Have I missed something? Why is the difficulty jumped so high?

tracy123 is a bot.  It has repeated my post verbatim and is now posting someone else's post from a few pages back.

So we think WE have problems!

Found this on another coin thread, thought I'd share it...

Quote
Really had a funny evening tonight.. DDoS started with about 3 GBit/s on our stratum - nothing special, we have that every day.

The attacker(s) noticed we mitigated the attack, stopped it, and came back with 10GBit/s 30min later.. This was mitigated by our provider and our scripts again without problems. The attack stopped and came back with 30 GBit/s to all our ports, HTTP, HTTPS, Stratum, SSH etc. making the server practically unreachable. Fortunately our scripts took action and banned those attacking IPs, I never saw such a long Banlist in iptables :-)

After that worked out, the attacker came AGAIN, this time with 60bit/s to all our ports, from even more IPs, there where mostly from Russia and China which simply flooded our iptables completely. Our prov even contacted me and noticed me of the attack, they first though we're running a botnet-node on the server :-)

Nevertheless, they're now filtering the traffic at their Juniper Routers, so we're back in Business again and are really, really sorry for the downtime. Suprnova always does the best it can to fight against such attacks, we are having them everyday, but 60gbit/s is really A LOT :-)

Be wise, set-up backup pools, we're now protected on router-level, so we should be fine, but for safety reasons, PLEASE set-up back-up pools !

Thanks !

Food for thought?

My first thought was bored kids, but when a pool has a DDOS attack, my second thought is it's another pool trying to f*** their shit up.

My brother and I run a couple of eCommerce sites, couple of thousand hits a day, decent amount of orders, not bothering anyone in the slightest, and yet in the last 6 months, we've averaged 1 DDOS attack a month. No clue why but our provider has automated systems to migrate if there is any suspicious traffic.

We should ignore Mintpal with it's huge sell walls and focus on Cryptsy it's much easier to rise there the price.

Why do you just want to rise the price, to what end, all you're then doing it buying coins at a higher price than you need to .

Just buy at 3sat on MintPal, you'll get more coins for the same price.

What is your opinion about this coin shape proposal?  Do you like it?

Personally, no, not one bit. Sorry.

In my never-too-humble opinion the BEST example of really good design on a coin logo recently is BLITZ.

We should hunt down THAT designer & ask him if he wouldn't mind trying a few ideas on Zeit.

I'll offer 250,000 from my own wallet to a fund to get some uber-kewl work like that Wink

So when your left holding just don’t be surprised
The asshole who farted is just bitcoin lies

Don’t listen to bullshit about upcoming pumps
Truth is these idiots are simple dev chumps
Who hype up their shitcoins, mostly premined as well
They bribe the exchanges and send you to hell

You're spending your Saturday evening reading that Shitcoin Cleanout thread too then.

I have to admit, it's more fun that most things on TV on a Saturday night, highly entertaining.

Just buy at 3sat on MintPal, you'll get more coins for the same price.

Slow and steady value growth.
2sat is the price that you want for Zeit in a year? You can't just multiply the price in a day unless it's a pump which will lead to a dump. We all had enough time to buy it cheap now it's time to start increasing the price.
Price growth will also increase the interest in the coin and bring new people. A value of 2sat doesn't give a great impression.

So my Proof of Stake is due today, it is 10th March since I put coins in my wallet, and they have stayed there, and been added to.

Any tips?

My client says stake is 0.00, but I'm 10 hours early.

What should I expect to happen, and do I need to do anything other than open the wallet?

My wallet is not locked.
