what he means is that BTC is a bad investment at 700
he wants cheaper coins
but it is true that in 10 years BTC will probably have been replaced by something else ... which does not mean btc owners lose money; maybe there will just be a new version of it.
u mean a hardfork of bitcoin?
More like a migration. Lets say the blockchain becomes too large, or a security flaw is exposed, or tainting becomes too much of an issue, whatever - then the community could agree that after block XYZ, the existing number of coins is simply moved onto a new blockchain of BTC 2.0. May be worth a separate thread, that.
About Buffett; remember that such wealth is ONLY possible with fiat. Only by using credit leverage, are the massive mountains of wealth possible that we observe today, in people like him and many others. Super-rich people love fiat.
If gold was money, there would also be rich and poor, but the differences would be much smaller. For example, borrowing large amounts of gold, to buy a company, then have the company pay off the loan or selling it in pieces, is not possible. That is how private equity firms AKA locusts operate. FIAT = LEVERAGE.
Or building rental properties, using fiat that is created by a bank from thin air, then having it paid off by tenants (= milk cows or rental slaves), is another example how fiat makes rich people richer.
Fiat currency is a horrible thing, it is modern slavery, period.
