Signs on the blockchain indicate that MtGox has processed a small number of external transactions today for the first time since suspending customer withdrawals earlier this month.

By using the MtGox API and blockchain forensics, a Reddit reader has uncovered evidence that some transactions have started to be processed. Plus there are reports that users are beginning to receive their previously requested bitcoins.

What a spike.  If all withdrawals get processed, some insiders and gamblers will have made wild returns.

If they had any honesty about them they would have suspended trading on their exchange. This has been a giant scam to get Gox thousands of cheap coins at the expense of thousands of small-time panicked customers.

definately good news for ppl who have funds at mtgox. I hope everybody will get their money/btc back.

And all that looks like a dirty-dirty scam-insider operation to lower btc price for a short period of time.

Well, that's just speculation. The guy who found what he believes to be evidence makes clear that he is not sure of his claim. And anyway , those supposed small withdrawals does not mean much, can be anything even another bug

What if it's just a tactic to get people buying bitcoins because they'll think "They're testing withdrawal this means I will soon be able to!"?

I never met an honest bug, but I have met an honest-to-goodness market manipulator.

It is showing how sensitive bitcoin is to speculation, a random guys appears claimin supposed(and weak) evidence with tech information that 99% of people can't even understand and the price goes up by 100%.

Right. I expect Mt. Gox to "resume withdrawals" with lots of restrictions on them so people can't take out every BTC they have. Just like they did for USD and EUR. Then they'll announce loudly that everything is back to "normal". The suckers fell for that for months last time.
