Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Even if there is a bitcoin ATM in my country, while it would be cool to withdraw my bitcoin earnings, it would mean selling my btc positions. I'm a HODLer. But I keep thinking if it contributes to bitcoin price going down since you're selling your btc basically.

If it is true the news or rumors that belgium has eight ATM machines for bitcoin, does this means that belgium is accepting bitcoin cryptocurrency in their country ,so if this so then it is good for bitcoin and tbe people who believe and invest in bitcoin, they can now use their bitcoin account in that country.

What are the pros of having bitcoin ATM machines? Why dont you buy bitcoin with ur phone?

Convenience with fiat. I can buy or sell bitcoin instantly with cash, no ids, no banks, no credit cards, no meeting people.

And it's also fastest way to trade, buying nor selling though it still depend on what machine you're using and it actually does with 15 seconds operation which is doing in phone can't happen. Also there some machine that also support eth, bch and ltc. So you shall gonna scan the qr code and you can also verify it through sms.

So this whole thing is great especially for people that don't have any bank accounts which is needed to buy bitcoin in trading site however the cons here is the fee, it actually reach almost 30% commission in one transaction and it's pity thinking it's worth some few satoshis.  Cry

Now what ? 8 atm's from a single country is still damn low . for sure other country do have more bitcoin atm's than belgium knowing that bitcoin is slowly becoming popular all over the world .

But that is still a good news because that can help bitcoin to become more recognizable due to the fact that other people are still doubting to use bitcoin because think that bitcoin is fake .

One of the main reasons why bitcoin or cryptocurrency is very volatile is because there are only few avenues to spend cryptocurrency without converting it to fiat money. But if we are able to get to a point where bitcoin can actually be spent directly for goods and services.

Belgium is home to the European Union so it is very good that they embrace bitcoin. Hopefully other EU member countries will continue to add this bitcoin ATM machine everywhere making it easier for people

In Antwerp 3 ATMs
In Brussels 2 ATMs
In Ghent 1 ATM
In Hasselt 1 ATM
In Sint-Truiden 1 ATM

Does anyone know anything about this topic?
It is incredible to have more BTC atm around for more individuals get into BTC. Anyway I do understand that these BTC atm has far too high spread that make it extremely silly to purchase from the BTC atm. In a split second you will lose as much as 25% of your base speculation.

Its a great step taken, bitcoin ATMs are present in many other countries, how many total ATMs have been installed till now, it should have a rapid growth I believe.

I recently found this website:

https://coinatmradar.com/

Apparently there are more than 3400 ATMs across the globe and it's growing at an exponential rate:

https://coinatmradar.com/charts/#growth

On this website you can easily find an ATM near you, I had an idea like this myself for a website but it seems someone was faster than me. There is ad space there, I would consider it if I wanted to promote something, the website it's pretty cool, good design, excellent ranking in google, SEO wise it's a good deal.
Wow, thanks for sharing this website. I travel a lot and this is useful information for me and actually it making me happy somehow Smiley

This is really a good news to all crypto lovers.  To see such huge development of having 8 bitcoin ATM in Belgium is really nice to know. I hope there will be a lot of well functioning ATM in other countries sooner. There is no doubt the world is moving digital. Digital currency is the future and the future start from now.
For today more and more countries apply ATM machines. I am very happy or sad because if you travel to that country you can convert money using cryptocurrency.

This is very interesting. I have heard of Bitcoin ATMs being used in some countries already including Russia. If this Belgium story is also true, then it is very good for cryptocurrency.

It's simply not true you know.  I am from Belgium and I was looking for ATM's (to transfer BTC to fiat that is).  There WAS one in Antwerp.  I contacted them and the ATM was moved to the Netherlands.  Don't act like bitcoin is a thng here.  It's not.  It was for a brief while at the ath in dec/jan. Now it's not anymore.

Don't know if someone already mentioned it, didn't read all 12 pages I'm afraid...
But last I saw the only ATM in Ghent "broke" earlier in the year, with no intent of getting it fixed apparently Roll Eyes
Kind of annoying...
