Not like AUR at all. No national ids mean no fraud prevention on multiple claims.

None that I know of. I'm watching for coins from countries that have national ids and a smallish population.

I know one, it came out waaay before any of those copy cats. It has even better design than those two. It will hit cryptorush when I withdraw 0.09 btc from that exchange.

Take a look:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=464375.0

It is a very nice idea behind this coin, you should definitely mine it. Much profit, many wow.

@T.K.

You were right all this time, it was only a matter of time. They stole your idea! Sue them.  Grin

Are you sure it is conjunction with the "government"?  Lakota Nation has 30,000 extremely poor Indians, many without smart phones or internet.  Not sure why the tribe elders would officially back a coin.  They are more concerned with basic needs.  The following websites aren't much as the Lakota are few and not so wired.

This is the Lakota government website. http://www.oglalalakotanation.org/oln/Home.html

This is the newspaper http://www.lakotacountrytimes.com/

The radio station http://www.kiliradio.org/

No mention of Maza anywhere.  I am all for the Indians having a coin, I want them too.   But these pseudo official coins which aren't official at all to me just hurt cryptocurrencies more than they help.  Can anyone explain why it is not just another pump and dump by a creator, just with the sham of attaching a "people" to it.

MyFarm, I thought you are a true believer in AUR coin

It seems that all you try to do is to create a hype pump and dump. quite disappointing as I REALLY believe that Auroracoin can bring a change to the Cryptocurrency world

I DO love Auroracoin.  I also love the idea of Mazacoin.  I love the idea of any cryptocurrency becoming widely adopted by any nation.  The sooner that happens, whether it be in Iceland, the Lakota nation, or elsewhere, the sooner we can begin to enact real change in this world.  I don't own much of either coin (most of my money is in Darkcoin right now), this is more a political/moral thing for me.  I like Mazacoin a little more than Auroracoin from the perspective that the Lakota people are EXTREMELY poor and a valuable cryptocurrency could completely change their world.  But believe me, I still very much support Auroracoin Smiley

If people there are extremely poor, they gonna buy some 290x to mine it... ?

Yes it's legit. It's official.

We need a Mazacoin thread from the official Dev. Someone tell him. It will greatly help coin value and rep.
As  trader I need to see a thread at BCT Smiley so I can write about price projections!!! heh

Well..... a twitter feed doesn't make something official.  If I could see it on the official Lakota website, that would be a more reliable source.  The most "reliable" source is this article from Forbes, an outlet I can trust.  And while the article says "an agreement" was signed, it doesn't exactly say what it was and also goes on to mention that tribal elders have made no comment.  If the tribal elders had really made this the "official" currency, wouldn't it be on their government website and wouldn't they have a comment? http://www.forbes.com/sites/jasperhamill/2014/02/27/the-battle-of-little-bitcoin-native-american-tribe-launches-its-own-cryptocurrency/

Just to preempt things, before somebody posts a wikipedia link or facebook link, those don't really make it "official" either.
