Ty for the updates devs, keep up the great work I have some free time later I will come up with some suggestions for future science charity. Even though this coin isn't easy to mine a lot of, I'm lovin it!

That great, looking forward to seeing what suggestions you and the community come up with!

Need better pools. All pools are either unreliable or have less than 10 miners.

Is Suprnova that Bad??

pool disconnects a lot.

Which Stratum are u using ? us-emc2 ?

I am using emc2 only

And you are STILL getting disconnects ? We had a DDoS before on that stratum which is fixed/blocked now, that was why we started a second stratum @ us-emc2 but meanwhile everything should be also fine with the old one.

stable for an hour let's see for how long more.

Yes, actually I would describe it as "horrible". Constant disconnects... waste of electricity.

Why not join our Pool ?

https://emc.maxminers.net

Its 0.5 % Fee, with the latest Einsteinium Code and all the normal goodies like Vdiff, Stratum ...

Help the network, join our Pool, we already found Blocks and payed out well, you'll get larger payouts
in a smaller pool, get in !

Because you only have 5 miners.

The new one doesn't work either. Tried on 2 separate mining machines. Also it doesn't appear that the old one is even listed on the site anymore.

As already mentioned, we were under a DDoS Attack before which is now mitigated. For your comfort we also set up a second stratum which has no problems at all, you can try either of them and stay with the one which fits better. You can also use both stratums in load-balancing or failover setting in cgminer (use -o twice):

cgminer -o stratum+tcp://emc2.suprnova.cc:3366 -u user.workername -p workerpass  -o stratum+tcp://us-emc2.suprnova.cc:3366 -u user.workername -p workerpass

Currently we're pointing to the new stratum, thats correct.

Can you explain "doesn't work" a bit ? It does not connect at all.. It gives an auth error ?

We currently have 1 GH in the Pool, so I doubt its a general problem but we'll find out for sure.

We currently have 1 GH in the Pool, so I doubt its a general problem but we'll find out for sure.

Sorry, I know how annoying it can be when a customer just says "it won't work" without giving any details.

After I set up the stratum in cgminer it showed as "dead" for about 10 minutes. I double checked worker names, passwords, stratum, etc. Entered it in twice just in case it was user error (with copy/paste). After 10 minutes it showed as "alive" so I switched to it and attempted to mine. I got about 10 accepted shares when cgminer suddenly complained that the pool was offline, and it was switching to my backup. It came back up after about 5 minutes and again went down after 2 or 3. Rather than babysit an unstable pool I went elsewhere. Regardless of the reason for the instability, I just don't have time to deal with it. I don't sit in front of my miner all day making sure the pools are stable. I do understand it's a pain in the ass to run a pool, and that's why I always donate at least a small amount. It's also why I have no trouble paying fees but at the same time I have high standards in that I expect the pool to be available at least 95% of the time.

I had trouble with hashrapid too, which is why I was trying to find another one. That pool seemed to be working fine, and was giving decent payouts, but the sharerate was ALL over the map. Up and down, up and down. I didn't feel I was getting the best efficiency.

I'm quick to judge when it comes to pools. I've been screwed over way too many times by incompetent pool operators, so usually at the first sign of trouble I tend to be a little harsh and critical.

Thanks for your explanation.

I've pointed a few of my miners to emc2.suprnova and us-emc2.suprnova now trying to reproduce the error, been running since about 10 minutes on both without a hiccup.

It is always very important to set back-up pools in cgminer as there are many situations where a stratum server can go bogus, especially with those DDoS attacks here in the last weeks.

I'll keep you informed if anything comes to my attention and fix it accordingly.
