Yes it seems that the market has no independent price value and only depends on one crypto currency the origin of all digital currency and that is bitcoin. Whenever btc price crash or fluctuate's other crypto's also go in a downtrend even with technical and fundemental analysis you cant predict what's gonna happen. The only way to never lose in crypto is to look at bitcoin's price charts cause it's interconnected with all alts.

Altcoins can move independently from bitcoin but we cannot deny that there is a very big dependence on bitcoin and it is easy to see why, most coins are based on the blockchain created for the first time by satoshi and used in bitcoin, since those coins are basically using the same design of bitcoin then it makes sense that they move as bitcoin does.

May be chances are that if bitcoin pricier will increase then prices of the altcoins get dump , because people will move toward the bitcoin by selling Thier alts .
Secondly if people comes in full negativity then surely they will sell Thier alts as well as bitcoin and that will result in to whole market dump .
Third case is usual , if in any case where no any negative news is running , then if bitcoin's procurement get dumped then prices of altcoins will get increase.

Your statement is true but not always. Currently we see bitcoin is rising but all the altcoins are bleeding. The key here is to look for bitcoin dominance. If the BTC Dominance increases then altcoin will not increase in value.
