Slow transactions, fee cost, a possible attack of 51% in the future, big size of blockchain, the complexity of mining. Bitcoin has many shortcomings, I don't think that this is the future. The future is for improved altcoins.
Shortcomings you say... sure there are some, like with any technology. Still a lot of room for improvements. Close to 10 years of development, lots of obstacles behind and probably more ahead but saying that some clones will take over is just wrong. Most of the problems you mentioned are dealt through segwit anyway and I'm more than sure that more elegant solutions are already planned or at the least being thought about in dev headquarters. Have faith, without it nothing can prevail, not even gold. |

I think it will be bright and brilliant! btc will occupy a place it deserves and will become a currency that will be used by most companies. I am sure that this will happen in the nearest future or at least at the end of the year

If you compare with other coins, it seems to me that the future of bitcoin is the most promising. Even if we assume that the crisis in the crypto-currency market will be longer than everyone expected bitcoin will remain a coin with the greatest confidence so capital can move from altcoins to bitcoin and this will make it the most tenacious.
I think bitcoin in future will be brighter and more on strategic technolgy system in terms of different transaction.It seems that bitcoin will be more promising and still in top of all coin in crypto currency.And at the end of this year bitcoin will achieve the highest price that everybody wanted.. |

No one really knows the future of bitcoin, whatever that we see on the internet is just a speculation. For me i think that the future of bitcoin is either bright or not, because our technology now upgrades faster, and i think that in the future, someone might create bitcoin competitor, and that might be the end of bitcoin. This is just my speculation, so please respect. Thanks. |

Bitcoin really is going to make great breakthroughs with the blockchain system in a few years. Most of the governments in this direction take the decision to implement. But now the people are also staying away because of the decline and the life. We'll wait and see.

Bitcoin has already made a lot of breakthroughs but there is a lot more to come! There is still a lot of fear and uncertainty in the crypto market. A lot of people that invested in December are still down a massive amount and they are spreading major crypto FUD. |

I personally see the bright future of Bitcoin it will become future currency.Bitcoin is the king of the cryptocurrencies. It is very expensive, but there is reason to believe it will continue to gain value. Many other coins are on the rise in its wake. Don’t listen to the people who say the bubble has popped. Well i think the future of bitcoin will dominate the other currency though , but then again bitcoin are now facing problems for instance , fake news and the banks. And leads to down rate of market cap of bitcoin , but then again still rooting for it's success though , sooner or later we can see the price increasing as expected. |

At least there will be one country whose currency is dead, possibly Argentina or Venezuela. This will make the bitcoin adopters increase enormously, which will trigger an increase in bitcoin value to over USD 50 thousand when it happens. 95% of digital currencies other than bitcoin will disappear, just like when dotcom sites are booming. On the other hand, digital currencies that survive the exchange rate will increase dramatically. This will happen in the next four to six months.

It sure is volatile which is the main reason why many day traders are still sticking on to BTC  . The future of BTC is something which nobody can predict. Yet I believe Bitcoin if pertains the demand, will skyrocket in price in a few years and this could benefit the most to the early investors. I think BTC still lacks some features which the new cryptocurrencies like ETH and EOS has. I think that BTC will still have a good price in future but the other cryptocurrencies will be used more for business purposes and making transactions and payments. |

the future of bitcoin is not much different from the present, sometimes it is in high and low value position, so it is low and will rise again. because the value is so significant that the market is affected. My expectations are not much different from other bitcoiners hope, I want to achieve success with bitcoin.

I think no one cannot define the future of bitcoin yet and also it's too early to do because the world and it's countries still haven't grasp the importance of it so bitcoin future will depends mainly on how people, organization, governments will react. To continue Bitcoin vision and mission and to expand globally what we should do as a community is to provide information and educate common people about it's potentials and benefits as a digital currency

In my opinion,not always bitcoin will lead the cryptocurrency market.So far right now, I think that it is possible that bitcoin will lead the cryptocurrency forever I am not seeing any good crypto right now,we all don't know what will happen next coming years so we can't give exact answer for the future,but what's important is right now bitcoin is the all time leading crypto. |

Many predict the future of Bitcoin, Bitcoin's future is very good to serve as an investment tool. We do not know what Bitcoin will become in the future! which obviously, I believe Bitcoin will bring goodness to all of us.
Bitcoin has survived until now, it proves the quality of bitcoin can compete in the stock market, the price can go through the price of gold, as well as to the popularity is very fast growing in people's bodies.
