Scam alert!

NeoBlack Miner
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4989277.0

Easiest way to get rid of these is to get rid of self moderated topics.

i think that just moderator should lock somehow such topics and let people(opener of topic) provide evidence that this miner is real and legit .And only after thatt let them open up such topic (ANN miner ) etc. Think this is easiest way to do this...

Well, if there were active Mods, that would be true.  I have reported “rules” violations before and nothing got done.  I’ve been on other SMF forums, and the Mods were like vultures.  But since Mods donate their time, it’s a thankless job.

I am pretty sure there would be plenty of people that can do this and has the reputation to do it. All kind of hero members can apply for example for such thing and if there are 10 mods , each one putting 30mins / 1 hour of their time = enough time . Also they can discuss and accept such topics like I mentioned , to have some kind of inner voting between them for example..

Basically if you see a thread with a new miner and 30 new accounts just posted saying "good job dev" or some crap like this it means it's a scam miner STAY AWAY

I agree with the OP 100%.

Mining is in such a sh*t state right now, even if a legit miner came through with no dev fee, the extra 1 or 2% you might make will not make any meaningful difference, especially when you consider they are most likely a scam.

This is the time to be securing your coins and planning to hold on tight for the foreseeable future and not try to eek out a few extra cents by risking your machines and/or coins to some scammer. The get rich overnight days have come and gone and now getting rich is going to require a lot of patience as well as vigilance in making sure any coins you do have stay safe.

Mining is not sh*t as long as it is legal because it can still produce a profit even though it is small but it is still a profit . better to earn something than nothing .

however online mining or cloud mining are all scams . thats why i wouldnt recomend it to anyone because ive been scammed by them many times before and now even the popular and oldest one like hashflare and genesis mining are slowly getting turned into a scam . so beware guys.

Yep I got scammed by one of these miners, I was stupid enough to run it.
They silently get access to all your files, can browse and download any of the files while you are unaware.
The way my home stuff is setup, I could at least see exactly which files they downloaded.
I could also see their IP Address: 77.220.212.78 from Netherlands.

I'm not going to list exactly what was taken, but yea so many people will risk giving full access to their computers just to try some new miner, blinded by mining profits.

After being a victim of so called cloud mining, it bring me great lesson I strive to build my own rig little by little from my small salary from job, until I reached my target of 30GPU miner, then I found also the reality that mining alts needs lots of job, researching, timing, moding and trading, and nowadays I saw that mining is not profitable and what the hell there's a lot of website offer mining with a certain percentage daily? I will tell you that ALL OF THIS OFFER IS INTEND TO SCAM PEOPLE.. How they can provide that such profit while in the real world of mining you can get only a liitle portion of profit? Now some website says that they are "GURU" in trade? even you are a guru, you can never handle the movement of the market? and you cannot also give a fix percentage daily to your investors.. That offers are SCAM, stay away.

For these phishing links is Cryptonite browser addon the best. They also start private ICO.

Bumping this thread; have noticed several posts questioning legitimacy of the EpoxMiner get deleted.

Just want to bring awareness to anyone considering testing the miner in this thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5027934.0

Miner beware; honestly, those speeds look much too good to be true, do not test on computers with sensitive information.

Dev should respond to posts about being a virus directly, and not just deleting, that looks shady. Also the fact that it's a self-moderated topic looks shady.

The "dev" does have more posts than the usual scammer though.
