I agree. Most of the FOMO generated during every climb is attributed to the internet and news outlets sensationalizing the massive price rise. Without these knowledge and reports, it wouldn't even be possible to reach where we are right now. Word about bitcoin spread through a forum and the ones who read about it shared it to their friends who found that the project is legitimately interesting, up until the point that the word of mouth transmission increased, shared, and most people got the hook of bitcoin.

I agree with the author's subject thread which has a positive effect especially to the Newbies out there that really lack the knowledge about bitcoin. With the guidance on some of the older members in this forum, they can share some good insights that could be helpful to the new members. The only thing I can only share is that do not let your emotion thrive when making a decision especially during bear market where most of the people will panic sell their coins instead of holding their coins.

I came across a quote made by someone on this forum which goes like,'An open mind is one of the best assets when it come to cryptocurrency'.
 This quote got me thinking, to make bitcoin (cryptocurrency) grow everyday in relation to clearing all misconceptions people have, we need to share our little knowledge about bitcoin on this forum. Sharing of  knowledge will create an atmosphere for people to be open minded and also help newbie investors to understand the crypto world and the market. I realized there is quite a great number of very helpful people and resources on this forum.
 What do you guys think? Do you agree with me?

Yes, this kind of act is the most important today in our world because it will helps us a lot and it will benefits a lot of people especially for those beginners who are really interested on pursuing their interest in bitcoin also it will help those people who think bitcoin is an illegal doing, it may be the key to open their mind from fake understanding.

As of now, not really 100% of us understand bitcoin. We keep doubting it everyday while instead we should support it and bring more people in.

This is bitcointalk forum and as usual how does a forum works? it's also about sharing not only little knowledge but even the deeper ones that are interested of knowing. From blockchain, trading, mining, services and other stuffs that you can excel are being shared here and it's for free. This is why this is the best forum of all and although some same forum are existing and  building their community, no forum can beat bitcointalk. But also someone who's skeptic can also share his thoughts here that can bring FUD to some.

Bitcoin became more popular because of us, because of our testament regarding on the huge potential of bitcoin that help it to become more attractive to the people. And that's what also this forum serve like and that's why this forum was made up and that was to serve as the main forum for sharing ideas and knowledge.

You call it "shared knowledge" and I call it "Word of Mouth".  We rely strongly on people to get the truth/facts out there, because Bitcoin is being attacked from all sides. <Bank Shills / Other Alt coin competitors / Goldbugs / Silver Shills....etc.>

Just make sure you educate yourself, before you take on these guys/gals, because they come prepared with their attacks. If you have done proper research, then you can kill most of their silly arguments/lies.

sharing of knowledge really is impotant. But people also need to be willing to listen to people who have something to say, instead of speaking if they have nothing to say at all

People should really be open minded, and grab every opportunity but of course with caution. A lot of helpful topics in this forum that can improve our knowledge about cryptocurreny but we must continue to share our knowledge outside this forum. I totally agree with this quote because everyday is an opportunity to earn knowledge with bitcoin. Well it's not just about the money that you need to earn but most importantly you need to gain information and ideas. It's good to know that every moment you spent with bitcoin it's all worth it that you are gaining something.

I think it is the actual goal of this forum. To share knowledge regarding Bitcoin, blockchain and cryptocurrencies. But as time passes, people who are here now have different reasons. Either they're curious about Bitcoin or someone told them that there's money flowing here. Now this place is more populated by the latter. Thats one of the main purpose why this community is created, sharing knowledge while earning profits. Sadly, there are also those users who spread false idea, knowledge, and are purpose is to take advantage by the new comer's weakness. Now, our homework has been added some weight since we need to learn how to distinguish good ideas from bad. Thats why I also agree with the OP about having an open mind towards the possibility not only with the success but as well as failure.

There is a famous quote by Walter Kotschnig that goes like this: "Let us keep our minds open by all means, as long as that means keeping our sense of perspective and seeking an understanding of the forces which mould the world. There is also an excellent quote by G.K. Chesterton that is pretty similar: “But I think he thought that the object of opening the mind is simply opening the mind. I believe the ultimate object here is to be open-minded enough to be able to accept where you are wrong and need to grow., and closed-minded enough when you realize you have the truth and those opposed to you/your beliefs are neck-deep in lies and deceit. This is applicable, not only to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency, but across all spheres of life.

Obviously here on BCT, we are all focused in the crypto-realm, where we see people looking in from the outside with constant criticism (cue Jamie Dimon). What we are looking for from them is an open mind to acknowledge the truth that blockchain technology has something to add to and benefit the real world.

However, there is a lot of negative opinions and spite directed towards cryptocurrency, as we see people like Dimon are often blinded by their own greed and ambitions. But as blockchain continues to grow and develop, and as more and more people join communities like BCT, we will see more and more people realize the truth, and we've even seen Dimon execute somewhat of a reversal as JP Morgan has been getting more and more into crypto and the blockchain.

There's one of the things that I loved before the most for, it is the flexibility and vast world of opportunities that it provides. So I can totally agree with you that we are sharing knowledge about bitcoin and it cause it to develop more.
