I have noticed it when actually the bitcoin price is rising up the cryptomarket also will. Is that because of bitcoin is directly proportional to the other cryptocurrency? so that when bitcoin dumped the other crypto also will dump? Whats your opinion about it?
That is not true when bitcoin raise in $ alternative coins have two scenarios (decrease in bitcoin , bumped in $ ) .
So better to stick with the king only (bitcoin) only for awhile regardless to altcoins theory and technologies .
In that way, you need to study first which altcoins you want to invest. Very simple question, the main coin is bitcoin and that's the reason why it is called altcoins because it is an alternate coin of bitcoin so, therefore, they are based on bitcoin price they'd follow the price movement of bitcoin those coins that bitcoin base.

no, you have noticed it wrong. in fact quite the opposite is true meaning when bitcoin price rises up (specially during fast rises where price goes up a lot) altcoins drop the hardest.

but of course since they are all being traded mainly with bitcoin when bitcoin goes up they show signs of rise in their USD value but in reality they are declining harder against BTC.
for example bitcoin goes up 10%, altcoins drop against bitcoin but it won't be as big and since they are against BTC their USD price rises 3% so you think they have risen.

There is a FOMO brewing...

This is a regularity, and all because bitcoin is not backed up, so it grows only on the opinion of people about it, if it is bought, then the price will increase.

true, bitcoin is the main trade crypto.
Big investors obviously prefer bitcoin over altcoin, and the bitcoin that sets the market price of all altcoins follows the ups and downs of bitcoin prices.
bitcoin affects the market.

Bitcoin prices are lower in the exchange market and moreover, the effect is on other currencies. Bitcoin has a relationship between the other cryptos of the market. Because people buy Bitcoin by selling all types of crypto. Bitcoin works as king in the online crypto market.
So when the bitcoin price rise up, the price of other currencies is higher.

Most of the time when bitcoins price increases, the market increase also because most of the investors are hodling more on bitcoin than any other coins so thats why it pulls the market wherever its path is. It has a major impact and mostly on the alternate coins as well and sometimes pulls them too but if it increases way more, the altcoins price goes the opposite way then.

Your observation is quite accurate, there is some fairly simple reasoning about it. One of them obviously being that Bitcoin has the largest Market cap, further investors see Bitcoin as the face of cryptocurrency, so when they expect a bull run for Bitcoin, they start pumping capital into other Altcoins in the hope that they will rise with it. Hence leading to an overall rise in the market.

I believe no, because the case is not the same this time if we compare it to the 2017 picture. Those times we're great to make a living through trading even the most shitty coins which were so overvalued just to make more and more BTC to whales that was being shifted by noobs in their hands. This time is a lot different, because even if BTC rises and alts show some greens in the field, that doesn't mean that alts will really do great but worsen it for everyone out there once ETF gets accepted as Bitcoin will then be supreme enough to kill all bs coins and let only those remain which have sound projects with something related to blockchain, something that really needs blockchain.

There is no true relation between the two coins. Both of them are different and behave differently and according to the way their projects are getting invested. If somehow we see similar graphs and hike everywhere then it is not the bitcoin but it is the whole market that changes according to its volume. There is individual volume as well as total market volume which decides the ultimate fate of the coin whether it will rise up or go down. From my perspective there are rare cases when they act proportional way or with such a factor.

Actually as we can see now bitcoin has been growing for the last several days but there is no influence on the altcoins because the nearly all altcoins are in stagnation so far. Well, it means that now we should distinguish the growth of bitcoin from the growth of the whole crypto market and this distinguish has become quite sufficient especially if we have a look at the spread between BTC and ETH (in percentages)

Definetly you are right, they are both directly proportional to each other, because once the bitcoin is growing   in the market  everthings about in the crypto would be affected and become  healthy, but once the bitcoin price is going down everything would become affected and they carried away to dump, thats why i've been thinkings thats bitcoin is  the mainsource of all cryptocurrency, because everything will depend on its weight.

For now, there is a weak correlation between bitcoin price and all the other altcoins.Fresh money coming into the market are going to bitcoins, increasing it dominance.

In my opinion maybe because bitcoin is part of the market so, if bitcoin is demand the market will rise, bitcoin is not always demand but there will be a long time that bitcoin will rise.

Yes. because a lot of altcoins now are depending in the price of bitcoin because most of all investments they have is pay with bitcoin and eth so if bitcoin will dump the prices of all crypto in any exchanges site will dump also.

The reason that all coins is relying to bitcoin price that's why when bitcoin is rising all crypto coin will be follow to rise but if the bitcoin is down crypto coin also will be down the price. Bitcoin is a main coin of all coin in market.

This follow up is because of the activities of the investors that get changed while the market recovers for the bitcoin. Many times they follow bitcoin because they are thought to hike in similar % share and thus its worth investing into them for that reasons. Investors do this as security and thus in the process they keep pouring lot of money into the altcoins market economy and the net effect is increased prices for it. I guess it is pretty much normal that alts sometime follow them but in many instances they coddle do the just the opposite too.  Wink

So people sell their coin altcoins to move to BTC and this will push up the value of the BTC while other coins are showing signs of going down.

Yes, when bitcoin price value soars high, definitely altcoins will usually follow the trend because btc and altcoins are very much correlated with each other. For some investors, they sold their altcoins and bought btc because it had made a further growth from 6.5KUSD and now at 7.9K USD which has a very high increase within less than a month.
