Some new updates are in progress at www.dopecoin.com as well as some new bounties on the forums there. Also the faucet is topped up and pumping out coins. All updates and new services are expected to be fully operational on Monday. The difficulty fluctuations that you are seeing on the mining pool are not correct and are an error caused by KGW in the MPOS pool software from what I understand.
This is a known bug apparently, I'll inquire with Aaron about it once again but from what I understand the values you are seeing on the pool interfaces are not a clear representation of the current difficulty level.
We are considering alternative methods that have just recently become available to help protect against multi-pools and we do take your concerns to heart. When we do encounter our first fork there will likely be a change or at the very least a KGW update to remedy this issue.
As much as I'd like to see the hashrate increase, you will find a much better return on your dollar by simply purchasing on Mintpal at these prices. Trust me lol, I made that mistake already.
If you have any more concerns let me know and I'll try my best to address them ASAP.

I've been buying a few.... but the biggest problem that we have is dilution!!! 684,000 COINS are added EVERY DAY!!! This is really a huge amount of coins. I would like to see this amount to be decreased else the price will continue dropping. At the current price every day 2.05BTC is being mine... meaning if we don't have 2.05BTC of buying that the coin price will have difficult times to move higher... For example when we compare it with Klondike coin only 1.3BTC is being mined every day,and still Klondike coin has problems to move higher. With Klondike coin we waited to long for a Fork what result with a huge number of coins already mine, maybe, i say, maybe, Dopecoin also need to have a look at their structure, decrease the speed of dilution but keep the total number of coins that will be mine. Not giving blocks of 475 but give away blocks of 350 or so this will already decrease the number of coins mine per day by 180,000 coins and the total amount to cover in BTC to 1.50BTC what give us more room for improvements.... |

I think that the biggest problem we have at the moment is the lack of retailers and users currently involved with DopeCoin.
Over the last couple of weeks I felt it was important to cross some major infrastructure milestones off the list with the understanding that DopeCoin is not something that is going to slowly build over time, but rather something that is expected to blow up overnight after reaching the right audience.
On Monday we will of accomplished within our first month, development wise, what many coins have still yet to accomplish, and that is with a very small community and limited outside contributions.
Our next milestones will be focused on media exposure and if results are anything like our development efforts we will be anticipating some strong results rather quickly.

So are you going to New York? Everybody will be there? I notice that you were planning to go to Canada? Is it not a good idea to delay Canado with 1 month and get to New York first and the travel to Canada? Or first to Canada and then New York. |

In order to hit that next level DopeCoin needs to now get media attention. I have some other ideas in the pipeline that I will wait on to see what develops and at this point in time can only officially say that I will be heading to Canada.
I have some number crunching and analysis to do in order to determine the best use of my budget for advertising purposes.
Will there be media attention at the event yes, will they be covering the event as a whole rather than granting news coverage to individual coins? Likely.
The connections that would be made and the experience itself would be incredible and something I would love to take part in. However I must always look at DopeCoin as a business and make sure I take the proper steps to be as effective as possible.
In fewer words.... I'm not sure yet lol.
