Whenever I realize that the bitcoin price has reached to its top and from there now a decline is expected so in such cases I try my best to sell most  of the bitcoin I have. Because I am always expecting that very soon I will get an opportunity to trading  bitcoin again in a good price.

Why would anyone want to sell any bitcoins unless they had to?

To spend them on something with a lower return? Or even worse, waste them on buying fiat currencies to keep in a bank?

Sure, when you're rich enough buy a few toys or other luxuries, by all means spend a few coins and have some fun but keep the bulk of your holdings in Bitcoin.

it depends on which price i bought my coins. if i think enough for me to earn profit from it i will sell and buy another potential coin that will give me more profit to invest. but i will not be greedy, i have learned from my past experience waiting the highest price to sell but it never happened and now the price are back to fall, all i have to do is waiting and holding my coins for long term period.

Many people are waiting for the market recovery to sell their coins but I bet you,as soon as market recovers ,they will feel reluctant to sell.

I will  sell  the portion which i considered  a profit, but my capital will be left, or  I will  buy another coins which I think more profitable,in preparation for the future undertaking like trading.

I do not think that I am going to sell my bitcoin in near future. I do not think that the price is going to increase too much in next few months. Therefore I have to wait for some time, may be for a year or two and after that if the price will increase too much think I will think about that either I have to sell or wait more.

I will keep some coins for some more time for I want to get additional profit if there is further increase occurring in price. selling of coins in higher market on high price is the success and even it starts when you are on the way and you cross the 15k dollar price that is the bull run reflecting the clearly. Wise investors apply these rules and strategies for they want to enjoy in the crypto world and these all are necessary here.

yes, agree. my thoughts and goals in crypto trading are like you. therefore, I would not sell all of my coins, only about 25% that will I sell.

It depends on your own strategy about selling. If you invest in the past and for real times price is suitable for you to sell you can do it. Selling is good if you really get profit from it, but if sell in panic you will lose your money.

Yes, Right now I really need money, to pay off my debts. I hope in the near future the price of coins goes up, and I will sell my coins to get the money, and I will pay the money to pay off my debt in the Bank that is almost due! but after that, I will still collect Criptocurrency coins again, to continue to add to my treasure coffers

Good question thanks for the OP. Unfortunately, many investors and traders have do idea about how and when sell their investments. Selling is depended to your own mind, if you have a patient spirit I would recommend to buy or sell the investments for long term and avoid emotional actions. Regarding to the question OP asked, The best thing you can do in a bulling market is to use a proper strategy, like stairs plan, when the price is at 20K you can sell 1/5 of the investments and if you saw the market at 21K you can sell another share of 1/5 (It's just an example). according to what I saw in the BTC markets people are unfortunately very emotional and they sell/buy all the investments after a huge sharp movement of the price.

I never sell all my coins, no matter how high the price is. That is simply my policy, I always keep something in my wallet.
But I also believe that Bitcoin is made to have some real use in real world so why not exchanging it to fiat if that is needed or to buy some goods and services for it. However, I don't expect some big price rise coming that would be worth exchanging a big amount of Bitcoins.

I also will not sell it if the conditions are not so good for selling assets. the bull run is not the only reason for us to sell the coins we have. we all have goals, so I think if the conditions are not urgent, I will still pay attention to developments and not sell them if I don't feel that it's necessary.

Selling at ATH looks like a decent plan to me, of course two questions are worth answering:

• Is the new ATH (compared to 2017 bull run, I suppose), ever going to be met again?
• Would be converting your shitcoin to Bitcoin and then waiting fo an ATH more profitable?

All these problems wouldn't need any answer if you had been sensible enough not to goof around with shitcoins.

Thats your typical small 'investor' or speculator in every market mainstream or crypto and its all the same because people are driven in the same way vs prices and news flow.  Hence the overall market is a natural phenomena and can be predicted.   The reason being the common factor is emotional guidance in decisions rather then something independent that gives a system to buy and sell.    The ideal or the closest an average punter will achieve is to buy into a lull or anticipated low in the price and scale out during hype or rapid steep gradient BTC events.    
   Dont ever imagine you can capture the absolute low or be a seller at the highest prices, these are most often sharp brief prices and dont always have the most volume.   Usually after the low or peak there will be a confirmation or retest of that price and thats when its reasonable to aim to capture a price to sell or buy at.

To answer the OP I would never sell all BTC because the market overall has such growth that it reoccurs over years even if we peak in 2020 or next year it'll still continue as  a sector in growth for years.    If I change my mind on that then I might try to guess and sell all along the way but otherwise I believe that to be the wrong decision.   In general I just hope to lean more on the buys while we are quiet and relatively low, then lean into selling a bit more while we rise.   I dont have the confidence to think I know the future top price and in any case I have needs elsewhere and its fair to just use BTC like it supposed to be used in transactions and payments.   I hope we never stop using BTC to be secure online basically, thats its unique strength and reason to grow.
