FUD of course is the main reason why  people sell their coins at a lower price. The fear of traders becoming a bagholder will cause them to dispose their coins at a lower price than what they bought them for.
sometimes a project shows their failure, so sometimes, the coin holder is willing to take the risk of making the coin a severe dump. well, but some sell it because of the influence of bitcoin prices, or ETH.

For me the reason behind why people/holders dump it's because of being of lack of hope, and without enough strategy how to ride the risky situation , which is instead of keep holding and build new strategy for it ,they will sell off even it's too late , lol  and also because of "emotions" which is they're always dump no matter what happens to avoid further losses , but always regrets at the end , especially when there is a negative news or fake news about the future of market.

In my personal experience when the market is in a uptrend we expect to have more profit & holding coins. As a theory bull runs will fall & your profit levels are down. Having a greedy trading theory still we hold the coins & market starts to fall. Psychologically frustration of holding long term & lowering profits or for some personal needs people sell coins at this stage. They do buy some other coins as well. Eventually understands that holders are winners always as the previous higher highs mostly will cover in bull markets. Then the train has gone. This happens repeatedly. This is a mind game. Who has the strong trading theory of holding & learn about market trend only can win by trading not to sell low.

Mostly the cases are they panic especially when they see their portfolio all red with huge amounts of losses. They sell their coin so the loss would be minimal and when the price of the coin goes down more they buy them back so when it increases, they gain profit. I think that’s what they are thinking in my opinion though.

But I have seen people dump a coin as soon as it get listed on an exchange. Doesn't that mean they are the one helping to create loses for themselves?

This happens in all markets, not just in crypto.  It's no wonder why people don't make money trading, because they let emotion get the best of them and sell at a loss out of fear (usually).  As far as tokens are concerned, most are worthless and my guess is that a lot of the sellers got them from bounties and just need the money.  I don't think most of them ever intended to hold them long term.  Would you?

It's very hard to keep emotions out of trading when you're staring at a huge potential loss.  It's natural to want to cut your losses, and thus people buy high and sell low instead of the other way around.  You see it all the time.

I think that after ICO they always expect the price to increase quickly so they make a profit but it is not a long term investment anymore and they want to sell their coins with low price after ICO is their need for cash.

Have they got enough crypto gains that they need no profits no more?

they do not have the money they can afford to lose

What really is the reason why people dump?

many times what happens is that people make loans to buy crypto thinking that they will make quick profits and pay the loan, but when the price falls, these people panic and sell thinking that the price will fall to  $0. there are cases that simply the person uses his money and buys crypto and the instant the price falls the person loses hope and sells with damages because he does not believe that the price will rise. It is very difficult to be patient when we are at a loss.

Indeed it is their own decision here I do not want to know then the risk is borne alone, because panic will beat the confidence to hold on until it reaches at a very extraordinary price, greedy people only think about its benefits without knowing the problem they must achieve, enough commensurate with what they do with arbitrary to invest by not in the knowledge base.

As a natural deal in the market, sellers always want to sell high and buyers always want to buy low. But the reverse seem the case with those sellers who dump their Crypto coin or tokens for some very low and ridiculous price. Thus that's not a natural market deal. What really is the reason why people dump? Have they got enough crypto gains that they need no profits no more?
there  is   numerous  things  which facilitate  this.  one  of  the  key  things  is that  most  of  the   people  who  are  investing  in  the sector  are  doing  that to  make  a  profit,  they  do  not  really  believe  in  the  projects.  because  of  that  incase  of major  drop  in market  most  of  them  end  up selling  with  low  rates. some  of  them  also  sell  with  low  rates the  regulations  which  are  expected  to be enacted. in  some  instances  the  regulations  may  lead  to  reduction  in  rates. so as  to avoid major losses  some  of  them  have been  forced  to  sell  their  coins.

People that do dump they tokens and coins below the icos price are the bounty hunter and those that receive bonuses during the icos.  The market is an open one and you can even get some tokens by just filling some airdrops form.

Many people do dump their assets however, some set of people says that those people that use yo dump are the bounty hunter I can tell no. The main reason why people dump is the 50%or70% bonus they have get from ICO they just dump the whole token and they have make money.

I think that the main reason people sell is fear. They are afraid that right now the entire crypto market has been blown away and therefore they are selling all their coins. Just to take at least some money. There are very few professionals in the crypto currency market, most are ordinary people who do not understand anything at all in trading. No wonder they are called hamsters. It's just a crowd of people who buy when the price rises (enthusiasm and blind faith) and sells when the price falls (fear and insecurity). So they do not follow the basic rules of successful trading.

Oh my! Really? Buy when price rising and sell when price is dropping. Then they have the money to throw around. If they have $40 worth of btc only. They would learn to kill fear and be patient till their initially investment make some more profit for them.
Really? Dedicate us in your thoughts about what the author wants to know. How do you explain this situation? The whole crypto market is a field where whales take their money from people, using the most primitive human emotions: greed and fear. It is the whales that create such traps for ordinary people, because they know the psychology of man perfectly. They perfectly understand how the market will behave in this or that situation. There are a small number of people who have learned and continue to learn trading in the crypto market, these people are successful, they understand how it works. But most still can not overcome greed and fear, so every time we see the same thing. The price is skyrocketing, then falling ... growing and falling, etc. If all people, as you write, took and learned to fight with their emotions, then the crypto currency market would not be so volatile.
So think first about this, and then write your justified answer!

Because they are panicking. Newbie moves. Why would they sell their crypto? When it can recover again soon? They're just being impatient. We are still in bear market. The fear cause them to panic sell. Anyway, this is just one of the reasons. Maybe some of them are bounty holders or ICO investors. They sold their crypto once it hits the market. Why not? It's a quick money. This is normal i think. Because the ICO coin will drop as soon as it hits the market. Even it's cheaper. At least they get small amount of profit. They just followed their emotions. This is not good tho. Don't inclilude your emotions when trading. It is a vital quality a good trader should have.

Probably the most common reason why people or investor done such thing is to cut losses or they are on emergency in need of money. When we do invest we do always aim that buy low sell high thing but the market condition or things do happen now on most investment where price do drop significantly which even just initially or just newly listed on exchangers and definitely you would really be on panic or stress on how to get out.You wont really have any choice but to sell out early and this would depend on how you do hardly trust such project.

See it as an opportunity to buy up your favorite coin(s) at way lower levels. At near peak levels there was no more money flowing into this market, which this correction will positively change as more people will be motivated to start buying again, especially so with how institutions won't ever enter at peak levels. They will just wait for an opportunity to enter at lower levels and then drive the price up to increase the value of their holdings. Bear markets without a MtGox situation never last long, don't forget that -- the price will either stabilize and go up slowly or trigger a major FOMO run at some point. Just look at the charts going back all the way to 2013 and see for yourself what happened....

Absolutely, right my friend. In order to avoid any more losses, people start dumping or they just can't cope with the market volatility and want an exit. Who knows? There are many reasons for dumping, but the one aforementioned stands out still

I guess that's because panic selling, because as far as I know token will only have a high price in the beginning and trading will be crowded at the beginning, if the new tokens enter an exchange. I personally also hold some tokens and it turns out after I hold for a long time and it turns out the popularity of these tokens does not have good supporters. So there are hardly any serious buyers and so many sellers are pegging high prices that will not be sold.

Agreed, I've seen this a couple of times, selling way too below the ICO price,
I don't know what they're thinking but from what I've observed they are desperate to sell.
Don't settle for less, be patient
