Seeking reporter badge images

I don't think any member was awarded with this great new badges because I am eligible for the 1000+ reports badge and didn't receive any as you see.

This topic is about to gather as much idea for the badge as possible, so you won't find any badge for reporting yet...
As soon as the badge itself will be choosen and developed, we will have a new topic in Meta about it, I'm sure.
Until then, we can only continue to think about the possible icons for it

I'm wayyyy late to the party but this would be great. A little recognition can go a long way and it can only lead to more posts being reported and less spam. I'm glad to see more and more initiatives coming out these past months.

Currently sitting at 751 good reports. I guess I'd better go hunt some shitposters

I don't theymos is planning to include bad or unhanded reports in the badge calculation. From OP:

Actually the party is just about to start as Admin theymos is still not releasing any updates about the badges. It's been weeks already but seems like Admin is terribly busy at some business IRL these days or he's working on the badges. Well either way, let's just wait for his update. Just keep in touch so you won't be late

I can't really imagine anyone having more than 50% bad reports. If that happens after badges are created, I assume other action will be taken against the report spammer.

I can't also imagine if someone's having over 50% of bad reports. That's a horrible way of reporting if that happens. Well if this happens after the implementation of the badges, its too obvious that the reason is they're just trying to report just to get the badges without even thinking if the post/thread they are reporting were really deserves to be reported to Moderators which will be another problem for Moderators as it will be a tons of work to do.

Anyway, I still believe that our Moderators can handle it.

I'll probably add it next week sometime.

I do not like these very much, not because they are ugly for themselves but rather because according to my point of view they are not very practical.
I struggle to see the difference in color from a distance of one meter from my computer monitor.

It's been over a month now and still there are no selection or implementation of the feature!

You should wait patiently.
If something is really important, it can be done in a few hours/days here.
This is a kind of nice to have thing, so you can't be sure where it is on the priority list now.

Yeah, I think good reports will only be taken into consideration. Otherwise people wouldn't care what they reported good or bad as long as it counted towards their badge.

I would much rather more mods be added (or current ones promoted to dedicated sub mods), and more importantly signatures removed from Newbs and Juniors and/or a merit requirement added for the latter.

It's rare that theymos actually commits a deadline or time-frame to such things and this is probably why. I've asked him a couple of times over the years for a rough estimate of when the forum will be ready and never received a response. I would still like to know if it's something that will or won't be out this year, or even a 'maybe' or 'no' to next year, but again, he'd probably rather just not commit to saying something if he can help it because people will just hold him to it if that time passes. Would be nice to get a rough percentage of how finished it is from him though.

Still, I would much rather him spend his time on either coding the forum or implementing some of the other things that will benefit this forum and make it a better place rather than just adding some superficial badges.

How did he ask you by mistake? The forum could do with some extra mods or patrollers at least and if someone has reported thousands upon of thousands of posts then they will likely be beneficial to the forum (unless theymos knows something about them that I don't). All you can do is keep reporting and maybe one day you will become a chosen one.

I think that there should be a badge against the Top topic starter for each board as well as the badge for the reporter.
It seems that various opinions will come out more.
