However I am not planning to buy a new altcoin in near future. I will most likely just trade my bitcoin to fiat when the price is high and buy it back at lower price.

I would choose to buy altcoins rather than fiat. I think this BTC rise is the start of a bull run that will draw in alts as well. And if alts rise against fiat, then it makes sense to buy alts.
