Right now it will be more better for you to analysis before to join the bounty campaign , first of all you need to find out whether the ICO project is looking good or just they are only spreading hype in the market with simple scam of attracting investors , probably it is very tough to find out the perfect ICO , but still you can compare present time all ICOs concept and in that way you will be able to identify the perfect one to choose .
And also try to choose that ICO which is not only paying token but also some btc with that , in this way you can be remain away from scam at few extent .
And at another side you can do also trading ( with few more better altcoins , instead of any garbage type coin ) .

You should not give up, maybe there are some airdrops and/or bounties that are just fake ICOs but I think many are still good. You just need to research about the ICOs you are going to join so that you will know what looks like a scam.
