Yes ... I ran into a problem on my laptop ...
On the disk, the place became permanently clogged ... I thought for a long time what it could be. And the memory was spent so quickly that 40 gigabytes of free space could be lost in a day ...
In the end it turned out that these are miner viruses that actively exploited the hardware of my laptop ... it was unpleasant.

I got the same opinion from the majority of the people in this thread , I think laptop wasn't ready to be used for mining, laptop was created to become efficient for outdoor purpose, mining is a heavy job, its going to exhaust your laptop and the earning from the mining won't be enough to cover the electricity and the maintenance of the laptop

Because it requires a lot of power and electrical resources are not small, the process of mining (mining) cryptocurrency is usually done with a special computer. Can be a desktop that is fitted with many graphics cards to server farm.

But lately emerged an alternative form of software that allows users with laptops or regular computers to participate in mining without needing to spend to buy expensive devices.

The Honeyminer startup software runs dynamic mining by combining the user's computer into a pool of thousands of other computers. Each computer contributes power to the cryptocurrency mining process.

The "power" donated comes from the computer GPU. If it is not in use, then the computer GPU will be used to participate in processing the mining process together with GPU kompter-other computers incorporated in the pool Honeyminer.

Thus, while the GPU capability of a computer may be small, the combined power of thousands of GPUs can generate significant resources for this collective mining process.
You could actually mine using your laptop back in 2009-2010/11 but then difficulty levels started raising, and so did the power consumption. Mining bitcoin is almost useless you own a huge fucking rig. A mere software won't make things easier, although there are now cloud based GPUs like GeForce Now, but that is not worth it. And this honeyminer is just like cloud mining ponzi scheme from the looks of it, I wouldn't use it nor would a sane person.

Gaming laptops are the most common today in mining bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies. But I don't think it is quite profitable. It is far better to get the correct hardwares.

While it can be done it isn't a great idea as they don't have the capacity as running a laptop flat out for long periods will cause it to overheat and lead to premature failure. Running it as part of a pool may reduce the load but I doubt by much.

I think that is not a good idea. Ordinary laptops is not design for mining. It could burn the board or lessen the life of the laptop also the cooling system will be the problem. Mining for now difficulty is for a high end hardware and never for a regular laptop Grin.

Well, in my own opinion even though it talks about ordinary or high class laptop it is just the same of consuming electricity unlike a desktop or a computer it only consumes a small amount of electricity. In addition also the profit that you can get in mining is not enough  to pay your electricity expense.

Yes you can do that but you can't make money with it. If you mine with your laptop you can make 1 bitcoin in 150000 years i think Smiley Go and collect bitcoin from faucets, that would makes better results.. If you want to make bitcoin or cryptos you have to be a bounty hunter. It is the best way to earn today..

Yes you can as long as your laptop works.More importantly is that your internet commection is good and you have your available time to do it.Many people are mining bitcoins also inany computer shops.

Think of hashing as lottery tickets. The more robust your hardware the more lottery tickets you get.  So you can play the lottery by buying one ticket, but your chances are very small compared with someone who's mine effectively produces hundreds of tickets a day. Bigger mine, greater odds.

Although it can be mining bitcoin I'm sure you will never get a profit though. I've done that before, and make the laptop that I always use is badly damaged and I will never again do that. Mining bitcoin is very hard to do now using latpop or pc factory settings, you need a pc or laptop assemblies that support for mining.

Even smartphones or laptops can mine bitcoin or whatever it is.. but the important is I eager to learn more better in mining. Bitcoin mining is a key part of the security of the Bitcoin system. The idea is that Bitcoin miners group a bunch of Bitcoin transactions into a block, then repeatedly perform a cryptographic operation called hashing zillions of times until someone finds a special extremely rare hash value.

Stop spreading rumour! The mining difficulty is so high, that a normal computer won't be able to handle it even after connecting to the biggest pool mining on earth. Also you will end up destroying your computer/laptop in thr process!

The need for specialized mining rigs is unquestionable and then also you will have to join a pool to remain profitable. In a nutshell, solo mining is not at all profitable now. You may try your luck in some shitcoins though!

Truly, with advancement in mining processes, nearly any device that could do calculations can be used for mining. But as many asserted, is it worth it?

There was this one study i came across with wherein they setup a a good configuration laptop with nicehash and let it run 24/7.  The good thing is that it did gained results, it actually mined. Great isn't it?

The sad part? The mining merely resulted in a 9 cents incentive a day.  Take that average for a year and you end up with around $328.50 in a year. I think that is very less for the price of the laptop and consumption of electricity.

I consulted with my friends. Almost everyone thinks that the laptop will be lost. Too much workload. We must calculate everything.

I think Bitcoin or altcoin mining using laptops is not a good idea because it will seriously damage laptop motherboards, the difficulty of bitcoin mining is very high and as we know that the power generated by the GPU is small, if used to mine bitcoin as said by combining much computing power computer, then the laptop will definitely be damaged and so this should not be finished.

Yes you can, but you'll lose a ton of money on electricity and you will also cause severe damage to your laptop.  BTC mining currently is extremely competitive. There are special microchips called ASICs(application-specific-integrated circuits) that are designed to mine bitcoin and nothing else. They are at least 100x better at mining bitcoin than even the best GPUs.

Yes, that's actually true.I agree with You.I'll start mining if there is a need. As long as there are large farms.Let them do the mining. Why should I kill my laptop when there is special equipment for mining.

I don't think to make my laptop  damaged for mining coins whatever that coins are. Because it will only give a little profit for mining with CPU especially laptops and we should use some powerful GPUs to mining a coin.

But if you mining it with regular computer, your rewards will be very little, although the pool rewards is big because it is spread to every pool participants.
Unless the bitcoin difficult go lower than the current, it will be hard to mine bitcoin and gain much coin.
