I  don't think there is anything unique about Blackcoin - it's a Bitclone with PoS (old mechanism) and poor distribution (top 100 wallets control more than 53%.  Wallets =/= unique people) and some rhetorical improvements ("faster than Bitcoin, blah blah")

It's currently the pump and dump.  Looking back 90 days the PnD used to be mintcoin and vertcoin.

When i posted one hour before it was at 37k now 55k
When i posted the first time in this thread it was at 8000 satoshi
When i bought my first BC it was at 1250 satoshi
So you can talk if u want i buy buy buy!!!

And i will quote myself at 100 000! BLAAACKKK COIIINNNNNNNNNN

Only thing unique about BC IMO is its multipool. None other causes so much market manipulation :/

Multipool isn't proprietary, either.  Zeitcoin and NEM are at least two coins which intend to run Multipools.

Distribution is very good considering the age of the coin. IMO, you can't really compare it to established coins. There's a limit to how much distribution is possible this early in any coin's development. Distribution improves a lot on the way to any coin establishing itself, as the price rises. Holders get more and more tempted to sell with each rise after the tipping point. Hypothetically, if BC really has the steam and built up to $25, the distribution would look worlds better at that point. I'm fairly sure BTC, LTC and most of the big players had far worse distribution at this point in their development. There are established coins that still do.

PoS is old, yes... but there has not been a full PoS coin before. Only hybrids.

NxT is more full PoS than Blackcoin ever was (which had an initial mining phase).  That being said, NxT coin died after hitting $90+ million when all the FUD about distribution brought it down.

Nobody is saying you need a distribution involving 30,000 people or 6 billion people, but nobody wants to invest into a ponzi scheme where a very small handful of people reap all the benefit.

According to the top Bitcoin wallet list, which include exchanges, there's only 700 wallets with amounts over $1 million and wallets does not =/= unique persons (it's well known that wealthy BTC whales break up their funds into multiple wallets as a security measure).

.  I don't see how Blackcoin is shaping up to be any better than BTC - in fact - it's likely going to be worse.

I wouldn't bring up distribution comparisons with BTC as BTC back then had little value and it was more a hobby.  In contrast, all these alternate coins are deliberately creating ponzi schemes based on the assumption their coin could hit $12 billion and the inner circle of early birds / friends / speculators will walk away with 100s of millions each.

Hell of a generalization. There are people here who legitimately believe in the future of crypto-currency doing everything they can to push it forward. Though that does tend to get washed out by the profit-seeking.

I think rapid development is good for the future of crypto, even considering 99% of these alts are going to do nothing and then die. Even though more than half are legitimate scams. I don't see or champion for BTC being replaced. My point of view is that the room for expansion of crypto-currency is so, so vast that there will NEED to be more than one big player when this expansion is realized. Bitcoin will be 1000x more valuable, but it will have competition. If Blackcoin will not be one of them, fine. We'll come up with better and better innovations until we have them, and crypto-currency as a whole will only benefit.

So I guess we fundamentally disagree on altcoins in general. But there are no rules or test cases for anything in crypto. Exciting times.  Grin

Looks like blackcoin pool was the most profitable for one day according to that chart, not a week.
You are reading the charts wrong.

Blackcoinpool was most profitable last 1 day, last 3 days, last 7 days. Hashcow was the most profitable last 14,21,28 days (but it curently doesn't show something is wrong with poolpicker). And the way things are goin i'm sure blackcoinpool will be the most profitable pool for all 28 days when it's active so long.

I think COMMunity it's a good one to invest right now. There are definitively groups of people working together and coordinating their efforts to promote their endeavors on this forum.  It's typically these kind of coins that get a good hype, just like COIN2, NEM... I don't understand why you shouldn't invest in this community coin.

It has to be CommunityCoin.

It's a Pure POS coin with the fairest distribution model so far
and is empowered by a very active , productive community.
Many services are in the works through combined effort and generous donations.
Multipool is coming up soon too.
It's exciting to be a part of this group .Come Join us!

The problem with blackcoin is, that the majority just got a minimum of the coin, the "whales" are just to big with bc, if they want to dump, the market is gonna collapse...
The only good thing about BC is that the dev. is very active and a good dev. trying hard!
bc market is hard manipulated. pump and dumb scheme is appropriate here to state.
Nothing new about BC... PoS is a good thing but not new. BC believer will still hold on it. It can be big, but i would not bet on it.

Community Coin is very interesting, new scheme/pattern.
Devs. are very productive and it is something new and fresh,.
The distribution is looking fair and sqaure forward to it and would be glad the support it!
