Hello Everyone,

We are happy to finally introduce...

BoschiCoin Specifications:

BoschiCoin (BCC)
    Algorithm: Scrypt
    Block Reward: 84
    Block Time: 60 Seconds
    Block Halving Rate: 420,000
    Difficultly Retarget: Kimoto's Gravity Well
    Max Coins: 52,080,000

RPC Port - 53555
    P2P Port - 53556
    Testnet Port - 53557

     The countdown starts now. The BCC-QT and site will launch on Monday 03/03/14  9:00PM GMT+0 for us and all of you to start mining.  Only about 1000 had been test mined and will all be used as giveaways for the first 100 BCC wallet addresses (10x100).

BitcoinStacker, No BoschiCoin are not pre-mined. We are doing this launch countdown in order to start mining together.

KeijiN San is a real gentleman and honorable and keeps his word so nicely. I want to say thank you for the promo bounty already received and I will be helping more with promotion as the coin launches. It's sometimes the more quiet and low profile coins that go up in a bang and am very glad three pools are ready to rock and roll with the black and white cats! Smiley

CharityMiningPools - Donate to Charity while you Mine!

bcc.charityminingpools.com - Open for Pre-Registration Now!

Come mine while making a difference.

Mandatory 0.5% donation fee goes to the BitGive Foundation this month.  We welcome and encourage you to donate more to a good cause.  $54 Was raised and donated in February, let's get that number a lot higher for March!

SSL, STRATUM, VARDIFF, Datacenter Redundant Server Farm, Load Balanced Servers, Frequent Backups
0.5% Mandatory Donation fee to a Good Cause

Who Are We?
CharityMiningPools was created to allow miners the ability to mine coins while still knowing that their hashing power is going towards something good.  Our goal is to provide a positive and reliable service while delivering a small portion of the proceeds to a deserving recipient.  Plans are in the works to allow individual miners to choose where they would like to donate to based on a pool of available recipients.

How Does This Work?
All coins minded at CharityMiningPools will require a mandatory 0.5% Donation fee.  This donation fee will be collected and donated to the designated charitable recipient for that given month.  Though we only require a minimum 0.5% Donation fee, we welcome and encourage our miners to raise the stakes and donate more to a good cause.

Cheers!

The developers behind BoschiCoin do a really great job of informing everyone about their new crypto coin long before it is releast. Not only here on bitcointalk, but also on other sites which is good because it can be hard to keep up with this massive forum.

Cheers!
CharityMiningPools

Think you forgot to add us to the list of pools on the main page  Smiley

What is "boschi" exactly?

I'd like to ask the same question.
Though it looks like a great coin with a good developer who actually cares about the coin, and the website looks good too. I might actually mine this coin tonight.

Cheers!

Looks like a awesome coin. I believe in doing charity, since I will be walking across 4 states in 3 to 4 weeks.
I'm going to spread the word on crypto along the way. I hope Boschi can be one of those to help others.

Over the past few launches I have mined on, the pools don't connect at the beginning and there is just an overall bad job from the pools.

What pool was the first to register to launch boschicoin and how do i make sure that I get in on the first block mined by the community?

Over the past few launches I have mined on, the pools don't connect at the beginning and there is just an overall bad job from the pools.

What pool was the first to register to launch boschicoin and how do i make sure that I get in on the first block mined by the community?

Except official pools, at launch, pools must install and configure the wallet, which takes time. It's a race against the clock.  Smiley

Great point Litecoinbc,

Thankfully, we have a lot of pools set up now, and to ensure this does not happen we will release the source exactly 5 minutes before the launch to our pools.  All the luck, and happy mining!!!

(pools be ready and on stand by!)

2 Hours 16 Minutes to GO!!!

Thank you all,

Mirador,

You can definitely mine with your laptop, we as launchers ourselves did not set up rigs or any of the like, and we are using our simple PCs to do so, our goal is to get BoschiCoin out.  The rest is all for the supporters.

Wish you all the best, 2 Hours and 12 Minutes to Go!

I have a question. Which pools are official? And will you put the password on wallet and upload it here for a fair launch? Or it will be delayed for 5 minutes more like other coins?

Hey everyone. I want to be part of this launch but I have reservations. I was burned by the Zeitcoin launch... only a couple of the pools were actually ready to go at launch while the others either didn't have source code or didn't compile in time. Plus there was the 500 block chain stumble. smh

So anyway, I want to know what pools will be mining precisely at launch time, the first second of the launch? And is there a history of other successful launches with that pool team?

Other than that, I really like the idea of charitypools.

Cheers!

Hi Roadie and everyone,

We cant say for sure which pool will work exactly until launch in a few minutes.

The pools that are best accepted from everyone will be our official pools.

Thank you very much,
K,nak

Do you have an irc channel that we can go to also where are you going to post the link to the github on launch for source?

Hello C,

Why don't you reply to the thread that asks what pools will work?  I was going to ask the same thing but it was said so nicely....

I don't want to get burned by a bad pool.  Which pools have you vetted for strength and proper execuition?

You do understand that it is not possible for the developer to know before hand which pool will be great, which will be good and which will be not that good.

Although as a pool owner I would like to invite you to my pool, I believe that it is for your best interest to signup to all pools and check them occasionally.
Be aware tough: Spreading the hashrate is the key to support this coin (and the pools that are involved).

Having one huge pool that takes all the load could be harmful for the coin and the pool itself (if the load is enormous, the pool will go down, miners will migrate to another pool, other pools goes down and so on).

So, if you want my opinion, don't pick the pool with the most load, because if you come to think of it, your shares will give you less coins (since you're mining with many).

I hope I didn't confuse more, but that's how I see it (and what I would do if I was a miner without a pool). Being a miner with a pool, it goes without thought that I will mine to my pool Smiley

Only about 1000 had been test mined and will all be used as giveaways for the first 100 BCC wallet addresses (10x100).

How do you know what the first 100 wallets are?

do we just post here?

http://Boshi.pools.mindfox.net
Payment type: PPLNS
Pool Fees: 0%

Pre-register now and get ready for the launch

Settings for Stratum:
STRATUM:   stratum+tcp://stratum.boshi.pools.mindfox.net
PORT:   3343
Username:   Weblogin.Worker
Password:   Worker Password

If you use a command-line miner, type:

./cgminer --scrypt  -o stratum+tcp://stratum.boshi.pools.mindfox.net:3343 -u Weblogin.Worker -p Worker password
I would also like to grab the opportunity to warn (so there's no misunderstanding) that because pools need to compile the linux wallet, there will be a small delay till wallet gets compiled and settings that are dependent on it (like wallet address for example) be inserted into pool's software.

At least that's what will happen to my pool so I don't speak on behalf of the rest of the pools...

Thanks for all the answers. Are any pools getting source a few mins early so they can compile before launch?

It seems that pools should be the most trusted partners to ensure a coins success at launch. In an ideal world.

EDIT: NM. I just saw the link to the source posted.

CharityMiningPools - Donate to Charity while you Mine!

bcc.charityminingpools.com - NOW ONLINE!

Come mine while making a difference.

Mandatory 0.5% donation fee goes to the BitGive Foundation this month.  We welcome and encourage you to donate more to a good cause.

SSL, STRATUM, VARDIFF, Datacenter Redundant Server Farm, Load Balanced Servers, Frequent Backups
0.5% Mandatory Donation fee to a Good Cause, 0.5% Pool Fee, 0% AP TX Fees

Cheers!

http://bcc.minercorp.net was the first or second pool up.
Diff was already 14 though  Tongue
Seems as if some people are renting rigs for this, and hopefully not the devs.
scam, fail, scam, fail, blah blah

1/20 coins get a "fair" launch, and they don't always succeed.  Nowadays it's best to mine 3-4 days after launch because of rented rigs.

Hello Everyone,

Thanks for Jumping in so early, please understand that nodes are being created as we speak!

So if there are transaction difficulties it is because of the load, but no worries.

It is even hard to respond here due to the traffic amount.

Thank you for your patience!.

no KGW big fail, diff retarget is too fast

Kimoto's Gravity Well is why the Current difficulty is 14.65

wasn't KWG supposed to keeps the diff low for a high number of block and then rise the diff after it?

if that is not KWG then that algo diff is a fail

diff should never shoot like that at the start, is just bad

http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/21730/how-does-the-kimoto-gravity-well-regulate-difficulty

It's adjust according to the amount of hash throw at it. If only two people were trying to mine it the difficulty would go up slowly but when you got a shit load of people and some GPU farms and rented rig and they think they can instramine it the KGW stops it from happening. It is working the way it was intended to. Which is to stop big farms and big rigs from taking all of the coins. Why do you think the Ruby Coin launch went to difficult 100 so fast or any other coins? Any coin that uses KGW will make the difficult shoot to the moon according to the amount of hash thrown at it. It like if you see KGW it would be a waste to point a rented rig at it.

We are up and running for about 10 minutes. I was caught by surprise with the Mega download and had to install unrar to linux server and also install WinSCP to be able to upload the source rar file (I was waiting for the source to go up to github and lost about 15 mins while doing that).

I apologize to every miner that didn't have the chance to start right away to my pool. The pool is now fully functional and I'll be on top in case we need to rectify any coin's or stratum's glitches (with the GW we can't be careful enough Smiley )

then it is not what i thought

a good diff algo, imho should be like this

low diff at the start for the first 100 blocks(random number, just for an example) and then rising slowly based on hash, but at the start it should remain low no matter the hash, in this way everyone can mine something

GPU farms and rented rigs ARE taking all the coins NOW, think i'll come back when diff hits 10 or something, this makes no sense atm. Screw this shit.

Great launch. It was fair and better than other coins. Good thing is that devps added KGW so that early miners will have the same advantage as late miners. And its a great advantage for CPU users too. I am mining it now.

CharityMiningPools - Donate to Charity while you Mine!

bcc.charityminingpools.com - NOW ONLINE!

1 Block Found, many more to come!

Cheers!
CharityMiningPools

Did anyone managed to get solomining on windows work? Smiley

Even if you can it's the same, forget about it:
{
"blocks" : 30,
"currentblocksize" : 1000,
"currentblocktx" : 0,
"difficulty" : 58.57427153,
"errors" : "",
"generate" : false,
"genproclimit" : -1,
"hashespersec" : 0,
"networkhashps" : 19998986,
"pooledtx" : 0,
"testnet" : false
}

is this correct?  block 30 diff = 58.75?

what block is it on now... missed this launch forgot about it.

then it is not what i thought

a good diff algo, imho should be like this

low diff at the start for the first 100 blocks(random number, just for an example) and then rising slowly based on hash, but at the start it should remain low no matter the hash, in this way everyone can mine something

If you have it go 100 block then kick in you would have people crying the dev is instamining it or the pool or instamining it or a GPU farm is instamining it.

The difficulty just dropped down to 14 so a GPU farm left or some rented rigs left. Well, now it's back up to 48.

Code:
{
"blocks" : 33,
"currentblocksize" : 0,
"currentblocktx" : 0,
"difficulty" : 14.64356788,
"errors" : "",
"generate" : false,
"genproclimit" : -1,
"hashespersec" : 0,
"networkhashps" : 5492255,
"pooledtx" : 0,
"testnet" : false
}

{
"blocks" : 34,
"currentblocksize" : 0,
"currentblocktx" : 0,
"difficulty" : 48.81194975,
"errors" : "",
"generate" : false,
"genproclimit" : -1,
"hashespersec" : 0,
"networkhashps" : 18856274,
"pooledtx" : 0,
"testnet" : false
}

What planet are you from, gpu farms and rented rigs are killing this coin atm. Horrible launch. Nothing for the little guys. What a downer this crap was.

with the current setup KWG is anti small farm, farm with 3 mega or less, don't get anything, this algo is only good with whale farm, which is not good imho

instamine is good if EVERYONE is instamining it, first 1k block should have always a low diff imho

CharityMiningPools - Donate to Charity while you Mine!

bcc.charityminingpools.com

Come mine while making a difference.

Mandatory 0.5% donation fee goes to the BitGive Foundation this month.  We welcome and encourage you to donate more to a good cause.

SSL, STRATUM, VARDIFF, Datacenter Redundant Server Farm, Load Balanced Servers, Frequent Backups
0.5% Mandatory Donation fee to a Good Cause, 0.5% Pool Fee, 0% AP TX Fees

Cheers!

Hmmm KGW kicks in nicely. Diffs between 8 and 58 in rapid sessions.
Good to see how large farms goes on and off. Probably we'll see a rise soon as people are aware it's still possible.

I think this one was a good launch. Congrats, dev.

then it is not what i thought

a good diff algo, imho should be like this

low diff at the start for the first 100 blocks(random number, just for an example) and then rising slowly based on hash, but at the start it should remain low no matter the hash, in this way everyone can mine something

If you have it go 100 block then kick in you would have people crying the dev is instamining it or the pool or instamining it or a GPU farm is instamining it.

The difficulty just dropped down to 14 so a GPU farm left or some rented rigs left. Well, now it's back up to 48.

Code:
{
"blocks" : 33,
"currentblocksize" : 0,
"currentblocktx" : 0,
"difficulty" : 14.64356788,
"errors" : "",
"generate" : false,
"genproclimit" : -1,
"hashespersec" : 0,
"networkhashps" : 5492255,
"pooledtx" : 0,
"testnet" : false
}

{
"blocks" : 34,
"currentblocksize" : 0,
"currentblocktx" : 0,
"difficulty" : 48.81194975,
"errors" : "",
"generate" : false,
"genproclimit" : -1,
"hashespersec" : 0,
"networkhashps" : 18856274,
"pooledtx" : 0,
"testnet" : false
}

with the current setup KWG is anti small farm, farm with 3 mega or less, don't get anything, this algo is only good with whale farm, which is not good imho

instamine is good if EVERYONE is instamining it, first 1k block should have always a low diff imho

I think coins specs were written at first page of this thread.. so if this coin doesnt suit you and you would better see it with 1k "instamineable" blocks, why you mine it at all?

I like this fast diff retargeting much better.. who trusts in this coin, mines it. What is difference you will have less coins? Then price will be higher obviously.. if there would lets say 5% of all coins thrown out during first day, then only dumps and dumps and dumps would follow which would kill coin.. and yes, you instaminers would probably come better out of this, but it would be just get rich quick scheme for few instaminers and that is all.. with this KWG coin can grow. Who likes it, mines it, who doesnt like it, dont mine it.. simple, no?

All pools seem to be reporting a non-valid net hashrate thanks to the fact none of them have sufficient nodes connected.
(Just see how pool-hashrate reports over net-hashrate almost everywhere)

Unless -ALL- pools update their boschicoin.conf with at least 5 nodes, and -RESTART- their wallets - this is not going to work.

You can expect pools to fork within an hour or so. Speaking from experience.

See duplicates above. Looks really professional ;*)

Also, looks like there are no ip addresses of pools in there, at least, none that i could match so far.
Since pools will be the main part of the network at this point, thus, producing the most part of data on the chain, pool ip's are most important to add as nodes.
As with any launch - by the way.

Speaking from experience.

not only pools..
I was just trying to find out hash rate from wallet, updated it with all those nodes (like 20 of them) and yet is is reporting me 45629847, meaning about 45 mhps.. lol

perhaps you connected to our pool http://bcc.vkter.com ,we found 6 blocks with only 45m hash  Grin

and what's the obsession in using IRC to get the node list?

Code:
static const char *strDNSSeed[][2] = {
    {"127.0.0.1", "127.0.0.1"},
};

 Shocked

Same here

Make sure to add the following node as well;

Code:
addnode=149.210.166.111

And, since this wallet does not support the addnode rpc method, restart your wallet afterwards.

Just got back home and saw that there are only 50 blocks mined. Looks like I haven't missed much.. Glad that it wasn't instamined like many other coins.
Boschi all the way.

Unless you control a gpu farm or have rented some massive hashpower, this coin isn't for you. Nothing to see here, move along. Epic failure launch. Pathetic  Shocked

The countdown starts now. The BCC-QT and site will launch on Monday 03/03/14  9:00PM GMT+0 for us and all of you to start mining.  Only about 1000 had been test mined and will all be used as giveaways for the first 100 BCC wallet addresses (10x100).

I'd prefer 1000 x 0.1 because 10 of them are pretty much...

must the transaction fee be 0.1 BCC, considering block reward is 84?
