So, what is Cryptsy doing about this? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=525942.0

The guy complaining is a hacker who got caught stealing other customers funds so his account is suspended until the investigation is complete.

Just curious to which member was paid off to add Battlecoin?

0 services, 0 hashrate, 0 progress since launch. Maybe it has something to do with the chatbox scab you have working their now???

Is chat scab (Horus), the biggest scab in crypto history a staff member and being paid by Cryptsy?

Just wanted the community to know whats going on there.

Confirm or deny, but likely due to BitJohn being know as a scammer and bullshit artist to rip thousands off innocent victims, a honest response is not probable.

Thanks. I retract my comments on that other thread. Be sure he's an hacker though.

People are being urged on IRC to withdraw all coins due to massive exchange hacks and avoid situations like that on VirCurex

Do you have enough coins to cover a 'bank run' if everyone withdraws all their expensive coins in the next couple of days ?

Password resets now put withdraws on hold for 24 hours.

This snuck in there, but what a great idea.  Keep up the good work.

One thing I'd like to see is a "hide empty" balances feature, if you "polo" what I mean.  I'd also like it if getting to a market from the sidebar were faster than the 3-clicks and 2 page loads it now takes.

Starting a new official Cryptsy thread where I will put any news and updates. Notice its moderated to keep out the trolls and to actually try and keep it useful.

Rules
1. Do NOT post "I want to add this coin or check out my coin etc. Its clutter"
     a. I check the announcement forums regularly.
2. DO NOT get mad if I delete something in this thread maybe Im just cleaning it up to keep it relevant to the topic.
3. Do post detailed feature requests I would love to hear em.
4. Do not put support issues in this thread as they belong in tickets or if you must PM myself or one of the other agents on the board they will likely help you out.
5. Do monitor for official news and events.

Thanks excited about giving this a whirl and seeing if we can get some good conversation and news updates.

BitJohn,

Sorry to post message not related the topic so much. PMed you yesterday to seek possibility to cooperate with you guys for market development. Could you shed some light on your thought?

I think you have a bug with COL volume calculation - take a look at the "Trade" page:

Code:
COL/LTC ColossusCoin 0 BTC 0.00000011 LTC 0.00000008 LTC
COL/XPM ColossusCoin 0 BTC 0.00000134 XPM 0.00000109 XPM

So in the "Volume in BTC" column we see "0 BTC". But: if we will open COL/LTC market (https://www.cryptsy.com/markets/view/109), we'll see a lot of recent trades, some of them are quite large:

Code:
2014-03-14 12:57:18	Sell	0.00000008	300000000.00000000	24.00000000
2014-03-14 12:57:07 Sell 0.00000008 322534171.25836840 25.80273370
The real volume is at least (24.00000000+25.80273370)*0.02626721 ~ 1.3 BTC, if I'm calculating it right. Please look into it (I think the possible reason is that COL's price in BTC is less than 0.00000001).

Also, COL's "BTC Value" column at "Balances" page is always 0.00000000, I think it's manifestation of the same bug.

Another illustration (it's not only COL market):

All coins with current price which is less than 0.00000001 BTC (~ 0.00000035 LTC) have erroneous volume of 0 BTC.

I have reported this to support and they acknowledge it a repair is required. Not sure what they are doing about it though.

Too bad as it affects Coinmarketcap data too, and volume is quite important there, as coins with low volume are in a separate list now.

Nice job adding USD trading, I hope the transition goes smoothly; I also look forward to your fee shares going up.  Wink

No april fools joke here Smiley We have been working hard on this for months

People are being urged on IRC to withdraw all coins due to massive exchange hacks and avoid situations like that on VirCurex

Do you have enough coins to cover a 'bank run' if everyone withdraws all their expensive coins in the next couple of days ?

Yes unlike banks we do NOT operate on fractional reserves. In most cases we have more funds then are allocated to users

I have reported this to support and they acknowledge it a repair is required. Not sure what they are doing about it though.

Ill sit down with Vern again and see what we can find there

What browser do you run? Some times Firefox and Chrome can have issues with Cryptsy, I personally like Firefox. Try IE.

But is does sound like you need to flush you dns cache and clear the cache on your browser?

skipped over MRY in coin votes for nyan..  Roll Eyes

From
https://www.cryptsy.com/coinvotes/

"Although most of our new coins will be informed by the feedback from our user polling process, we reserve the right to add new markets outside of this list from time to time."

Oh I'm well aware of that.. doesn't negate the "  Roll Eyes "
If you are aware then there is no reason to roll eyes. Huh, they are doing something that they said they would do occasionally, so I should make a stupid comment about it with a stupid emoticon.
