we dont buy fiat and i think buying is not the right term to be used for it but i think trade is more apropriate term  . we trade our btc for fiat if ever we see the price of btc rise but not all people will do that , only to those who are ineed of money or already earn alot of profit  .

trading btc to alts is not also price dependent because some will trade btc for alts anytime as long as they will need the alts for paying of for gambling  . i like to play gambling with doge coin so that should be the only alt that i trade with my btc .

I see no reason to sell BTC now, when its price is not high and halving should happen soon. Moreover, the popularity of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is constantly growing. Now is a good time to buy and increase the volumes of BTC and altcoins on your wallets, but you need to decide on the budget allocation in order to understand what percentage of BTC and what percentage of other coins you will have.

I see plenty of reasons to sell.

Just because people are Bitcoin believers and hodlers does not necessarily mean they never sell,,, for example if you mine bitcoin or you earn it, then all your income is in bitcoin. If you can pay directly for btc for bills and rent and food, great. But until today I have not found a supermarket accepting btc, or phone company doing that or landlord in my country taking btc.

Reality is you still need to sell btc for money in 90% of cases.

If I gained profit I definitely sell my bitcoins to buy stable coins like USDT not fiat, I always do that when I'm getting profit in trading. But when the time that I need money I will convert it into fiat.

If you have bitcoin,it is better to leave it,but if you do not have it and you do not know what to buy, then I would choose altcoins, as they have more growth prospects

I also often do this when making a large profit and holding Fiat is the final stage to know exactly your profit on investment. I think any investment will be very risky if you do not have the basic knowledge in this market. In fact, Bitcoin is the safest coin for people to invest and this investment always gives you good returns if you tend to hold for long.

indeed the price of bitcoin is very stable and often gives a very good surprise for a continuous increase but a situation like this that makes me confused to sell it and moreover to buy altcoin which is slow in price speculation conditions I often sell it to buy fiat until altcoin really recover I just bought Altcoin.

Bitcoin can bring a good amount of profits when you already knows how to deal with this coin correctly, why bothered to sell your bitcoin and buy alts when the market situations is like this, there's no good market movement from alts industry so instead trying your luck buying another coin to hold, better to keep your bitcoin and study how to trade properly, by holding, your chance to see increase in fiat value is possible all you need to do is to wait.

You'll usually make lost if you let the Bitcoin market downtrends make you panic sell your holding or investment for altcoin which literally follow the price momentum of Bitcoin market and in the downtrend situations of bitcoin what you ought to do is accumulate more of it.
Mind you, altcoin market are highly manipulated and Bitcoin halving is coming.

We would come to the point when BTC dominance will decrease, but the only question is when. I doubt that after Bakkt launch, BTC volumes would go down, so I agree that right now it is better to hold BTC for some more time.

So far, Bitcoin remains the most profitable cryptocurrency asset for investing. And even if other cryptocurrencies begin to grow, Bitcoin will not lose its popularity and, accordingly, the price. So it’s definitely not worth fixing in fiat.

Buy fiat and altcoins if bitcoin is at its highest price. Some people think bitcoin has a low price and some think that its price is high. Nobody can really tell you what to do with your money. Do your own analyze of the current trend for bitcoin.

It was not the best choice to do back in 2018, because as we all know BTC is the only coin that increased its price science the beginning of this year. I am still not sure, if it is worth it to invest in altcoins right now, or to stay with BTC.

I won't buy altcoins if price of bitcoin soars. It is because altcoin season has not started yet. At present, price of altcoins does not rise as compared to bitcoin. And when price of bitcoin decreases, price of altcoins declines at double rate. Rather I would buy stable coin and buy bitcoin again when its price declines.

On the off chance that you sell Bitcoin for fiat now, you will lose. It will be smarter to discover a trade with the best rates and sell BTC there to get altcoins. I would pick Gladius, IOTA, OmiseGO, Qtum, and Komodo

I would sell some altcoins only as sooner or later, they will vanish. I am sure that Dash and Monero will survive. Ethereum might stay the second cryptocurrency in the rating for years. Bitcoin has more chances to go up than go down. Therefore there is no need to sell it to get fiat. Some BTC (or Satoshi, it depends on the amount you have) can be exchanged for the best altcoins.

If you're not afraid of taking risk, do those possible things that you think good for your asset. But if you think bitcoin will be more efficient than the other coins, then pursue that expectations. As of this moment bitcoin and eth remained a strong foundation of cryptocurrency, yet price didn't fall so bad compared with other coins.
There are more cryptocurrencies that have grown big in percentage compared to bitcoin, but it is very hard to find. Another thing, those are highly luck dependent because among the entire list of cryptocurrency only the lucky ones get to invest and get back the profit. I came across a person buying a token for $0.1 and selling for $4 within few weeks time.

I'm not really sure about altcoin, but I still have it. because this is an alternative coin for the crypto community. I dare to sell all of my alt in exchange for BTC, because alt has largely lost its price. but don't push too much. because we cannot be carried away by lust

This is what I'm doing every day in this market because we're still in the bear market and any investment can put you at a great risk. I only trade BTC because this coin always helps me earn a good profit from and never made me lose money because I have very good analytical knowledge in this market. Sometimes I also have some psychological problems and that is the time when I will have a lot of difficulties trading so I only invest in BTC this year.

I made a choice on altcoins since they are now in drawdown and I actively buy them, I also want to buy BTZC token on IEO Probite
This is a rather risky position in the cryptocurrency market. But the profit can be expected quite high, I think that 500-1000%, this already seems to be a reality for the next year.

I would not be in a hurry to sell bitcoin, since we predict that there will be growth by the end of the year. Then you can sell to buy fiat, and buy Bitcoin again on the correction. Here is my strategy.

This topic belongs to 2018. Anybody who sold for fiat then won, anybody who invested in altcoins or hodled them lost.

That being said, I think these days are probably good days to start investing in crypto again (specially altcoins).
