This is the first coin launch I've been online for, could someone explain in simple terms why everyone's saying it's a 'scam' and that it's been a terrible failure? All I've seen is that it launched a few minutes later than they said it would.

Thanks!

Fucking unfair launch. And what was wrong with ruby.hash.so ? I got shares and no problem according to cgminer, but the pool showed no shares to me.
E: And what is that "50 RBY" per block?
check your port, maybe you mining another coin...got this type with hash.so too
Fuck, fuck, fuck. Why there is port 1337 on the front page if the right port is 3415 (in getting started section)? Could have got lot of ruby from hash.so Angry Angry Angry
E: Shit, now I get it. I should have selected Ruby from that dropdown list. Damn it.

The first few blocks must have been really juicy.
No way could they have 50 coin blocks to get that 1.2 million coins.

Port 1337 is able to switch your workers between different coins.  I used this, too. But hash.so said I have only 200kh/s while cgminer was stating way over 2MH as always. First time on that pool and I think also the last time...  Angry

Bit rude aren't you? I make a post asking for help understanding why this was a bad launch, and you slam me for not understanding why this was a bad launch? Did you even think that through?

Good launch by United-miners, terrible fail launch by bitember. This is why I always sign up to multiple pools Smiley

Also the launch wasn't fair at all rofl half the pools still aren't working. I also signed up to dedicated pool which appears to not be up

The source was given out to a selective few pool owners in advance. Bitember was not one of them. We're up and running strong now thought. But this was in no way a "fair launch"

i can confirm this... Even if our pool coins4everyone.com is up and running now since some minutes; all i can say is that was not fair at ALL.
nothing on IRC; then some folks says some pools are hashing then somebody put a link of the source code on dropbox; the zip is not compiling without making a chmod; github still empty... wow that's not a good beginning!

it's like this is a big masquerade.

Well, you must be moronic if the only thing wrong with this coin you can find is that it wasn't launched at the time they said it would be launched. Sorry if the truth hurts. Have you even read any of the post in this thread?
