Apparently, ICO investors continue to fall prey to innumerable ICO scam. The effect of this is very devastating on investors perception of crypto-project ICOs.
While it appears there is no apparent solution to address the current scam associated with ICO in the crypto space. I propose that we help each other in finding out the best ways to identify and separate genuine ICO from fake ones....

I think its very difficult to determine if the ico is scam. Perhaps, if the ico have a budget for the bounty project, and they already have an

exchange for their utility token, I guess that project is legit. As long as they are transparent to their community as well in terms of their updates

or news.

Strong study on the Team of the ICO is seriously important before Investing on it. Cool Websites , Whitepaper and even great token economics can be traps by the Scammers to win the Investors. How they answering good questions of the community is also a good way of finding scam Projects.

Do the research and talk to the team, ask questions. See their business plan, if the product even has a market and need etc.

the way that we can avoid a scam project is by conducting a good analysis of all matters relating to the ICO Project. some supporting documents, teams and advisors are the main things to analyze
The main thing is not to trust the various sites providing information about the projects, there is no guarantee that they honestly check, all you need to recheck yourself
The truth is they will only give us the visitors a necessary information but a biased ones. There is no borderline of those scam ICO and hthe legit ones. Even if you pay the site they will definitely do what you will tell them to do.
adding a little information from the experience that I experienced from my participation in a scam project was not to trust the ICO on behalf of the popular altcoin. such as Ethreum Vision Classic Vision (ETCV) scam project in the name of hardfork Ethereum Classic

All sorts of lessons or guides on this forum can not protect you from scam projects. I tried and still was on the verge of a real project scam, I still think that intuition and experience can help to figure it out.

it used to be easy to invest, but now every project needs to be carefully studied, check all possible sources of information and especially closely check the team

There are several ways to distinguish the actual ico or scam, even though it's actually quite difficult, but at least this method can be a little helpful apart from the ico scam.
Make it a habit to read their whitepaper before deciding to invest in it, there are many things we can explore including the direction of the project. goal or not and the team works well or not.

We must oppose ICO fraud because it is very detrimental to many people. Checking again is very important and you need to be more careful. Some ICO ranking websites actually help us determine ICO project choices. However, research must be done first.

Apparently, just make your own research about the coin that you want to invest. Always verify their credentials and their background partnership if they have to know more about it.

I dont even know what can save ur from this scam mess, it has infuriated the whole crypto world, 6 out of every 10 ico is a scam, it has even gotten to the stage where they are using Fork of Ethereum to scam, this Ethereum classic vision came from no where offering better improvement to Ethereum and people bought in, we all have to be more careful and report any scam bounty immediately you notice anything like that.. thanks

when the market is experiencing a very large price decline and there is an ico scam everywhere, you still ask how to distinguish ico scam or real Huh from here you have to learn a lot and do a lot of research, not ask other people you don't know

I agree with you completely, this is our common problem, the money that forever leaves the world of cryptocurrency is a very strong common problem, but how can we fight it??? Even if we find specialists, where are the guarantees that they won't be bribed tomorrow? Unfortunately, there are no such guarantees.

simply do some thorough research about the that certain initial coin offering or ico, who the one manage its bounty campaign, the team involved in that particular ico, theyre project proposal. The more you dig, the more you will not buried. Be wise enough to investigate every ico that you are going to be part of.

Never trust anybody lol!

I usually follow well know sources like Icodrops and other similar channels to find good ICO to invest
I try to stay away as much as I can from the whole “influencer” thing, as we seen last year, lot of peeps lost money because they got into deals shilled by these folks
Also I follow some crypto funds like Polychain and similar and try to learn and understand what kind of investments they do

For me to avoid scams ICO should look good if it is legit or not. because most ico is now a scam and if the scam is not paused or stopped, because they do not see the potential of their tokens and they do not expect to earn them big.

As many says that it is not easy to determine whether an ico is a scam, however we should do a lot of more background research about what we are joining ico. We should read their project plans and the content about their ico on whitepaper and on their website. Because there are some ico that only copies other project's perspective. We see it as a real project but the real thing is its a fraud or scam ico.

Put main attention on the whitepaper and the team. Most of scammers are stealing another project's whitepaper and then put it into his site. As far as I know that about the fact that most of scammers are using the fake identity by stealing it from the internet.
