Biggest gains by 2020? You will be lucky if these coins are still around by 2020. If I were you, I'd get your money out of EOS and fast. A lot of newbies fell for the EOS hype, that's why almost everyone that holds EOS are people that joined crypto in 2017. There are almost 0 tenured crypto users that bought any EOS, because it is an obvious cash grab/scam. dPOS doesn't work, and EOS has already had a slew of problems. Even the huge day one issue when they had to pause the blockchain. EOS is not a cryptocurrency, as it doesn't have the three foundational pillars of crypto. Which are:

Immutability
Censorship resistance
decentralization

EOS has none of these, as the blockchain has already been rolled back, the BPs have the ability to freeze wallets, and there are only 21 BPs so no decentralization. Also, why did the EOS team need $4 Billion dollars for the ICO? Last time I checked Bitcoin required $0 to be developed and launched. Obvious cash grab.

EOS has far too many flaws for it to be a functional cryptocurrency. It has been slowly bleeding out and it will continue to do so. The only coins truly worth holding are the ones that have withstood the test of time and the ones that hold merit.

The three picks should be Ethereum, Litecoin, and Monero.
Ethereum is worth holding because it has the largest amount of developers working on the platform, and Sharding is cutting edge blockchain technology for true on chain scaling. Once this goes live, Ethereum will do great. Very large hashrate, insanely high tx/day count (good network activity) and it has always been the #2 coin (for the most part), and I don't see this changing anytime soon.

Litecoin is worth holding because it is the second cryptocurrency ever made. It is digital silver (much like how Bitcoin is digital gold) and Litecoin can double as a testbed for Bitcoin upgrades, as the code is identical for both coins. Segwit went live on Litecoin nearly a year before it did on Bitcoin.

Monero is worthing holding because it is one of the oldest privacy coins, and one of the only privacy coins that actually work. Most other privacy coins have flaws in the way the coins are anonymized, and with a great amount of scrutiny, the coins could be traced.

Sooner or later a cleanup will be done in the market and projects without a real use should fade. Competition is good but an absurd amount of tokens have been created that will deliver nothing, the hype over ico's is great, it's still going to be a while until this fever goes away.

The only thing that worried me a little about Matrix was that back during it's ICO, I took a screen shot of one of their promotional video, because it was so high quality, and did a Google image search, and found that it also belong to an unrelated video, with the actors using the same AI powered house or something. I stand on this lane as well. Looking at so many factors that makes NEO tick as a smart contract platform and for the fact that it would be like an Ethereum in the Asian territory the most with some pretty good support, I believe this would be a very good and advantageous coin to hold for the long term.

A lot of people have been a little bit skeptic for a while in investing in EOS for the long term but I still believe in a way that it would still have a lot to come for it in the long run, despite all the whole issues with centralization or thereabout. Bitcoin hard forks are not joke and scam thing to me because they're created to have a purpose and I bought Bitcoin Cash a month after the split while it's cheaper and now they're stable and pumping.

For me XTRABYTES (XBY) and Spectrecoin (XSPEC) have big potential for huge gains by 2020, both are still in full development and are not just clones of existing coins. XTRABYTES is developping a secure, superfast codeagnostic platform that will solve the know problems of scalability and centralisation thanks to their newly developped Posign consensus algorithm. Spectrecoin is is highly anonymous coin that offers THOR and OBFS4 support as well as stealthstaking, they are the only coin that has successfully bypassed the great firewall of China.
Both dev team are very active and competent and both have a real chance of making a difference in the blockchain market. Both coins are still flying under the radar because they are not spending huge amounts of money on marketing at the moment, they are both focussing on getting their tech right in stead of relying on hollow marketing promisses like a lot other coins out their. If you have the time and patience to let these team do their work you are in for some very nice returns on your investment.

By 2020, I think, both privacy and Proof of Stake will earn more popularity. And in the intersection of the two there are only a few coins, like XSPEC and CLOAK for example. I have invested in both. I am however somewhat more excited about XSPEC at the moment for two reasons. One is the new development team with stable funding, and the other is the soon to come tech of stealth staking, which will increase the privacy of the whole network a lot. Besides, the currently very low market cap of the coin can be inflated easily once we enter a bull cycle again.

For me, MAN coin, NEO coin and EOS coin prices have fallen too far from the original and have hardly recovered as old values. Bitcoin's price went down seem to have caused many Altcoins to lost heavily.

In my opinion, you should hold eth now. The dong is currently very low and I believe that in the near future it is likely that by the end of 2018 the market will rebound.

Buying and holding Eth is a very good option. I consider it to be the mini version of Bitcoin. It is reliable when it comes to transactions and low transactions fees. And as far as I am concerned, bitcoin and Eth are the best coins for me. Therefore, the best time to buy these coins are now or never. The bitcoin price is beginning to grow. We can see $7k being reached and it is growing. I am really happy for this and I hope it will continue to increase.

we are free to analyze the market in the next 3 years but the reality sometimes turns the same as now in the past year many say the ETH will arrive at the price of XXX but in fact the price fell even slumped maybe this is a price thrend to take a breath so that thrend will then turn around because I still hopes that last year's analysis for ETH and BTC will occur at the end of this year

IMHO it is better to invest in cryptocurrencies with own chain. For example right now I look through such cryptocurrencies as Holo, Ontology, Fantom, Zilliqa. I will think about buying them in the middle of the next year.

Ethereum could easily be surpassed by a competitor by 2020. I don't think it is unwise to invest in some of those competitors (like NEO and EOS), but you should probably also hold a bit of ETH. (just in case )

in any case new platform, competitors eth can develop only due to ico companies. but the fact that the market ico company to date, very fell because quite a lot of fraudulent projects that in turn deters investors. thus eth will leave the right to be called a leader in the market.

Stellar, Cardano and IOTA can be a good choice for me as this will become huge in 2 years span. I just hope that the market will make a bullish and ends this blooded months.

Very good alts, I agree with you in NEO, even though we are seeing a decline as in the entire market, I think that in 2020 China will have its problem with cryptos fixed and neo will be one of the pioneering currencies in that hemisphere, that is extremely profitable for all investors, so I think that year will be their year.

As the years pass, many altcoins will go down regulations will take their place and only those legitimate and deserving platforms will remain.
I believe this will help the crypto industry be stronger and more stable specially if those remaining coins will do their role in real life because its very long time and no one can predict when any new game changer can join this community and can steal all but until now we can say NEO, Cardona, Litecoin and XRP are in good shape.

I agree if eos is an altcoin that has a good future in 2019-2020, I doubt Neo and Matrix can be the best altcoins by 2020, I think Neo and its growth matrix will be slow and not so strong, I think Tron is much more potential from Neo and Matrics
