It is ordinary to have a time of high gas charges, particularly when their a major ICO up and coming in which Gas Competition will happen keeping in mind the end goal to buy the token quick against other. Simply hold up as it will kill not long after that occasion

Nah, major ICOs no longer have that effect on the network. Or should I say, there are no more major ICOs that sell out in 5 seconds or whatever. If you check the last month since OP posted, there are 2 major things stressing Ethereum. The first is all those dapps as usual, gaming as usual when they hype is still fresh, especially the new fomo games (exitscam games). The second is those new exchanges with so called pay to vote systems. All kinds of different schemes now to attract new traders and spend money to get their useless ERC20 tokens listed. And everyone's rushing, so the miners are the happiest.

Yes, I don't understand how gas can be expensive this month. when ethereum's price decreased. things that were very detrimental to me to send tokens.

What do you guys think about this Gas price surge since Saturday I think. I have been monitoring gas price the whole day today and gas price is ranging from 40 gwei - 75 gwei. This will affect ICO and bounty distribution as they will get high fees in transferring tokens to other wallets. I just hope it becomes normal again like 8 gwei - 10 gwei per transaction.
I don't think that is a problem. because the higher the gas installed is also very influential with the delivery of a token to the wallet or market.
if the gas is lacking with what has been determined, the transaction will usually fail or slow.
as long as sending tokens can run smoothly, it won't matter to me  Cheesy

All this is due to the large amount of spam on the network. Some companies perform this kind of promotions to send a large number of people their tokens, so that they are interested and decided to check what tokens they came, there are also a number of companies that send tokens to those who send them a zero transaction.

Damn, such high traffic. Maybe a new exchange caused this?
Great days those were for the miners.
Nowdays, its back on the normal levels, which is great to see.

According to future narration and plans of the Ethereum [ETH] team in
the future will be the minimum gas price and transfers even faster. So do not worry.

One of the many flaws of Eth: Gas wars.

This can happen for a variety of reasons.
first off there is just simple bull runs.  Like last Jan. when the market is hot and strong, the number of transactions increases causing congestion and longer confirmation times.
This equals to higher Gas prices.

Other things that have happened and continue to happen are high demand ICOs.
If an ICO comes along with a lot of hype and a limited buying window, it becomes like Black Friday in America.
so many people are trying to rush in and get the deal, that the congestion and fees spike like crazy.

Then you have the odd ones, like Crypto Kitties.
A game that became crazy popular for only about a month that caused insane traffic on the eth network.

When many users are using ethereum as their transaction, the gas fee suddenly rise high. So it is just normal. Just wait for the transaction to be less to return back to normal gas fee.

Now the price of Ethereum is very low and for this fee in dollar terms are not large. I think it is convenient but it is bad for investors.

Watch and observe. I think this is repeated and occurs only when there are very interesting projects that give rise to resonance in the network and attract the attention of all people.

Why do you need such a small price Gwei? Personally, on the contrary, I am pleased with the increased activity in the network, it at least shows us that the network is not dead and at least something is happening in it.

Here, of course, a very strange situation, because it seems to me that, on the whole, it may be otherwise, it is completely unclear where such prices come from, because there is no load on the network now. Let's see what will happen in a few time.

Completely agree with you, that new exchanges give a very high pressure on the Ethereum network, and even more new crypto games influence on the network, and if look at it more attentively, this direction is on the start of developing.

It all depends not on the price of Ethereum, but on the load on the network. Gas is responsible only for how fast your transaction will be processed; if the network is overloaded, then low gas transactions will be processed last.

I just sent ETH a few days ago, and I don't need much fee GAS to send it out. In addition, there are very few big ICOs that make people raise fee GAS to scramble to buy its token

I remember what it was, just because of the large amount of spam in the Ethereum network. This usually happens when you distribute new coins or promotions from a particular project.

With the ETH fork which will take place in mid January the gas prices of will decrease significantly
due to the upcoming reduction of miners payouts.
