v0.1.17 was a mandatory update.

v0.1.18 is the latest release available,this is not a mandatory update.(this has solved most of the issues seen in v0.1.17)
Personally for me v0.1.18 has been very smooth and have faced no issues so far! i would recommend to update.

seems interesting, how do you guys stop people from spamming the network without fee?

There are several anti-spam measures in place, but this is basically how the main one works: When a client wallet tries to make too many transactions in a set period of time it will get kicked to the back of the queue, if it keeps it up it will be disconnected from the network for 10 minutes, if it keeps up the ban time increases, and so on.
This is just one measure, there are several more in place.
But please do try to spam it, check for yourself, it is really interesting to see how this works when you are trying.

that's great. I consider x42 main blockchain as the settlement layer and sidechains can be customised to meet the specific demands.

ATTENTION EVERYONE   x42 wallet version .19 is out! After block 400k all staking rewards will be lowered to 2 x42 per block, that is correct, it will go down to 1/10th the current reward.

I am super exited about MasterNodes Tier1 that will come soon, I am looking forward to get some of them and later I will have enough coins for MasterNode Tier2 maybe.

I find the great thing about the tiered masternodes, and they way they are released, is the tier 1 will be a good entry point for people unfamiliar with running a masternode, and fairly easy to acquire the coins to start one.

I have my eyes on the tier 2 however. It seems to me, as the most attractive of the three options. It will be worth the wait, and will be fun to see the tier 1 and tier 3 up and running prior!
