Didnt received that kind of email. And thanks for the information. People nowadays (those scammer) are really have a lot of resources just to scam other people. This is very alarming due to the massive effect of to the bitcoin community. They assume if they have a lot of bitcoun they are going to be rich. But they didnt think of the possible outcome of it. Like as of now, bitcoin is slowley declining its price. So no one really a sure winner.
They are really very resourceful and sometimes I think that this scammers are really that intelligent but unfortunately they chooses to used that God given talent to commit crimes. Because they know how to exploit the weaknesses of most individuals that most of the time they give in and paid those ransoms. I don't know, but if I got that kind of email, I would simply ignore it because I know that I'm not browsing porn sites, LOL, and I'm very careful as to what webpages I'm going through. Just stay safe though, maybe they will pull another variants of that scam and hope that you no one will feel for those scammers/extortionist.

Personally, I get many spam messages every day and sometimes by mistake open some of them. Thanks for concerning us your views. Really nowadays there are many hackers who are ready with a various amount of resources and items with which they can easily hack you. We all need to be very concern as BTC is hotcake and the computer can be hacked any time.

wow is that real? I think we should make our computer is more secure by using an antivirus and malware security, but how the hackers get the administrator permission? is it hard to get administrator permission from the internet?

I received dozens of emails that were clearly fraudulent, but I ignored them. I'm sure they'll get tired of themselves. Ha ha it would be so great but I doubt it, as long as there are people who still fall victim. Unfortunately it requires only a few victims to render the whole scheme (and millions of sent out emails) worthwhile.

Also when doing 'important' transactions 'especially wireless' you should be running a VPN. I like ExperessVPN. This is yet another layer of protection. I run Kaspersky which has a nice anti-keylogger and Malwarebytes.

I feel like the average user who uses computer everyday for various things, should be able to know better than falling to these easy tricks that hackers use these days, if you really know what you are doing and you don't click suspicious sites.

I can’t believe people still fall on this. If you own cryptos you obviously have same basic knowledge so you should know better.

It’s very helpful when scamming-victims are posting about their experiences through this forum. Thank you for sharing what happened to you. Anyway, let’s all be careful next time and think thrice about these things. Try to observe and reaearch first if possible.

Yes people do fall victims of all kinds of spams all the time and this is why I posted (to be exact, I was a victim of a spam attempt, not of a spam, luckily). (...) I invested in one ICO and scammers tried to deceive me so many times. They are not very smart btw When payouts started, they even sent token holders the emails where "real investors" told that they are disappointed with this ICO and recommended another one, which turned out to be scam. Be careful, guys!
