What a news!

UK based trading platform eToro signed an advertising deal with 7 Premiere League Clubs and paid them in #Bitcoin for the first time. So Bitcoin just got the Man Of The Match award.

This is definitely not the first time cryptocurrency has been used on the sports industry, but it is probably the first time the athletes have actually been paid in bitcoin. No sure how many of them actually agreed to this decision, but I guess they had no choice in the end, trying to grab those news headlines at all costs.

I am currently working with an ICO called Bitgoals that will be working in-depth with the sporting industry, in fact they have recently been sponsoring a few international football matches, check em out on Google to learn more if you’re interested.

All these news gives some confidence to investors and may stabilize the market. Even though it is not the first-time bitcoin used in the sports industry but current down market all these news gives a boost investors confidence.

More and more people start using bitcoins apart from gambling industry then its demand may go up slowly and prices as well.

There have already been a few crypto sponsorship in the English Premier League.

Wolverhampton Wanders are sponsored by Coindeal: https://medium.com/@altcoinbuzz/cryptocurrency-exchange-now-sponsors-a-premier-league-team-502da68d0bc0

The logo is even on their shirt sleeves:

Arsenal were sponsored by CashBet:

https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2018/jan/24/arsenal-seals-major-sports-first-cryptocurrency-sponsorship-deal

An ICO even sponsored a few matches: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3117898.0

I'm sure it's only a matter of time before more companies start sponsoring teams. Maybe there will be one that sponsors the front of their shirt eventually. That would be very sweet.

These are some great news. Cryptocurrencies are being used in more and more industries and even in sports now. Looks like mass adoption is coming with huge steps.

This is the best news in my opinion, especially with it
This eToro UK-based trading platform will bring back fresh air for bitcoin, and hopefully this news will make bitcoin re-rise.

I really think this is fairly normal now, To really gain more investors and to advertise their coin they will surely make an advertisement base on a team or a player in the sports industry, Well there are many targets in this kind of field they are targeting normal viewers, gamblers, traders, sports analysis, Or even players themselves to get into the crypto business, I really think that there will be more and more sponsorship be given to some teams by a project involve in cryptocurrencies ICO.

great to hear this but i don't think there are the first or first time bitcoin is been used in sport, many sport company have been using bitcoin and so many have pair there tokens to bitcoin, example cashbet first betting platform which were able to have agreement with one of the best premier league club arsenal and also xwin is a casino company which have pair or promise to using bitcoin and cryptocurrency as a means of payment. we all have been hearing many rumour about bitcoin some even say bitcoin will be used as a miss of payment in word cup but to my greatest surprise from the beginning to the end of world cup nothing like this happens. so let try and always share news that are official to avoid spreading rumor.

Finally a positive news after all such dumps and crash period which was not getting over from a longer time period. This might be the reason which will boost the prices up shifting the momentum towards bitcoin and investors will feel more comfortable investing more in it. Btc and other cryptos were used as betting earlier also on sports but first time payments are being made to players which is great initiative and very good news for all of us. So hope for the best.

Additional info, eToro seven club - Tottenham, Brighton, Cardiff, Crystal Palace, Leicester, Newcastle, and Southampton. Arsenal accepted cashbet as a sponsor early 2018 and Cashdeal signs as official partner  of Wolves. So total nine club has known crypto. I wish they will accept crypto in their official store.

This is a good thing for Bitcoin when it comes to football. In the future, there will be many areas that know and accept bitcoin more, hope that will be good.

I've already seen crypto sponsorships with clubs but they were in the lower leagues.  Anyways this is great news, anything that helps cryptocurrency become more mainstream.  I don't think this will have any effect on the price of bitcoin in the near future though.

It looks like european football industry is looking at cryptocurrencies and the blockchain technology in a positive light. I read a few weeks ago that the UEFA was using a blockchain-based app to distribute tickets for the Super Cup match.

It's nice to see that they're embracing both cryptos and new technologies, hopefully, this will help the adoption phase to keep growing worldwide, who knows, maybe one day we'll see Bitcoin (or any other cryptocurrency) being used as a method of payment in the football world.

Football is a good place to promote bitcoin because many people will pay attention on it. I hope that this news will appear on tv and media, so more and more people will know about advantages of bitcoin.

Very good news, with this it can be seen that bitcoin will be an alternative payment instrument other than the currency of the country, and will continue to grow, hopefully not only from the football sport that will use it, maybe the motto GP or f1, it is not impossible to happen, where a BMW-like company has started using bitcoin payments

This is an interesting news for crypto-currency but it needs time to spread the advantage of crypto-currency to many businesses and all users around the world especially in sports where the advertisement is easy to be connected to users.

This is really good news. When there are many areas in the world accept Bitcoin and electronic money. So the possibility of Bitcoin returning is evident when more people will invest in it. I am very happy that Bitcoin has come back.
