It was expected. The other alts (especially Ripple and Ethereum) were looking quite a bit overpriced. Else, how can you justify Ripple having a market cap of $13 billion, despite not even having 1% of the user-base of Bitcoin. Also, ETH shot up too much in 2017 due to the ICOs.

Dominance level is an useless statistics in my opinion because the prices were still falling even after the dominnce level reached more value than start of this year.This maybe happening because people converting their altcoins to bitcoin since the prices of altcoins were falling much than bitcoin.
