I'd offer to do it but we'd be limited to coins on Binance only (I don't have any other active exchange accounts at the moment and I don't want to open more) and I probably won't be able to give the updates that Loyce has been providing.

taking a break - expect delayed responses

As I promised you, here is the graph, but this time it is not based on a day basis but on a month. After the NMC drama, was difficult to come with a price for each day, so took the lazy way Smiley

Well choosing 13th as a starting date should suggest what will be the outcome Wink it there gonna be a third one, then the outcome will be positive, I'm sure.

My man LoyceV, just saw the tx coming online and that's when I remembered this 10-month round 2 thing was over.

Personally, a bit peeved that my PIVX was in profit all the way up to Month 8 before losing 50%, but yes, this is a reflection of how bad we are at picking alts, and how strong Bitcoin consistently is, rather than how bad a game this is.

This is a game and we all know how shitty managing a portfolio like this is, 3 different exchanges, keeping an eye on delisting and crap like that. We all knew the risks and I think none of us are really that disappointed, since we're all BTC boys (aren't we?).

Like HCP, I'm ready to chip in another round too because games are fun. I'm actually even ready to just trust someone to keep it all on 1 exchange (I suggest Binance or Bittrex only because they seem least likely atm to me to eff people up with sudden delistings) to ease things up. No need for wallets. I would offer myself up too, except I probably don't have the same level of trust and I don't have fully verified accounts at either and that's always not a safe thing in my book.

Lovely game, always fun.

I've sent a reminder to Poloniex, asking about the status of the still disabled NMC-wallet. In just 11 days, they're going to delist it, and 23 days ago they told me it'll be updated.

The instant response by email:
Quote
If you are receiving this message, you will need to visit https://support.poloniex.circle.com to submit this request through the new Support Center.
I really dislike the way Poloniex support works, I now have to enter a detailed request in a field a quarter of the size of the subject line of this post!
They just leave me in the dark with an approaching deadline to lose all NMC. I'm not sure if this is their normal way of business, but I'm not amused Sad

After several inquiries, Poloniex now responded saying: "the delisting date for NMC has been extended to August 17th 2019".

Needless to say, I'm not amused by the way they just disable withdrawals for a very long time!

And yet... we have people who claim that storing funds in custodial wallets is "better" than using a hardware wallet... Roll Eyes

This is just another textbox book example of why storing funds "long term" in any sort of custodial wallet is simply a "Bad Idea"™. Your funds are basically at the mercy of the service provider who can (and historically have) made all sorts of arbitrary decisions that affect end user access to their funds Sad

It's pretty messed up that they can say "we're delisting <coin>" and at the same time disable withdrawals for said coin... SMH

So I got lucky missing this.  My coin pick would, have been Bci and it is pretty crushed. It may also be locked if held in the wrong exchange.

I have 8300 of them which used to be more then 1200,usd.

Now less then 600 usd.

I’ll be interested in joining if you guys run another one. Somebody PM me if you get another one going, I’m awful at digging into places like this in the far reaches of the forum.

I saw the first one Loyce ran & said I’d definitely join the second one, doh!

I don’t want to miss out again because it seems a lot of fun.

It took a long time, but Poloniex temporarily opened withdrawals for NMC (before delisting them)!

I'm willing to take it off your hands, yeah. Surprised to see OG not taking the NMC, since they mostly got me into it Wink

NDpoiaYM983hn5C933XZhPA4VFpPjMhdSL

Take it off my tab, sir! Hopefully this helps you finish this up without a hitch.
Are you still willing to buy the NMC (83.63362106 NMC minus 0.01 NMC withdrawal fee) at Coinmarketcap rate (currently $0.650679 / 0.00006438 BTC)?
If yes: is the above address still valid?

Bill gator hasn't responded yet, and my time to withdraw from Poloniex is ticking away. I didn't have a wallet, but it turns out Coinomi (on Android) supports NMC, so I've withdrawn the coins. I now have 83.62362106 NMC in my wallet.

I also found out I've had a Livecoin.net account sine 2017, but it tells me I have to reset my PIN, and that withdrawals are disabled for 10 days after doing this. So for now, I won't deposit the coins there.
I haven't done KYC on this exchange, and I don't plan to do so, but I'm not sure if they'll let me withdraw without it. I don't trust them at all, but it's the only one that really trades NMC.
If anyone can help out exchange them, please post!

I've sent 4 Doge to Livecoin now, to see if I can withdraw it.
Update: the minimum is 10, so I sent some more Doge. I clicked withdraw, it said it's processing, and hasn't arrived after a few hours. It doesn't show up on my withdrawal-list.

The next day:
Quote from: Support (senior)
Your DOGE withdrawal has been declined for technical reasons.

I asked for a follow up:
Quote from: me
This was my test-withdrawal. The wallet was supposed to be working, why was it declined?

Quote from: Support (assistant)
As it was already said: for technical reasons.

They're not really helpful Sad

On second try, it worked! I'm going to deposit the NMC now, and convert them to Bitcoin. Wish me luck Cheesy

Quoting myself for an update:
This will be the last Round for a while. Using 3 different exchanges made it more work than it was already, the delisting was unexpected and disappointing, and most of all: this is the second Round in a row that suffered big losses. I know we all knew the risk, and I know many participants (including myself) considered the 0.01 BTC gone the moment we started this, but still, running a loss-making-Roller-Coaster doesn't feel right.
If someone else wants to host this, I'll be happy to join. I just don't want to be the one to let people down again Sad

Hah, I was so surprised to see a transaction on my coinbase address and it took sometime before I realize where those coins came from. Thanks man...again Smiley

This finalizes LoyceV's Legendary 10 Month 10 Person 10 Altcoin Investment Roller Coaster #2.
Thanks for following it all the way through and dealing with the hassle that is Poloniex... personally, I wouldn't have cared if you'd just eaten that BTC... but I guess $6 is $6 and no doubt someone would have accused you of theft or embezzlement or something for not returning every last satoshi owed Tongue

Any plans to run a Round 3? If not... I might be tempted to try and organise something similar.

I don't think anyone will ever find a reason to accuse LoyceV. Even with proof and pre-approval they do not differ from the original terms if it can be helped.  Wink
I tried, lol.

Because they have to go up at some point.... don't they. I'll keep an eye out for either of them, glutton for punishment and what not.
