So this is just me here but they need to be stopped.

Issue 1. They have bugs with the coins they have.
Issue 2. They keep adding more coins.
Issue 3. People still use them.
Issue 4. The larger volume then other exchanges is keeping them thriving.

Every second or third transaction I make on Cryptsy leads me to talk to customer support.

When I say transaction, I mean....

1. Deposits.
2. Withdrawals.
3. Orders.

They have issues everywhere and are still the biggest exchange. We need to change this unless we want to see what happened with MtGOX happen to us at Cryptsy, utter failure.

Hell, half the time when they take a coindown for maintenance the coin goes down before any information is even given.
We must spread the good word about other exchanges, will continuing to get Cryptsy to fix pending issues.

I will start here, these are all alt-coin exchanges that have more than 1 BTC daily volume.

http://bter.com
https://www.coins-e.com/
http://coinex.pw
http://cryptorush.in
http://vircurex.com

http://coinmarket.io
https://www.atomic-trade.com
http://openex.pw
https://crypto-trade.com
https://www.poloniex.com/
https://mcxnow.com
https://www.swisscex.com'
http://c-cex.com

Bter has many options and is a great site, but it is a bit harder to navigate than some of them.

Crypto rush has a massive collection of coins, as well as many different trading pairs. Most coins can be traded for BTC LTC DOGE DGC or POT.

Happy trading, lets show Cryptsy that they are an exchange and as such need to step up their game.

cryptsy has shit support and lots of bugs, also probably quite corrupt ie listing coins they mine and buy cheap before better coins.

HOWEVER

I still trust them above all the other alt exchanges. We need them to improve not take them down. When they work, they work great.

I do like coinedup now they are faster, and coinmarket.io too.

But cryptsy is big and we know who is behind it that counts for a lot. They like to make money , but i don't think they would actually steal your actually coins you deposit.

Cryptsy makes a big bucks now and needs to hire some more support guys.

I see your point, more support staff would definitely be a must, and your correct, when Cryptsy works it works well. It is the getting it at a time its working that seems to be my issue.
The fact that it takes days, and I've waited up to a week, just to be acknowledged for a ticket for lost coins is what most bugs me. This tells me either ....

1. They are totally understaffed at the best of times.
2. Many many many many others are having the same problems as I am, otherwise support staff would be available.

I never experienced any major problems with cryptsy, except for their very slow support

I read about so many complaints about cryptsy. I trade almost every day on cryptsy and I have never considered a problem yet. Sometimes, deposits need its time but thats normal since some altcoins need its time get enough confirmation. Rather be happy that there is such a wide range of different exchanges. Competition is the base of innovation Wink

Exactly, it's a shame logic isn't great here, you'd think it would be considering cryptography is logic based.

Yes sir. That is why cable companies suck along with telephone companies... ect... when there is no other alternative they know either you have to deal or not have the service.

People have started to move away from them.  I myself have been free from them for a few weeks now in depositing coins with them. Now I dont have to worry if some random coin that deposited in a few minutes will still be that way the next deposit.

I have to say that they been communicating much better as of late. To me that is a huge thing.

It's really simple to stop using Cryptsy.

1) Let go of the keyboard

2) Back away slowly

3) Don't come back.

~BCX~

You are the biggest cheer leader for Cryptsy.... we know you warship the ground they walk on. There is NOTHING wrong with airing out issues that things have. Like I told you before many times, just because you have not had issues/ or have gotten issues fixed fast does not mean that its that way for a lot of people.

So where's the fault in the three simple steps above?

~BCX~

I did not say there was any fault in that.

The problem I have is that you always get your panties in a bind with any type of criticism about cryptsy. Without criticism they would not improve. Its just anything in life. Do we really want another Gox for an exchange?

For those of you that have had no issues with Cryptsy and all that then all the power to you.

As for not using it, for the most part I do not any more, take your stupid comments about logic and keep them to yourself.

If you want to talk logic.

You people clicked on a thread about stopping Cryptsy to hate on the thread.
So here are some steps folks.

1. See a thread you have nothing to contribute to.
2. Don't click the thread
3. Don't click the thread
4. Don't click the thread

To clarify my going on Vacation MCXnow did a 500 BTC share offering then went offline for months.... causing the shares to drop to almost nothing. I got no issues with the exchange but its obvious there is an attempt to spread FUD on the forums.

This is probably the biggest issue with their exchange right now. BitJohn (Not sure about the others) legitimately believes that the people who post their issues with Cryptsy are just a ruse, and that they are just an attempt to spread FUD.

I've never really had any problems with cryptsy but I don't day trade; mostly just use to buy occasionally with BTC and transfer to QT wallets. I know there've been times with delayed deposits/withdrawals but I place a good amount of trust in the company to not scam me off. It's a real business with a real address run by real people not above or outside the law.

I actually like the fact its US based, so I don't have to deal with shit like FATCA and FBAR reporting.

Since they support the best cryptocurrency of all, Betacoin (BET), i like them.

I 've bought thousands of Betacoins from them with no problem.

I've made hundreds of issue free trades at cryptsy.  Just have the occasional delay with a deposit here and there.

You're new here, you can tell, creating a thread in the first place because you're a total dick with bad investments doesn't mean you gotta hate on cryptsy.

Making a forum thread to unite the knights of the realm against the exchange is rather more moronic than using common sense to not use something you don't like.

Make sure you pick up your fedora when you leave.
