HBN: POS coin with active community and really good dev.

PoS is good .... why you say those devs are really good? Any proofs? Smiley

Check out the hbn thread. Check out the hbn wallet. The proof is there. Smiley

Phs dev is likewise pro-active and seemingly always busy protecting and improving philosopherstone.

thanks I will have a look at it ... at least it is not PoW ... so I will try it.
I cannot find HBN thread ... what is the name of this coin ? Smiley

That is the million dollar question  Wink
I believe a good PoS coin can be a good long term investment as you are always earning more while at the same time the price is always changing.

I invested in Blackcoin and Mintcoin.

Blackcoin:
I really like the POS and i think this coin has a bright future.
Because of the fast rising price of this coin, i made some good profit already.
On the other hand, the rapid changing price is like a rollercoaster and feels like i'm playing in a casino. Constantly hoping that the bubble won't burst.

Mintcoin:
I invested in this coin because it has a fast growing community and a fast growing number of exchanges and merchants.
It's a POS coin like Blackcoin, but gives you a 20% interest for the first year, 15%, second year, 10% next year and 5% the years after that thanks to the minting function of the wallet (the extra coins just pop up after 20 days in your wallet!).
Mintcoin has very fast transactions with coin control.
I see Mintcoin as a safe long term investment.
The price is hovering between 12 and 17 sats for weeks now and reminds me at the beginning of LTC. Ready to explode.

The best coin to invest this year is Pesetacoin. I'm gonna explain some of the facts:

- It was the first Spanish-talking altcoin. This is a important fact: Spanish is the 3rd most talked language in the world.
- Probably one of the best Devs behind any altcoin + really hardworking.
- First wallet EVER to have in charts PTC- FIAT. This has just released opensource by PTC dev, so expect it to be in every wallet in few time

- www.payptc.com This is a payment gateway just released by the dev. Something similar to bitpay but for PTC.
- Expect now a lot of addons for different e-commerce software, being prestashop addon the first one to be released in just a few hours from now.
- Massive community behind: www.forocoches.com, the most crowded forum in Spanish in the whole internet, has 3 posts about Pesetacoin with over 500 pages each.
- The dev has decided to give more importance to the work behind the coin than to the trading part, not paying to be in any exchange, and still manged it to be top 50 for almost 50 days in coinmarketcap (34 actually) without being in cryptsy (apparently this exchange hates that PTC doesn't pay since they don't want it to put up in voting poll). The price has been pretty steady, gonig up a little in about 50 days.
- Ultrafast transactions. As fast as Ultracoin.

Not bad.

The 1% stake on bc is just too low to be meaningful.

Totally agree with regard to mintcoin. If you look at price charts of hbn or phs it's pretty striking that mintcoin price rarely budges. I'm stacking.

Electric bills are still paid in fiat. Mining without using power is attractive.

Well yeah, but POS rates JMO seem to be too small besides TEKcoin (40% a month) and maybe Hobonickels (2% 10 days). Monthly or god forbid POS rates are basically useless unless they're in cold storage.

I Agree with your list! Smiley

I would just make a little change, like:

1. BTC
2. Litecoin

Smiley I do not believe anymore in none of other coins.

Buy MoonCoin. It is primed for a colossal rise... Trust me :-)

Last time I bought $20 of it during the January BTC ChinaFUD depression, and watched it shoot up to $2000 worth when the dust settled. It's almost at a record low now, so go get some.

I think PoS is unethical - it rewards whales and makes a coin look like a ponzi scheme

There ain't no Revolution like a NEMolution.  The only solution is Bitcoin's dissolution! NEM!

With all the noise created in the altcoin section it is really hard to figure what coins are promising, especially since the vast majority are just clones.

There are some interesting ones out there but the one that seems definitely the most promising at the moment is NEM.

Main reason being:
- Impressing technical aspects: 100% innovation written from scratch with new PoI algorithm and many very promising features. This innovation makes it more energy efficient, scalable and sustainable over time.
- Most fair distribution and best beginning of any coin. The coin has not even been launched yet but there are around 3000 stakeholders waiting to get their hands on the coin and do whatever it takes to get this to the next level.
- Brilliant dev team and great community. The dev team is putting a lot of hard work into every step of the development process and the results are already visible. The community is rapidly growing and is full of talent waiting to contribute to this interesting experiment.
- There will be no inflation for this coin since all the coins will be distributed at the beginning. So as the new features are unveiled and the coin gets more traction because of all the value it creates, price will probably skyrocket.

This is no get rich quick scheme or pump and dump coin. This is an interesting and long term project with an immense potential to become very big.

But don't trust me for my word, do your own research, make your own choice and see you in the NEM community.

P.S. Seems the price for a stake will maybe be somewhere north of 5 btc/stake right after the launch. As more people become aware of this New Economy Movement and its great potential you can guess what will happen.

Update: I will add that this coin will probably be competing hard with Nxt(which is very interesting and promising as well) but will have the enormous advantage of a fair and well organized distribution which could prove instrumental.

I am really new to crypto but this seems an interesting explanation.

I think PoS is unethical - it rewards whales and makes a coin look like a ponzi scheme

Can you elaborate?

You have a problem with it rewarding people who buy and hold? If it only rewarded those with deep pockets *cough*next*cough* then I could see your criticism, but that's not the case. Single coins can stake so anyone can get in and build a stack.
