In the last few days, we’ve experienced a massive rout in the cryptocurrency market.

Skeptics are laughing, traders are fleeing , and even HODLers are worried that the sky is going to fall.

The home page of coinmarketcap is awash in a sea of red. And as if by some strange design, every 7 day price graph looks like they’ve been lazily copy pasted from coin to coin.

Crypto coins are almost on the same position as they have their low markets if you have ever noticed the prices of each best recommended coin you will clearly see the difference but almost all are down as compared to their normal values. Bitcoin being the base currency has affects over other coins but not too much as we know that major one is demand rate for every single product in the market.

in general the market follows the price of Bitcoin. And the reason is quite simple, Bitcoin is still the main gateway to the cryptos.

It's the first. It's the biggest. It is the safest and most tested. Everyone will always organize their strategies by looking at Bitcoin.
That is always the thing, bitcoin tend to make the whole market what it is in terms of its movement and most times, it is how the bitcoin market moves that would determine the lane most traders will want to be taking in the market to their favor judging by the reactions on the chart at that point in time. We know there are actually selected few altcoins that tend not to go too far down in most cases, or tend to stand out from the general market movement, but if we are to look at it on the large scale, I will say majority of them move based on the general sentiment in the market with most of it having to do with bitcoin.

Many people are speculating like we are going to see what we had experienced in late 2014. But, all the leading coins are posed to have massive growth in long run hence, I believe that I never need to worry for my decision of adopting cryptos for my rest of life.
In 2014 and 2015, we had 1/5 fall down where in 2018 so far we have seen 1/3 fall down from ATH in both the scenarios with respect to bitcoin price movements. It might mean that there are still down trend and almost all the altcoin may follow bitcoins in coming weeks. It would be hard to filter out a coin which is resistant to bitcoin's fluctuations as there could be no guarantee that it will remain resistant to bitcoin's all the times.

I think is a monotonous market. All coins are at the knees of bitcoin, going green, red and dark red as bitcoin do. I look for a time when coins growth will be separate parallel.

While BTC is the coin to watch as it dictates a lot and determines a how alts move. But I've been studying Gochain (GO) and it's been steady giving between 10-15% even in this bears season. Definitely a coin to take a look at. Despite BTC being sideways for a while now, GO has been making steady moves guys

Almost all of them. I think tether and all other stable coins are ... well stable. I think bitcoin is in a league of their own. However, all others are either full on moving all together or they are going down because they are dying.

The first one basically all similar coins like ripple, ethereum, litecoin, dash and probably at least hundreds of others are moving up and down according to what they do together, if all go up all goes up if they go down they go down, there are few rare ones that moves themselves and do something crazy like pump or whatever but it is never the same coin over and over again, its always one coin after another. There are also coins that basically is dying and going lower and lower constantly and eventually die off and do not return back to life.

All cryptocurrency are following the market. If the market is bearish, all cryptocurrency coins are also bearish just like this year's bearish year where every coin lose its value by more than 50%. Not even one coin was exempted from the downward trend brought by the red market.

Some other coins if the price will go down some other coins also will fall down for their price and like a contagious disease for coin to other coins.

Most of altcoins follows BTC and ETH Movement, declining in value. But there are still some coins that find ways to earn more. We just need to know whether they did some update to make their product pumps

There may only be one market, at the absolute most there are two - Bitcoin and alts. You'll get individual pumps here and there but all of them return to the general mean eventually.

Factually all the market follow suit with Bitcoin price. Without Bitcoin, the market is not and hence crypto is also not. I don't know whether there'll be a time where we won't have a circumstance as such but for now, let's hope for the best.
Anyways some ALTs don't follow price at an instance but wholesomely, they all follow the trend.

Every currency follows the market for 90% or more of the time, the only time it doesn't is if there's any major movement due to news, development, etc. In the last 9 months only a select handful of coins have been able to trend against the market and remained in the green over that period, they're the ones with the best development and potential for the future.
I would say most times, the movement is basically dependent on the altcoin market itself as well as the bitcoin market in most situations. We have seen instances where the bitcoin market tend to take the full domination in the market and the altcoins taking a bow, as well as bitcoin consolidating and then we see the altcoins taking a huge hit to the moon.

Most times, it always depends on how you understand the market, monitor the trend and you are able to deal with it. Like I always say, we have two coins in the market, bitcoin and altcoins, and all altcoins move most of the time in the same manner.
I do not think that all altcoin are moving in the same manner, to me I think that there are some altcoin potential which always have good potential and which price can boost up very soon after the market become a little stable, while some coins after getting down its become difficult for them to recover their position again.

Crypto market already in bearish mode in 1 years and this is so long times, and i think last year in 2018 the market long bearish because in 2016 and 2017 the crypto market has been in bullish trend. So from this historycal , i believe the bull market will come in the end of this year or sooner.

Why you are bumbling a old topic ?

@OP
I guess all the coins are following the trend. In recent times, I have watched waves which is moving against bitcoin/eth's movements but previously it also was trading along with trend.

What is the significance of finding a coin which is not following the market ?

Every coin eventually gives into trends of the market. The only thing that keeps them changing is that some coins move different from the market for short periods of time.

For example, some X coin could go up during a bear run because of a news for that coin and the price could change quickly however eventually after all of that is done the coin will fall back to what the trend is, if market went down 20% in the past week then that coin could go up 100% but eventually go back down the original price and drop 20% to reach the market averages.

Hence, all coins could have short period of bursts, specially small coins with small prices and small market caps could move really differently however no matter what happens the coin will eventually follow the market. Except the bad ones which just keep going down and down and down until they do not exist even if the market goes up.

it will surprise you that the market has been flowing down. the recovery stage is yet to be certain. currently, we have no idea of what and what will happen in the next few months. the market as we all know looks like the cryptocurrency has no future. there is certainty that renovations and new ideas will still change the minds of people.

All Altcoins follow Bitcoin, that is written, no Altcoin has a life of its own, they depend directly on Bitcoin, the only way they go up is for Bitcoin to be placed in an uptrend, some Altcoin moves them are groups of PUMP and DUMP. That's why it's its rare forms ... You just have to understand the market.

Most of coins are following the market and sometimes  differrent of what happened to the market. They have coins that are good even the market dumping but they have coins are not good if the market up because you cannot see any movement of increasing the price.

It is true that all the major altcoin follow bitcoin, but if you look at the market you can daily see some coins gaining ten percent to seventy percent on a daily basis, just check the chart in coinmarketcap and you will understand how the market is behaving on a daily basis. I never invested in those coins or never checked those and hence i cannot give a concrete answer on how these movements happen, may be it is a pump and dump scheme but the market moves on a daily basis irrespective of the bitcoin market. But looking at the broader picture if we want to see a recover in the entire market we need movement in bitcoin.

WHAT WILL BE THE NEXT TREND

The market is literally following the trend of Bitcoin and nothing more, so we should first see Bitcoin before investing on other alts, but you can go on a pump and dump group for you to earn.
