There may be a drop, but anything sub 500 I would find hard to believe!

There already was one to $102 7 hours ago!

I think bitcoin wont go down anymore, its already climbing again.
We have seen the big drop today, and now it will climb to 800 or more.

There already was one to $102 7 hours ago!

That was just 1 person selling his bitcoins way to low on a exchange site.
He proberly made a mistake indeed, and alot of people instantly bought those bitcoins.
And Made a huge profit right away!
To bad i have no money and cant buy Sad

Mark my words, we will see btc to under $100 by friday... MT GOX will announce they are halting trading indefinitely. Be prepared to buy low if you can!

I have an open order for 10BTC at 110. I think it will be filled before the end of the week.

As someone who works on trading systems, the idea that the transaction ID cannot be used to ID transactions is ridiculous.  Using timestamp/quantity/price is not at all reliable.  So, this is a major problem for Bitcoin service providers.  Moreover, it is likely that many of them are now vulnerable to a "double withdrawal" attack that has been hitting Gox.

Say what you will, but I suspect Coinbase is going to announce a pause in their activity, and the news that Overstock and TigerDirect are not accepting Bitcoins, even for a week, is going to drive this market to $100 - easy.

They've all known about this type of double withdrawal attack for well over a year. Gox is the only one suffering because they have shitty software and poor accounting.

Also you don't counter it by using timestamp/quantity/price. You use tx outputs/inputs which can't be changed.

That is what I think that it must have been. Only explanation. Perhap he meant to dump 800 or something when he seen the Bid wall was deep enough but added an extra 0 or something like that.

Or perhaps it was BitcoinSteve. Some people will go to any lengths to win an argument on the internet.

Bitfinex victims. DO NOT TOUCH THE BFX TOKEN! Start moving it around, or trading it, and you will be construed as having accepted it as an alternative means of payment to your USD, BTC, etc.

Huh?  My experience has been the opposite, transaction ID are not normally useful.   Maybe you are just stirring the pot?

Dream on, why would people e.g. from Bitstamp sell all their coins? If your neighbours company goes bankrupt because he was an idiot do you close yours too?

Something major is going to happen this week... I am warning you all now..

I am sorry but I have to bring this lingo in here....Is this "asstalk"?

you may have been asleep during the major fireworks but suffice to say his prediction was uncanny.  He made the prediction when the market was at about $700, made that comment when it was at about $600, the coin dropped to $520, did the $102 blip then did the $500+ thing again until about 6am when it stared to hover about $600+ until 9am est.

Do you think BitcoinSteve is responsible for the dip to $102?

"Mark my words, we will see btc to under $100 by friday"

Seems oddly coincidental.

Maybe BitcoinSteve is Satoshi, and he has 1,000,000 BTC.  Dumping 10,000 as a joke means nothing to him?

Or maybe....just mayybee,
BitcoinSteve = Satoshi = Mandingo?

all coincidence ... if the value should fall though be prepared to buy and make some gain in the short run
