Many people out there don´t believe that Ethereum can be a long term hodling, they simply use it participate in ICOs, sell and buy bitcoin again with the profit. Do you think that may change this year and ethereum can be seen as the choice to hodl?
especially with the current prices that continue to decline, of course it makes people become more doubt about ethereum but I am not one because I still believe that ethereum has good potential in the future and the price
Even in this year I am sure ethereum will be able to rise to the highest price will even be able to exceed it

I am a long term investor in ETH. I evaluated the potential of ETH as quite high so I decided to buy and hold it. I am pretty sure that ETH will be more than 2000$ but it may take much time to get that level. You may love or hate ETH but ETH is the second popular coin after BTC and there are lots of investors who belive in ETH like me.

I think for now Bitcoin is better, because I see Botcoin price increase is higher than Ethereum.

some speculate that the ethereum will reach $ 2000 by the end of this year, I think they state it on an ever increasing trend basis, and not a few now choose to hold hold ethereum like you

Bitcoin and Ethereum are always suitable for long-term investment. Because many people can not be patient until they make a profit, they usually invest in altcoins and ICOs in the short run so that they can make the most profit possible, but investing in such an ICO comes with risks. Therefore, it is only safe to invest in BTC and ETH.

You're right. Other may choose between these two coins, but the best thing to do is to choose both instead. These both coins are well-established, well-organized and well-managed coin, therefore we can rely on these two because aside from having a good value it also gives a good profits and a long term investments. In order them to continue reigning and giving hopes to us, we must also give back what they've given unto us by simply helping and supporting them to there plans and projects.

Staying with bitcoin is beneficial in my experience. It is long-term, while the ethereum  has not been designed in such a way. Anyways, this is a token. Tokens are changed soon.

Are there still people who think that bitcoin can be compared with ethereum? they both are very different technologies.
Ethereum is meant to be a contract generator + an entire blockchain, and bitcoin is just a blockchain as a meant of store value.

Actually, almost people often use ETH to transfer Tokens and buy some ICO, because the profit that ETH bring less than invest on other Altcoins and its growth about price is also slower than others. But, Bitcoin and ETH are still two coins that you'd better hold for long term. It's alway safe and definite

Bitcoin has 21 million supply, and the prediction is 2140 will be reach the limit. While ethereum is unlimited supply. Both of them are long term, but bitcoin is the general use of all.

This year? I don't think so as Ethereum has a lot of flaws based on my research.

Other altcoins with similar use might overthrow Ethereum sooner or later.

Bitcoin tends to lead most of the altcoins but I think it's best to HODL both of them.

I am a firm believer in ETHEREUM but BITCOIN is still the lion in the crypto jungle. Also the bitcoin devs have implemented the lightning which has increased the speed of transactions and also reducing the transaction cost significantly, and ether devs still has to implement there sharding and casper concepts. Let's see how it goes. But for next 18 months I don't see eth overtaking btc.

The recent classification of cryptocurrency by the Chinese puts ETH ahead of bitcoin. ETH is the backbone of almost all ICOs. ETH is ranked second to bitcoin on coinmarketcap. There is a fork in the making to improve ETH scalability.

With all these developments, it is reasonable to believe that holding ETH is worthless?

Understanding the fundamental differences between bitcoin as a product and Ethereum as a medium allows us to move to comparing the assets of ETS and BTC. It will help to determine what is better bitcoin or Ethereum, when it comes to investing and mining. Before we go to the definition of advantages and disadvantages, it is necessary to list the community:
- both resources are mined and traded, that is, mined and bought;
- to store the key codes that ensure ownership, you need special wallets;
- trading in cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin (bitcoin) and Ethereum (ethereum) takes place on exchange platforms;
- the cost of both cryptocurrencies depends largely on supply and demand, that is, subject to jumps in connection with the events of the industry.

Well it's true that both bitcoin and etherium has gained a lot of popularity among the people all over the world and both the cryptocurrencies are doing really great in the financial markets all over the world. But still I would prefer Bitcoin over etherium because it is the oldest form of cryptocurrency. Then it is way more popular than etherium and also has way more potential users who are willing to invest money in bitcoin than etherium.

I think that both are worth attention but btc is more popular. Does this mean that it is better? Some experts give preference to ether but the price of btc is higher at the moment which means you can earn more if holding it

I think bitcoin and ether are great for long-term investments.
second in price increases take a long time and slowly.

No questions about it as another coin to hold.

ETH has it and its market cap isn't joking that makes it valuable than the rest.

I'm actually holding it because I believe on it.

I'm holding so many ethereum too, After sharding release and there will be no more congestion to the ether blockchain and that means if more dapps can run smoothly on ethereum. Remember the total transaction in the ethereum network is more than bitcoin and I guess that's the main point.
Wow how many Ethereums are you holding then?

I see that's the main point of sharding and that's why Vitalik is with continuous upgrade to ETH's network to make it more reliable, faster and convenient.
