Hello everyone. I’ve decided to create this topic because it concerns all of us. It is not just a complaint, I write how we can remove multi accounts in bounty. But I need your help!

At long last, I am able to say that bots are getting more and more. I have been in bounty for 3 months but I’m fed up with it. In some projects, there are 500-600 bots, sometimes 1000-2000 ones, but one person surprised me, he had about 4000 accounts in Facebook campaign. If I’m not mistaken the project name is Blockonomics, but bounty manager has guessed about it and delete all these accounts from social campaign.  One of the easiest ways to find multi accounts is questions in telegram groups. There are too many people who ask about KYC. We all know who ask this question.

I offer this basic thing: All newly registered people have to pass KYC. The existing accounts also have to pass KYC, for these ones they will have only 1 month to pass it. If they don’t pass KYC within this month, the administration will suspend accounts until they are verified. Everyone will need to take a selfie with a passport and a piece of paper, where they need to write their bitcointalk profile username and today’s date. In the background should be a monitor with the open website on their profile. In my opinion, this simple verification can remove multi accounts in bounty.

As of seriousness of my intention, I am ready to create a spreadsheet, where anyone who supports this idea can register via a google form. I think if the administration sees a lot of people in this spreadsheet they will realize this idea.

If we don’t do it now, bounty companies will die for us in the future. Everyday bots are getting more and more but payments do not increase. They participate not only in social companies like FB and twitter, but in Blog&Media campaigns too. On the average bounty fund is 200-300 thousands of dollars in ICO price. For example for FB and twitter companies allocate about 30 % from all bounty fund. But there is no sense to participate in these companies because of multi accounts. People get much less money than they should actually receive. That is why in the future we will give up bounty, but these ones will get all this money.

I have published this topic in Russian local. If you can translate this topic and publish it in others locals, please do it.

If the administration will support this idea, I can help them with verification. I think there are enough people, who will help with it if it is necessary.

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

People will certainly not pass a KYC to join a forum. There are also bags of people that do not join any ICO promotion and asking for KYC is completely absurd for the most. Besides, we would be creating the biggest world database of users that are crypto related, with personal data which would eventually fall into the wrong hands and generate, as Trump would say, "a really bad situation".

It’s the eternal fight between freedom and anonymity vs control and restrictions. KYC will never win the fight here.

This shit again? Don't worry, theymos is working on it.

I'll get right on that, just as soon as hell freezes over.

I wouldn't trust this forum with any KYC documents, nor would I provide any forum with identity documents.  They're not entrusted with any of my money and aren't required to know their "customers", so there's no reason for it.  And as stated, Theymos isn't going to go this route.

Seems like OP likes to waste his own time by suggesting ideas he could have read were already rejected.  He's going on ignore.

What OP is asking is to go to the total opposite side of why bitcoin was created in the first place, to make secure, easy and anonymous payments without the need of a central authority.
Yep, there's that too.  It would be extremely ironic if the only forum I could think of that required KYC documents was a forum dealing with bitcoin.  Then you'd know the world had been turned on its head.  Props to Theymos for not even considering it.

For me, OP wasted his time with that long ass post.
Edit:  That's what I'm talking about.

no chance this is going to happen!
if this forum starts requiring KYC, there will be less active users here
then the forum will be dying which leads to less and less bounty companies use this forum
so the side effect of bounty companies dying will still be happening and KYC is the cause of it (not a solution)

This is a forum for discussions about Bitcoin and we all know bitcoin is all for privacy. Advocating some KYC shit won't even be considered. For me, OP wasted his time with that long ass post.

if this forum will need to be pass by kyc then a lot of users will disappointed. one reasons is kyc needs a lot of time to check and some people will be frustrated for the wait. you cant guarantee that kyc will be the solution for those multi accounts.

I think KYC is a bit too much for an online forum and people will stop registering here. I agree with theymos decision not to go forward with it.

On the other hand this is a big problem and some people (campaign managers) addressed it by creating lists of people "banned" from campaigns for example:

You can find more lists like this one if you search though the forum, this can be a solution to the spam generated by bots.

OP, what you want to achieve is appreciable but the route you suggest does not match with the basics of this forum or crypto. There are other ways to spot these bots and spammers in bounties and KYC will affect genuine uses also.
