cheaperinbitcoins.com, sound like a good idea.
By the way, freeforums.org told me they're not accepting bitcoins for now.

2 different forms of free-money: Freicoin (free of basic interest because it's perishable), Mutual credit (no interest because it's abundant)

FSF now accepts Bitcoin, I would like to reclaim the pledge.
Guys, just to let you know I am not paying any pledges any more and also, I haven't been maintaining the spreadsheet for a long while. For the third time I am looking for some trusted person here to take over from me. Please PM me if interested.

Has anyone offered taking this over for you? I think this is a great service to the bitcoin community and would take it over myself if I had the time.  Smiley

Success!  I have successfully convinced www.abugames.com to accept Bitcoin.  The logo is posted directly below their other payment option logos for credit card and paypal.  Prices on the site are still listed in USD, but bitcoin is now a payment option during the checkout process.  When selected, a new order total is computed in BTC.  At the end of the ordering process, the customer is presented with a unique payment address that corresponds with each order ID.

My bitcoin address for the reward is: 1AgZgDq77Ahux1K7LdoYUJdYXT8fQanwn4

Thank you to all those who have sponsored this challenge.  Is this reward offer available more than once per applicant?  (I might know of a few more stores who would go for it.)

I will also post in another thread some tips that might help others who are working to convince more shops.

Excellent Job My friend !!! BTC will begin to fly in 2012 !!

I should be mention I contacted the UK sector of wikimedia and they were looking into accepting bitcoins. It may not be possible due to their terms as a charity but will be noted to the board Smiley

make www.freelancer.com accept bitcoins would be cool!

I'm sending them a suggestion about this too.

SealsWithClubs poker room has  over 400 players online. Buy in from .01 to 60btc.      BTCSportsMatch lets you bet sports with vig free lines!  Best kept secret in bitcoin....          LocalBitcoins.com is very user-friendly now for bank transfers.  You don't have to live close to trade when in the same currency area.
Electrum client is awesome. Try it. And please stop sending bitcoins to sites run by security newbies, or don't complain when you lose everything.

Nobody can steal an idea. Ideas are not private property.
Sorry, I don't want to start a discussion.

But you could say who are you talking to.

www.leaugeoflegends.com
www.runescape.com

I guess the bounties are no longer out there though.

Coinbase for selling BTCs
Fold for spending BTCs
PM me with any questions on these sites/apps!

RIP: http://www.montybitcoin.com

or Vircurex for trading alt cryptocurrencies like DOGEs
CoinNinja for exploring the blockchain.

I think all bounties are retracted. The title should be updated.

Yes either update thread title, non-sticky, or just start paying bounties again, one of the 3! edit: the wonders of PMs! Smiley

Hello Debbie,

I read that you are collecting donations to help people.
Do you accept bitcoins as a donation payment option?
If not yet - it is really easy to start accepting bitcoins.

The first method:
1) open the instawallet.org web page;
2) save the unique contents of the address bar;
3) publish your bitcoin address on your donation page.

(If you lose your unique address - you lose bitcoins!)

The second method (recomended):
1) open the multibit.org web page;
2) download and install the MultiBit program;
3) run it and then click on the Receive Bitcoin button;
4) publish your bitcoin address (and bitcoin swatch).

(If you lose your %APPDATA%\MultiBit folder - you lose bitcoins!)

You can easily sell your bitcoins on one of bitcoin exchanges.
Look here:
* https://mtgox.com/
* https://tradehill.com/?r=TH-R1537
* http://bitcoincharts.com/markets/

Here is a list of advantages that bitcoins can give you:
* the sender pays a very low transaction fee (0.0001 BTC now);
* no one can withdraw money (except you) or freeze the account;
* and you can raise additional funds from the bitcoin community.

I hope that my information may be useful for you. Good luck!

Heh, this one's cool: Back in April 2011 I emailed "Rap News" (thejuicemedia.com)

If you don't know them, they make rap-styled videos about recent political/social stuff: http://www.youtube.com/user/thejuicemedia?feature=watch and I think they gained loads of popularity with their stuff about wikileaks.

I actually got an email back:

Thanks again for your email. Just letting you know that we can finally accept Bitcoin donations!

Thanks for your support and for providing all that information. (Took us a while, sorry!)

they put bitcoin on their site as a donation option: http://thejuicemedia.com/donate/

just thought I'd let you know about my little success Wink

EDIT: this one is about the global economy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELEwjVRxxGE, features Ron Paul, Peter Joseph, pretty funny.

Donated some bitcoins.

Not sure if anyone has already suggest this or not:

Tom Leykis at www.blowmeuptom.com

He used to be on national syndicated radio and now has a live streaming daily (weekly) show from 3:00 - 7:00 pm PDT from Burbank, California.

Anyways, someone just phoned in and suggested he take donations for his staff using PAYPAL.

I have just written and suggested he use Bitcoin.

My copy to the station:

Tom and staff,

Why are you not taking donations using Bitcoin?

Get with the program and use Bitcoin as an accepted method for making donations.

www.bitcoin.org

www.weusecoins.com

AWESOME PROGRAM, way better than RADIO. Keep it up.

Woah. That isn't "suggesting", that's being pretty rude, and sounding entitled. May I humbly suggest that you read this link carefully: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Public_relations
