BLACK COIN

Indirect mining, no more coins flooding the market. Solid choice. Great hybrid POW/POS coin, great community.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

If Mazacoin is legit, and will be used by the lakota nation as a currency, casinos and all, then Mazacoin will take off like a rocket. The implications of it being the first legitimate legal currency will be earth shaking.

Not a 50% premined coin. Lakota are wards of the state. Shameful really. The only 'country coin' I would buy. Payu Harris is also a better rep than someone that won't use their real Bitcointalk.org alias. Mazatalk.com is the real website for it now, I believe.

Nobody knows the answer so any response here is pure BS!

Research into the subject and getting in contact with devs helps. Honest ones I find answer, more often, scammers don't care enough to bother. It is all still speculation, but the worst tactic is merely following charts and not understanding the coins or the people behind them. Of course that you can call BS as well, but I imagine doing the work brings better results than not doing it.

NXT (in it for the long haul) Might be the most active community I've come across. Many individuals are working on clients and side projects. The new thing seems to be mining and dumping profits directly to NXT. I'm not a miner, but this I like  Shocked

Time will tell with NEM, Distribution looks to be better than NXT. Idea is nice but its just doesn't have that ring to it.  Roll Eyes

BlackCoin has my vote. Scarce ATM and good PoW/PoS transition.

VertCoin certainly looks promising with ASICs on the market soon. Many people think ASICs will ruin crypto. I tend to have my superstitions as well. Vert and adaptive/resistant forks are looking to be a very promising for maintaining stability and scarcity.

Look into Invicitus Innovations... great team working on DACs and multicurrency wallets. Holding PTS gets you a proportional share in future releases from the company. Active forum with continuous updates from the Devs.

I've been interested in DRK but as mentioned earlier it seems they are having trouble with anonymity...(which seems to be the main advantage), suggesting to me they will be looking at some sort of fork in the future to implement this promise. I have a question for all you DarkCoin advocates: With all the alternating algorithms implemented what kind of power consumption are we looking at?

Points of interest for me: Scarcity, Energy Efficiency, Security,

Glad this topic was started. Reading all your responses and composing my own has really make me rethink where my money is

I like:
LTC
Mintcoin and ECCcoin
Hirocoin and Darkcoin
Believe BTC still has potential
Digitalcoin
Noblecoin
Maxcoin
Vertcoin
TIPS
Reddcoin

All coins listed above are either already popular, or have a sound theory, good community, and good devs which will lead to skyrocket in price IMO.

FTC is near record lows.
This time it might go much lower?

I'll toss Pesetacoin into the ring for my best guess. Many people heard about Spaincoin, one of the first copy-cat coins after Auroracoin. But Pesetacoin strikes me as more of an authentic effort to develop a Spanish-oriented coin, and the devs have been steadily making progress with some good tools for it. It's not a pre-mine distribute-to-the-masses coin, just one of the coins trying to build a natural community through its identity. I suspect hurried efforts like Spaincoin will dwindle and die out, whereas Pesetacoin and others like it will gain a real following and could become major currencies in their own right down the line.
