Doesn't change anything I don't think so. You want to get paid in crypto, get paid in crypto. Let's see if any state can stop you. Legal is not something that makes it possible to happen. Legal just means there are finally grounds for the govt to tax you, for your crypto, and well okay, more centralized exchanges can open and take your business away from p2p.

First thing government need to survey that how many employees are happy with the decision of their use of bitcoin as salary mode? I mean its all right if al of them are happy with it but what if not everyone is willing to accept bitcoin. Its not sarcasm of some sort because there are many people who still dont want to accept the reality of bitcoin existence.

The volatility could be disturbing factor here. I mean every month end when it will come to paying the salaries then USD values would be different. Can be messy.

Will it be trend? : Anything that comes out as brand new stuff becomes the trend. Eventually people get bored of it. Then they go for new ways. Its just the cycle.

I see that today a lot of good news about the crypto world. if I look at the geographical condition, Costa Rica is a small country, and there are still many poor people. but Costa Rica is also the happiest country.

I see that Costa Rica will be a country like Venezuela, if Venezuela has crypto that backed by state oil, but in Costa Rica there is no oil, and they use electricity by utilizing renewable natural resources.

so, it seems slowly, Costa Rican society will adapt to crypto, and will last for a long time.

If I understand this correctly, they are saying that these workers can chose to accept a option where they receive a portion of their salary in Bitcoin, which is a good thing for those people who converts some of their salary into Bitcoin, every month.

The employees do not have to pay exchange fees to get the money converted and they have a portion of their salary in a currency/commodity that are a store of value.

How will Govt tax them. Lets say that they are paid in Bitcoins every month, what is price of Bitcoin declined near the time when they have to pay taxes?

Giving salaries in crypto makes matters more complex and doesn't achieve anything. Considering volatility of this market, workers may incur losses due to it and  then they'll stop accepting crypto as their salaries. Instead of giving salaries in crypto, people should be educated about crypto industry and technology.

So, I think this trend won't last long because Bitcoin can't replace fiat as long as whales are there, and hence, high volatility is there.

This is a good news to be spread,  Costa Rica are now  adopt and legalized bitcoin as their way of payment in the salary of their employee's, this is mean's that bitcoin is qualified as a new digital money currency. And I think the other country's are followed also about this development.

Another good news in field of crypto currency, im still looking for this news long time ago, and guest that its impossible to implement, but look at what they have done,  costa rica recognize bitcoin, and i hope that there are more company follow this method to pay their workers, i think this would last for long because bitcoin is a long term program.

All over the world cryptos are getting accepted because their governments are thinking about their people. Whereas, some countries have taken very rigid stand of not legalizing cryptocurrency because they cannot get tax from that. Depending on whether the person accepts it. We know that the price of bitcoin is volitile and it may affect them especially where they rely on their needs everyday. So I think it will not last long because it's a problem.
