Recently I have observed that for every pump or increase in price of bitcoin, there is no corresponding increase in the price of altcoins

because there is a corresponding drop in price of altcoins instead.

Even though this causes a lot of people to worry, it is best as it prepares altcoins for self dependence and it also limits manipulation of altcoins

not at all. the manipulation in altcoins exists because of a couple of important reasons
- the altcoin market is very small and it is always super easy to manipulate a small market than a big market.
- the supplies of these coins are usually in control of one person (eg. the dev who premined it) and they gain a lot of control and money over time that can manipulate the price with
- the pumpers are always present in altcoins and want to make money
- the true purpose of altcoins is to get pumped and dumped and this process is what gives people profit and everyone wants that. they don't want manipulations to go away because it is their bread and butter.

The only explanation why many altcoins is not pumping in price when bitcoin is pumping is because the market is still saturated and the market is only circulating the money into bitcoin. But I think it is good since it many altcoin will be in a good prices where new investors can pt their money into and right now many altcoin are readying themselves for the bull market to come with BTC leading the way.

This time the situation is a little bit different. People selling their alts to buy bitcoin because SEC will decide about BTC ETF soon. I think if they accept ETFs, the price of bitcoin will go to the moon while alts bleeding if they reject again ETF the price of every coin and token will go to the hell.

Yes i agree to you also. If it happen in our market it will be a great scenario... Especially if the price of bitcoin and altcoin didn't depends on each other.... This changes in price is the most common problem we encountered.. This really ruin our strategy and that's getting panic happened because of it...  But if the price of bitcoin and altcoin didn't affect each other well we can perform our greatest technique here...

We have seen Bitcoin at the peak $20,000 and now it's around at $8000. It's easy to understand why people panic because the price drop too much. To not panic, you must keep your head cold and have market research skills. I believe that the market will get recover soon.

Maybe because bitcoins price has not increased or decreased drasticaly thats why it doesnt affect the altcoins price. Maybe theres a certain margin that if hit, it triggers the value or maybe they are not that related at all. Altcoins are separate entity inspired by bitcoin anyway.

Actually there is a month ago. Altcoins are leaning in the price of Bitcoin. But now yes, as you have said there is no movement with the altcoins. I dont really know the reason behind all of this but there must be one.

I already thought that altcoins will be dependent with the bitcoin price but it looks like it isn't. It is somehow a good thing for me cause I want to see independence with every altcoin market.

i do observed the same thing but somehow, it would be in favor so some altcoins since its market value will not be pulled down by Bitcoin's market volatility.  We should not panic just because of such change that won't affect the majority of the cryptoworld. What we should focus more is holding on to the coins that we have invested.

You are right on that, that bitcoin and altcoins are not dependent on each other. Now I see that BTC increase its value while ETH decreases.

For traders like me, it is not good when BTC increases while your portfolio is all turning reds. (for my own opinion only)

The current situation in the cryptocurrency market made some altcoins dependent on the price of BTC. This is probably due to some countries who has BTC as the entry point in cryptocurrencies. Once those altcoins with project to convert fiat directly to other coins have risen, that could make it independent on BTC price.

It's because people are investing into btc. also some people are selling altcoin for btc and holding those. that's the real problem actually.

I see when bitcoin increases, people will sell altcoin in exchange for bitcoin, then the price of altcoin decreased. Only when the market is more capital will have the same price increase
