Hey all. I am running 4x Sapphire Toxic 280x's. I am currently getting 2.388 Mh/s from them each, low temps. Should I be getting more? Config to follow:
--scrypt --Nfmin 4 --Nfmax 30 --StartT 1393167677 -I 20 --thread-concurrency 8192 -g 2 -w 256 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-memclock 1800,1800,1800,1800 --gpu-engine 1180,1180,1180,1180 --expiry 1 --scan-time 1 --queue 0 --gpu-powertune 20,20,20,20

I tried I=13, 15, 18, 20, all of them. I have tried changing TC from 8192, to 11200, and a couple others. Also tried Mem clock from 1500-1800, changing it slightly each time, and finally gpu engine at 1050, 1070, 1080, 1150, 1160, 1200, 1220, 1230, etc.

I see people saying a lot more, but am I just seeing this due to the N-factor going up? Or should I change settings?

yes, it's quite low. I'm getting about 6 Mh/s per 280X card.

try these settings:

cgminer.exe --scrypt-jane --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --sj-time 1393167677  -I 13 --thread-concurrency 8193 -g 2 -w 256

engine clock is 1100,  memory 1500, both  set in Afterburner, ... but there is some space for improvement here

I'm using the  scrypt-jane miner from https://sites.google.com/site/rmdavidson/  btw

I quit with this kind of coin.
I tried different miners: yacminer-3.3.1, yacminer-3.4.2, cgminer-3.7.2-sj-0.02 and other modified scrypt-jane miners + many different settings and nobody works.
I got only windows freeze and have to restart my computer.
For me it's a waste of time.
My GPU: PowerColor R9 290X
if someone with this GPU brand is able to mine scrypt-jane coins please sent me a pm with miner and command line.
Thank you and bb, I'm go to mine other coins.

I also use the same GPU's and am able to mine with it.

The same thing happens to my miners when the pool i'm logged into doesn't respond.  It crashes the miner and ultimately the OS.

If i can ask, what pool are you connecting to?  Please make sure you are using the GPU miner that was posted in the ANN post.

Look here: http://thor.cryptopool.eu/index.php?page=register - We are currently not accepting new user registrations.

How you accepting registrations when you not accepting registrations ?!? Hmmmm...

You know, you could have changed the default starttime in the code so that people don't need those parameters instead of just renaming YBCMiner... Just sayin...

For my 290x's I'm using the miner in the op and the poolminer bat. changed accordingly.

I started them with the included .bin file for Hawaii/290x but then made a config and used a thread concurrency of 32765 just like regular scrypt.

Press s then w and it will write a config for you called cgminer.conf, change the tc in that and restart.

Running incredibly cool and getting 7.85 MH/s

I'm sure I can tweak a little more....1050/1500 right now. I also have hynix mem so elpida might be different without a stilt bios.

scypt-jane and the rest are the future....less noise, power usage, and wear and tear....awesome.

Why pay for fees? Mindfox.Net is a 0% fee PROP pool.

Donations are welcome but not required.

Hammer this coin in a clever way. Mine at Mindfox.Net Thorcoin pool.

Mindfox.Net has been re-enforced with a new server which should provide faster browsing experience.
The quality of stratum and pool software is of course the same (if not enhanced, since the new server has more than just 2 cores and 2GBs of RAM Wink )

New Pool Settings:
URL: http://thor.pools.mindfox.net
STRATUM:   stratum+tcp://stratum.thor.pools.mindfox.net
PORT:   3342
Username:   Weblogin.Worker
Password:   Worker Password

Old Pool Settings:
URL: http://thorcoin.pools.mindfox.net
STRATUM:   stratum+tcp://stratum.thorcoin.pools.mindfox.net
PORT:   3342
Username:   Weblogin.Worker
Password:   Worker Password

If you use a command-line miner, type:

./cgminer --scrypt  -o stratum+tcp://stratum.thorcoin.pools.mindfox.net:3342 -u Weblogin.Worker -p Worker password

We are not professionals
We do not own expensive hardware
We only do what we know best: provide a rock steady and free pool

Users of the old pool would be happy to know that accounts and worker info has been migrated to the new server.
Balances from the old pool will be distributed in schedule and the migration to the new server is a matter of choice. (Although it would be better if everybody move to the new server so we all gain from the enhanced speed and extra ram)

Come mine with the GODS!

thor.zeuspool.com

Thorcoin - The Strong and Powerful energy efficient Scrypt-Jane ASIC Proof coin.

Thorcoin, a revolutionary hybrid proof-of-work/proof-of-stake coin. With Thorcoin you are able to receive and send Thorcoin all around the world and back, to all of your peers including businesses, friends, and family. Thorcoin is a Scrypt Jane Hybrid which only can be mined using CPU's and GPU's. Feel safe with ASIC resistant Scrypt Jane.

The millions of dollars spent on developing ASIC mining are made so CPUs and GPUs are no longer efficient for mining. The result of this was large datacenters with ASICs mining Bitcoin and made CPUs and GPUs unusable for mining, so many went to mine Litecoin, now litecoin has ASICs of its own. A new revolutionary currency will change this, Thorcoin. Why? Thorcoin's ASIC Resistance.

Pool is working 100% better. It would be wonderful if some of the miners moved over to spread the hashpower out over different pools.
