The implementation of a new algorithm for calculating the hash will be performed today, at block number 6560000

From the new algorithm, we expect the CPU's algorithm properties to be strengthened. Thus, the specification changes to:
Algorithm:  Terahash (sha3 + GPU resistent hashing)
Reward for block: 1-20 coins, depends on miner power (one billionth of the remainder of undistributed amount of coins and multiplied by the hundredth part of the square of the logarithm of the network power)

Thank you for your news and now this new algorithm is useful for CPU mining but not for GPU mining so many GPU miners will feel sad about it .
Do you think If you will upgrade this new algorithm to allow GPU mine this coin in future or only CPU mining ?

GPU miners are possible, but they will no longer give such an advantage to their owners as it was before.
We need maximum decentralization, which in our opinion is possible only on CPU mining.

The project is developing and it's very good! I hope that soon the Tera project will notice all the crypto community and it will be extremely popular!

We are creating a Fund in the amount of 1 million Tera, from which there will be payments for the contribution to improving the security of the Tera such as finding critical bugs and protection from DDOS attacks.

Tera is a great project with great prospects. Soon they should issue smart contracts and then it will compete with such monsters as ETH and EOS and NEO.

I support this project from the very beginning. The scale of TERA is not yet understood by the majority, but the better for those who now mine TERA coins. After the launch of smart contracts, a new phase of the project will begin.

it's strange that guys pay little attention to this project. There must be many disappointed with the technology. Many scammers spoil the reputation and crypto-enthusiasts do not believe that you can create a fundamentally new blockchain.
I believe that TERA smart money will become a unicorn!!

yes, you are right. It's worthy investing to this coin at this price or renting some severs mining this coin as an investment for a while . I can see the new technology and fast transaction per second but there are not many investors to attend to this coin?

Hey guys, we will update the main thread in a few days. New structure, more important informations.

@Rune @Danimore
I can see that you're interested in mining the coin. It's important to know the new requirements for the TERAhash algorithm.

The Terahash algorithm based on sha3 and optimized RAM hashing function. At least you need a strong CPU (> 4 Cores) and a lot of RAM (>8 GB).

Good combinations of CPU / RAM are:

Code:
4 Core CPU and 8 GB RAM
8 Core CPU and 16 GB RAM
12 Core CPU and 24 GB RAM
16 Core CPU and 32 GB RAM

You can use Windows, CentOS or Ubuntu to setup a full node and start mining. To connect to the network, it's better to have a static IP address and you need to open port 30000.

Blocktime 1 second. You only need to wait 8 seconds to make a fully confirmed transaction (without fees)

Thank you for your information . I have some 8 core 16 RAM VPS working and I will use them to mine some coins for testing but you must have detailed plans for marketing to attract more investors to join . You should make a plan to list this coin on some good exchanges .

This coin seems very early for big exchanges new technologies need to be handled a bit different then copycat alts you need to make sure there are no problems before you go to exchanges. I think focusing on development now is good coins news will spread on its own though word of mouth

Right now our main goal is to gradually complete the tasks on the roadmap. And yes, it's a completely new coin, no copycat or a hardfork. Our developer even has created a new algo for Tera and everything need to stabilize before start trading on exchanges.

Of course, we must not ignore the marketing and in the background we are working very hard on this topic. Stay tuned!
