Poverty is not a choice mate so I don't agree with your phrase. Stupidity however can be a choice sometimes if you don't want to educate yourself and inform yourself about all the important things as later in your life those decisions will reflect in your life. However when we talk about poverty , do you think people when they born they choose to be poor ? Or as they grow most of them don't fight to overtake their poverty ? Think again.

There have been lots of cases where people have proven your statement wrong. I'm sure you've heard the common story of dirt poor individuals who become rich entrepreneurs through perseverance, hard work, and even a bit of luck. It is just ignorant to say that poor people are stupid.

What OP means about "stupidity" are those people who are barking without any knowledge about the certain topic or situation, like in bitcoin, there are so many people who are judging it based on what they hear and read on the social medias even though they don't know what is going on, they are blowing the torch out of their stupidity.

Though I get what you meant, those people that you were saying are those people who lives in the street, they are not stupid, they are uneducated and there is a difference. Stupid people could be those people who have degrees yet stupid and loud while uneducated people are those who have big hearts that appreciates every little things and persevering people, no wonder some of them are now billionaires.

Not totally and not all the time I think. There plenty of people in this world who work their heart out each and everyday of their life but cannot escape poverty due to the corruption existing in the government. Farmers work harder than a person in the office but can you see how unfair it is when it comes to their salary? If you have all the chances to earn lots of money and you've let it slip out of your hands, then indeed, you are stupid and you are closer to poverty.

To born poor was not your choice but to die poor was. You have all the time to do what you can do to sustain your need and to become rich but some people doesn't want the process. Everyone wants to be rich but doesn't want to commit. Those people are the stupid ones not necessarily the poor but those who chose to be poor. Lastly, poverty was always there from the beginning because of the people who doesn't want to take the risk and become always safe. Life is like a gamble you need to take the risk.

I don't think that phrase is entirely correct. because in this world if we see a lot of fools who are successful and become rich. for example Thomas Alva Edison was born into a simple family and as a child he was known to be slow and dumb at catching lessons. but because of enthusiasm and hard work and repetitive effort he was finally able to create lights. and become a famous and successful person. in my opinion poverty is close to people who are lazy and do not want to try. even though we are stupid if we want to keep trying and work hard we can become rich people.

I beg to disagree. Your beginnings as a human is by pure chance. If you've born with a rich family, then you're hardwork in life is dramatically less than those born with poor families. Rich people tend to be lazy, while poor people do all that they can just to survive a day. I see more poor people really does the hard work but because of lack of resources, they can't afford to have education to raise their state of living.

Fools are those born with rich/middle class families that become poor since they have their set of tools to do the right decisions. If one's born poor, you can't blame him then tell him he's a fool.

There are many factors behind a person's intelligence level, and that includes the genetic and nutritional status obtained.  Rich people may find it very easy to get nutrition because it is supported by their economic status while poor people find it very difficult to meet their daily nutritional needs.
But in my opinion, success will be obtained not because of intelligence status but rather because of the willingness and determination to act.

There are lots of reasons why there are many people in this world who are poor, I believe in a saying that 'It is okay to be born as poor, but it is your fault if you die poor' because we have much opportunity in this world, we just need to explore and give everything we can in order to be succeed.

But are you sure that those who are lazy to learn and do not receive knowledge will be those who are poor or not? It is very clear that they may not study but if they work hard, their lives are normal, the income is probably not high and sometimes it cannot grow too well but it cannot be called poor, saying that they lack knowledge is more accurate. Stupidity have different meanings depends on how you will use it in a sentence, it could be stupid like doing something bad even if you know what will be the outcome, or the other stupidity that means no educational backgrounds. Being stupid could not make you poor, sometimes it is already there, you were born poor and most of those people didn't have goals in life that is why they remain poor.

It is not their fault if they feel that way, we can't blame them because it is hard to live in the slums or in different streets where it is allowed for them to sleep. Not all of the time for me. We cannot really say that the poor ones are all fools. It is not their fault that their rich when their government is stupid and greedy. If you have all the resources and ability to earn large amount of money but still chose to slack still, you can be considered stupid for you are going to be stuck in poverty your whole life. Try considering the fact that not everyone gets the chance to earn money and find a stable job so if you have one, better not waste it.

You are right, added to that, everyone of us has been stupid once, we are born with zero knowledge at all, so our parents and surroundings teaches us what to do, so for me, it is up to every individual how they are going to manage their life, poverty is not the reason not to pursue our dreams since there are lots of successful people who has nothing at all.

It depends on persons dedication, sacrifices  and dreams if he want to become wealthy. People who has a dream, strive to reach it no matter what.  Though poverty  and stupidity maybe correlated but in a small portion in my opinion. Well... this group of people... I mean those who don't love material things... are idiots in my opinion. Because in the modern world, everything depends on your wealth. If you have enough money, then you will be able to lead a peaceful life. You don't have to worry about emergency situations, medical conditions, utility bills.etc. You can have a peaceful life even if you are poor. But then, you won't be very happy. You will be leading a hand-to-mouth existence, and you may not be able to afford if some unexpected expense comes along.
