Hi, Just stopping by to say thanks for your work in the asic resistant equihash algorithm arena. And to thank you for posting in our thread as well. Please feel free to give any updates / suggestions as you think are needed. We have decided to add your miner to our ZhashOS Release 3. FYI, ZhashOS is a Power $aving Pendrive OS that also allows users to keep their Win10/7 intact. More info and download link in 1st post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4481713.msg40261859#msg40261859

Hi Overdrive5, thank you for leaving a message with such great news! miniZ supports descentralized mining and it is encouraging to know that it is valued within the community. We keep working to improve the miner and we will keep you informed about updates and any new releases.

Hi, Just thought you would like to know it does work with ZhashOS using Nvidia 348.111 driver.
Really like the UI report information. Sol rate was a little slower using the same O/C settings for EWBF.
I was seeing 35.5-36 Sol/s with 1070ti @ 104w, +240cc, +1290mc. I would normally see 36-42 Sol/s.
But I only ran it for a few minutes as it is late here.
I'll try to see if the app can allow a higher O/C bump tomorrow and let you know.
I think you are off to a really good start, but will need to get more optimization to be head on competitive.
Looking forward to your continued efforts!
Just wanted to give you a update on this post and to correct a error in it. I indicated that it worked with a 348.111 driver. I have now corrected that post to show it is the 384.111 driver that it works with. When I posted, it was late for me and I was pretty tired at the moment. My sincere apologies for taking so long in recognizing the error. I just discovered it now as I was viewing your website looking to see what version Cuda you are compiled with and noticed the 348.111 statement. I sincerely hope this error has not caused you or anyone any difficulties. From what I can see here, no one has mentioned anything about it and it is very unlikely anyone would be using a driver that old for mining anyway. So what version Cuda are you compiling with? I am in the process of compiling/testing both 390.87 & 410.73 drivers and I now am seeing a slight Sol rate increase between a competitor's cuda 8.0 and cuda 9.1 versions. So I wanted to let you know that if you are compiling with cuda 8.0, you may want to offer a cuda 9.1 or higher version as well. This may be a piece of the puzzle in improving your Sol rate even further. Hope this Helps

Hi Overdrive5, thank you for letting us know! As you wrote "no one has mentioned anything about it and it is very unlikely anyone would be using a driver that old for mining", so we do not think that caused any trouble. We corrected both the website ( https://miniz.ch/features-miniz-equihash-1445-miner/) and the post ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4767892.msg43081625#msg43081625) So what version Cuda are you compiling with?

Windows release is compiled with Cuda 9.1 already. Linux version is compiled with Cuda 8.0. We've tried Cuda 9.1 but did not see much difference, so for sake of compatibility with older systems we will keep Cuda 8.0. But, if we see that it is holding us back we'll change, of course. Thanks for the tip! We keep working on improvements. It is likely we'll be able to release an even better miniZ soon.

Thank you for giving us an alternate miner but with same fee and less hashrate than Gminer, it does not look attractive to use. I hope next release will beat Gminer.

Hi everyone, thanks for the encouragement! Good effort..but it is not faster than Gminer
Thank you for giving us an alternate miner but with same fee and less hashrate than Gminer, it does not look attractive to use. I hope next release will beat Gminer.
We understand your point but keep following us! add 192,7
At the moment we are improving the 144,5. But we'll have your request in consideration How does this do with a 1080ti ? More than 80 sol/s ?
Unfortunately we do not have access to a 1080Ti. If you do, would you be so kind to test it and let everyone know? There'll be a new miniZ version soon! Not work on 12 GPU and please use PCI bus GPU order Thanks for your work!!! We need alternatives Thank you for reporting this bug. It should be fixed in the next version. Can you try it out then and report back? We'll look into PCI bus order in future releases. At the moment miniZ uses cuda devices order.

Hi topteam, nvidia-smi does list PCI bus order but this is not the default cuda order. ref: https://docs.nvidia.com/cuda/cuda-c-programming-guide/index.html#env-vars To show the GPUs listed in PCI bus order, in Linux, you can run miniZ adding CUDA_DEVICE_ORDER=PCI_BUS_ID before miniZ. Example: CUDA_DEVICE_ORDER=PCI_BUS_ID ./miniZ -ci On Windows powershell command to change to PCI_BUS_ID before running miniZ: env:CUDA_DEVICE_ORDER = "PCI_BUS_ID" Thanks!! New version should out soon

Hi everyone, in the first place, we would like to thank you all for your support and feedback. There is a new miniZ version v1.0g! Like the previous version, we added support for RTX 20xx GPUs (alpha stage). If you happen to try miniZ on these GPUs, give us feedback so that we can keep improving the miner. For more information, download, and support check the website: https://miniz.ch/Download miniZ miner here: https://miniz.ch/download/Happy mining!
