Who said that Cryptsy will take it up? I hope these are not just rumors.
Rumors? There are no rumors that Cryptsy will take it up. It is an expectation that they will.

Nah, now when cryptocrush and mintpal prices got aproximaly similar, there will not be atleast these dumpers of arbitrage anymore, the price will go up nicely to the sky. And volume isn't such big yet, just over 1k BTC. If you remember, mint was over 3k BTC, so MZC has much more room for skyrocketing, because it is not pumping big yet, but it will.

Over 1000BTC 24h volume and in the top 10 on coinmarketcap... If you think Big Vern and co wouldn't want their noodly appendages in that pie you are naïve.
I'm glad to have gotten some under 1000 satoshi, and even just the BTC I could spare from a few weeks mining that I put into MZC is now worth more than any other coin holding I have.
I am tempted to sell now, but I will be waiting for it to hit cryptsy and watching it double again. The mental barriers for "how high can a national sovereign crypto go and how quick?" (even though MZC and AUR aren't truly national currencies, that's what the people buying will and have believed) are well and truly down. People have seen aurora rocket to #2 and 1bn on the same premise that MZC has, and I have a strong belief they will buy it all the way to tens of millions of market cap.
The biggest mistakes I have made in crypto have all been based around assuming people won't buy dumb things. DOGE is an example of this.

Many differences between AUR and MZC. Cryptocurrencies are illegal in Iceland. Only 100K AUR are floated. MZC breaches the legal hurdle, however at least 40 million MZC are floated.

Cryptocurrencies are illegal in Iceland They're not actually illegal per se. Anyone can trade cryptocurrencies till the cows come home. It's a bit like the China situation - i.e. they have capital controls and to the extent to which cryptocurrencies are used to breach those capital controls, that activity would be illegal. For example you bought bitcoin with Icelandic Krona (ISK), made bitcoin gains from trading against doge, and cash those gains out into USD. You've now breached the Icelandic capital controls because you've basically used Bitcoin as a vehicle to convert ISK to USD which is not allowed.

Well said, I believe the awareness of Maza will continue and this is a revolutionary alt-coin that can actually have an impact and benefit the community. Plus I like to see the transparency and a great development team who are committed and actually have validation in the Lakota's. This currency will be adopted and have great success and imo is way better than AUR; as we're going to see a downfall of that coin and many people invest in this foundation. Strong hands never sell and I'm holding because I believe in this coin among many others .

While I agree with this, the buyers typically aren't that astute. They will just see it as AUR MK2. I can all but guarantee most of those buying won't know anything beyond "it went up because its going to be a national currency", however false that may be. China never truly banned BTC and watch how it sparked panic. There are plenty of different alts I find do LTCs job much better than LTC does, but it had the advantage of being first. And in the current crypto environment first typically goes further as people are hesitant having seen the brutal crash at the top of the first rise. This plays into MZCs favour as people will have the mental "top price" barrier for MZC as much higher than it truly should be were it any other altcoin. I would not be surprised for 0.0005 on cryptsy launch.

I'm interested to see what will happen with the coin. Already a lot of activity and it isn't even on Cryptsy. The thought of indians owning ASIC miners is funny though. But they own casinos and get free money. Mining is right up their alley! But seriously, it would be awesome if this coin helped all the indians the US govmt fucked over

Coins like Doge and Vert made it obvious that a coin can fly if its got a dedicated community. Almost every new coin out there struggles to build a community and the old favorites fight to keep people interested. . . Aurora took off because its pretty much got a guaranteed community of close knit, politically dissenting enthusiasts by inception (assuming the airdrop works). MZC has definitely got all that too (again assuming its dispersed to the people from the premine). The Lakotas are also in the belly of the beast in America. Dissent concerning environment and liberty is often championed by natives because of their treaties and sovereign status. Just look how many natives and non-natives were all supporting "Idle no more". Protestors back the natives because the tribes often have the best legal positioning to fight tar sands, pipelines, fracking etc. . . Dissenters also love Iceland because they told the banks to screw off.
Buying MZC is a protest vote (or at least perceived as such) against corporate destruction and banking tyranny. Go Maza!

Surely this will be trend setting. Is there a website which keeps track of relatively new and exciting coins (for example, with a strong community)? I want to catch the next native coin closer to release, i.e. before it makes it to coinmarketcap.

You are still at a massive advantage if you buy in before $0.50. Eyes are on $1 short term, $6 - $7 long term. If we get the sort of attention that auroracoin received then this is entirely possible. I bet you that just about every other sha-256 miner is pointed at mazacoin right now. My only regret is that I didn't buy more when they were still 3800

can someone confirm that a respected elder/chief of the Lakota's has confirmed this to be their official currency? I dont mean some member of the tribe or a few members, is there real confirmation from the chief?
No clue. The fact the coin was hidding for so long (i missed it :-( ) is a positive thing in my eyes. Pitty i bought arround 11000 and 14000. Going nowhere for now.
