I'm not sure how many of you follow him but that dude just dropped an album unexpectedly. While listening to it, I came across this song https://open.spotify.com/track/28FGV3ORH14MYORd7s5dlU?si=tqIkvUmtSLKMPLaNuvddDw Lyrics said,

Hey the extra positive attention in pop culture the better I say. People will be playing music for decades especially from popular artist, it's a nice reference for where bitcoin was at the time.

There's also a Bitcoin movie with Kurt Russell coming out.

Great. More publicity. *evil laugh*

Though it was just a very short mention, it's still significant knowing Eminem is one of the biggest names(if not the biggest) in the rap scene or hip-hop music in general. Hopefully this at least gets some of the Slim Shady fans curious.

It's on the song "Not Alike", and the words are actually said by Royce Da 5'9, rather than Eminem.

Though it was just a very short mention, it's still significant knowing Eminem is one of the biggest names(if not the biggest) in the rap scene or hip-hop music in general.

It's certainly becoming more mainstream, with references to Bitcoin and crypto popping up more and more in popular culture.

Still, I like this song better:

Looks well made both video-wise and lyrically and it definitely has a sick beat to it, but I'm not going to lie. That's cringy as hell.

Bitcoin here today, bitcoin there tomorrow; now bitcoin in a rap verse. I cannot wait to see a musical bitcoin/altcoin bounty campaign, that will be trilling you know? Expect more from bitcoin and the other cryptocurrencies.....

But it's featured on EM's album so it's still relevant to call it a Eminem song I guess.

It's certainly becoming more mainstream, with references to Bitcoin and crypto popping up more and more in popular culture.
That is only going to work in our favor, isn't it?

Here underground even does not smell for a long time. Eminem reached the level of MTV and remains there until now. The use of terms such as "bitcoin" in the songs, says only that he wants a piece of HYIP and does not disdain even such things. I don't like it, definitely.
Dude, what hype would be get by using bitcoin in his song? Like this thread has only 9 replies compared to other crappy ones.

I think we have already passed the stage where some famous mention the word Bitcoin would make everyone excited. We're hoping that these "celebrities" know exactly what Bitcoin is and are willing to put a large percentage of their savings in gold 2.0. Or use it as currency. Putting Bitcoin just as a "get rich quick" scheme would suck. But having as the "investment" of the cool guys might be good.

This is excellent news.   Eminem is hitting the target audience.  Bitcoin is growing at such an amazing pace.  This price seems so artificially low right now.  I'm almost all in at this point.

Its no big deal. Eminem isn't the first to mention bitcoin in his song! A lot of movies these days are scripted with Bitcoin being mention in almost every scene. Deals done here and there requiring bitcoin payment and all of that. A lot of celebrities these days wanna promote bitcoin. The currency is struggling because of politics, otherwise its actual worth at $30,000(my opinion) should be its trading price. The world is failing to see that bitcoin/ Digital currencies can end poverty if systematically adopted and the right regulatory framework put in place. Since it doesn't require government controlling the wages of people. So its time for every celebrity to preach and drive this message around, kudos however to Eminem's

Bitcoin is very famous already in that you are completely correct, but there are still many people that do not know anything about it and this kind of publicity is always good since a person hearing that song and that does not know what it is a bitcoin could look for it and then get interested in this market, in fact that is the way most people find new stuff.

Bitcoin will have color and will give new things in view of bitcoin. One hope that will bring good value to bitcoin.
Music will increasingly have value and work with companies that transact with bitcoin.

It means that this is a good sign because bitcoin is getting recognition and acknowledgement. It is also a new milestone since people might recognized bitcoin and might grew curiosity as to why eminem mention it.

I saw a lyric video of this song in Youtube and it's so cool Cheesy. Though I wasn't able to hear Eminem's vocals (due to copyright issues I guess), I'm still amazed because the beat was so awesome (I can't wait to download his new album). RapGod rocks.

Anyway, I don't think this news will create enough hype to cause pump in the market, but nevertheless, it feels good that crypto (bitcoin in this case) is now getting more popular than before Smiley.

Definitely another good endorsement from a high profile celebrity. Now this proves that Bitcoin is continuously gaining huge popularity around the globe. Something that skeptics should look into and may change their way of thinking about Bitcoin and/or cryptocurrency.

The mention on Eminem's album is significant however as it suggests not a get rich quick scheme nor a way to sell illicit goods online, but rather something that "everybody is doing" that it's as common as knowing you bite the metal coin to test its quality. It is not the first time that cryptocurrency finds its way into the rap world. Earlier this year, rapper Akon, who authored a total of twelve Billboard Top Ten Hits, has launched his own cryptocurrency intended for use in his “Akon Crypto City,”.Back in January, Curtis Jackson, better known as 50 Cent, was reported as owning millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin, after becoming the first rapper to have started accepting the cryptocurrency as payment for his fifth album “Animal Ambition.” Later, he denied owning any Bitcoin at court, with his lawyer reportedly saying that Jackson had “never owned, and does not own, a bitcoin account or any bitcoins.”

But it isn't about anyone mentioning it, it's EMINEM who's like a living legend and imagine what that would mean for bitcoin!

You're totally making sense here and I agree with you. However, the currency is not struggling because of politics but the banks! The root cause is the cash liquidated from bitcoin to fiat. If people could spend bitcoin online on a larger scale, I doubt they would ever involve banks.

Lol. Perhaps you didn't know how influential Eminem is. He is the "Rap God", so anyone listening to his song would be interested on what "Bitcoin" is. So the potential to go the next level is there and thanks to celebs like Eminem.

What? I don't see anything that Eminem had endorsed bitcoin, guys he just mentioned it so keep calm. Bitcoin popularity is dominating around the world though they're not using it but almost everyone is familiar with the name.

I know we're thirsty for some great news that will lift bitcoin so everything we hear is a big deal for us and it's fine but don't be blinded by this. Just keep our hopes and bitcoin will rise in time.

I doubt it is the first song. Like someone in the thread pointed it out there are other bitcoin songs as well. I don't know why people don't understand the fact that it doesn't matter who mentions it. On a side note, here is bitcoin being mentioned in The Family Guy : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qaro6F6YkZM

Some subliminal advertising for Bitcoin. Gazillions of people will sing and repeat those lyrics over and over again, until it gets imprinted in their brains. Next time they see Bitcoin, they remember the lyrics in that song and they might consider exploring the concept and even buying some bitcoins.

This is still my most favorite Bitcoin song! -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEBWtbhq0Ts  <She rocks my world>  Grin

Do not underestimate the power of music and the subliminal messages that are being imprinted in people's subconscious .  Grin

OMG, this is good news for the world music industry, we don't have to doubt Eminem's reputation as a musician, if he is able to insert bitcoin on his song, it will make the market more confident about the presence of bitcoin.

This is really interesting to hear that this pop singer is also mentioning bitcoin in its lyrics which means that it is also getting attention from the singers also and this will have a good impact on the market of bitcoin. Such tendency will increase the popularity of bitcoin.

It is pleasant to hear bitcoin mentioned by world class artist but more focus of the community should be on government policies and politics of member states.

Definitely beneficiai for the industry having such influential people even mention bitcoin. It would be good if we could have a few celebrity advocates for bitcoin and cryptocurrency that aren't just paid shills like McAfee.

Personally I think that the branding effect of these individuals could be a game changer for crypto if it was put to good use.

This means a lot to the market of crypto currency. This means that bitcoin is gradually getting popular to the people of the all walks of life and this means that bitcoin is getting popular day by day and if this continues then bitcoin will be more dominant in the market.

any form of news from celebrity is a good addition to the crypto community, haven't heard the song of Eminem as I don't like rap songs. This is a good free publicity and we all know how famous he is , and this could give somehow an impact to people who doesn't have any idea what btc is.

Yes, if anything, this only reassures us the stance Bitcoins taking upon gaining worldly exposure, being that it has made it's way seemingly into pop culture. Though, Im not sure whether this mention is either good news, or perhaps bad news for cryptocurrencies Huh Was it an outright bash against Bitcoin, or possibly an analogy to the recent change in economic "times", like the way we communicate and transact with fiat?

Very exciting to see Eminem hitting the younger generations and City kids.  I can see the youth getting on board and really pushing us over the edge.  It's all just a matter of time with Bitcoin going mainstream like it is.

It may not be that big deal after all. But at least it has gained a little step forward with a famous and respected artist mentioning it in his song. With a lot of followers, perhaps Eminem's making reference to Bitcoin will also give it a little promotion. People who are following the latest songs of this reputable artist might get finally curious as to the real deal of Bitcoin simply because their favorite artist made mention of it.

Though I wouldn't say that it is a revolutionary step but still steps like these will be eventually speeding up the process of mass adoption. Music is one of the globally acknowledged language and promoting or marketing cryptos and their usage through it will definitely help the community in the long run.

I recently heard another song which was shared in this forum. The song was entirely about Utilities of Bitcoin. Seems like people are getting interested to put such terms on their rap/r&b songs. If the situation keep persisting then we might be able to see mass adoption of cryptos sooner than we expected.

It does not matter where the bitcoin is remembered, the main thing is that he has tightly grown into our lives. Wherever we could possibly be encountered everywhere with the mention of bitcoin, it could be economy, politics, production, culture, etc.

                             https://media.giphy.com/media/lY1F6BJjbRO3m/giphy.gif

Though it was just a very short mention, it's still significant knowing Eminem is one of the biggest names(if not the biggest) in the rap scene or hip-hop music in general. Hopefully this at least gets some of the Slim Shady fans curious.
This will at least make a lot of people more aware about the whole topic and as they will see that their artist is mentioning it they will be more eager to buy it.

Is Eminem still that famous to the new generation?

I hope so. There was a time when his songs gets played every now and then on radios but music taste of newer generations aren't welcoming the old. If it sounds like you are trying too hard to get the new market, the musician would know their time had passed. But yes perhaps those who listens to him since 2000 might still be a fan.

Eminem is a great rapper. I like his songs, if he include bitcoin in his lyrics then it is a great advertisement. Many people would be sang it, then they will become aware of this kind of currency. Well, music is a great way to used to present cryptos in many people especially in the teenagers because they are the one who are always going to the trends especially in newly songs produced.

lol. yeah , that is also what im thinking about .  maybe whales did this because whales are planning to pump the market again in a different strategy .

if all rappers insert the word bitcoin on their lyrics then all thugs will be curious about that and get educated, then gangs staying in ghetto will be educated as well .

not only rappers but also other genres . i guess this is the start , soon all singers will also follow this idea if only they'v wanted to spread the word bitcoin .

So far as i am concern it is better hearing rap songs rather than vitas song. Lol.

rap songs are also better than kpop songs because we can always understand them properly but kpop is just too cringy . the sad part is that many people loves kpop even if they didnt understand it verry well .

This is a good impact for us, even the pop/rap singer is using Bitcoin for their positive kind of song. I think Eminem using Bitcoin too. Who knows? More and more celebrity is using Bitcoin and this is a good news of course.

Hey that's a positive news for all crypto users world wide, its an immense form of publicity, considering the fact that Eminem is one of the biggest musicians in the world,so him mentioned about bitcoin in his song serves like a sort of endorsement for the blockchain technology..

I remember the movie “dope” had bitcoin references. I like the idea of crypto in the mainstream for more exposure. I’m just waiting one day for it to end up trending on twitter for whatever reason.
Well bitcoin is slowly but surely becoming more mainstream, it is going to take a lot of time for that to happen but we are on the right track, the only thing that we need to do is to keep pushing businesses to accept bitcoin and to also expose the complete fraud that is fiat currency, once people understand this the adoption of bitcoin is going to grow significantly.

That was great , it will help others to discover bitcoin. I think that will be a positive for bitcoin because as you know many people leave bitcoin because they think that this will be the end. This will make them realize that they are wrong.

Very exciting to see Eminem hitting the younger generations and City kids.  I can see the youth getting on board and really pushing us over the edge.  It's all just a matter of time with Bitcoin going mainstream like it is.

Yeah I heard that too that's a good song from Eminem. That's great to know that many people like him that know about bitcoin or crypto and because of that many more people gonna have interest in bitcoin. I hope more artist like him will promote crypto so that many people will know more about bitcoin.

Cryptocurrencies are increasingly being mentioned in various songs. I think that this is evidence of popularity and in the future we can see a new wave of growth and the attraction of a large number of new users.

The popularity of bitcoin goes off the chart as it become the mainstream of cryptos. From different wealthy men to celebrities and now being part of the lyrics of one of the best rapper in the world, bitcoin's popularity will just increased more and more. It is a very good endorsement for Bitcoin without needing Satoshi Nakamoto to pay for these big endorsers.

This is good for the development of bitcoin for music lovers, let alone we know that the ability and popularity of eminem is uncertain of the world. This is a good impact for us, even pop / rap singers are using Bitcoin for their active song type. More and more celebrities are using Bitcoin and this is good news for the course. Not only this band some famous soccer players mention this name in their twitter. It produces positive attention. This song will play different areas so many people will join about it. I think btc will become our everyday word soon and there will be no one who does not like btc.

first it was kim kardeshian promoting bitcoin on her instagram page, now eminem mentioning bitcoin in his song, this is a nice step in the right direction for bitcoin, with top celebrities of these magnitude endorsing bitcoin, we would expect mass adoption of the coin from investors and prospective investors alike. We need more celebrities to endorse bitcoin and also use it or accept it as a means of payment for shows and other celebrities function.

What I was thinking, this was another Satoshi Nakamoto who told celebrities to promote bitcoin, this was just a possibility of my mind. But apart from that, bitcoin can have high popularity if many celebrities are active users of bitcoin. A song isn't enough to make everyone use bitcoin, but it needs education about it, either in function or by bitcoin characteristics, especially in terms of price. Although until now bitcoin has a stable price, yeah all we know $ 6000 is still quiet there, but with many possibilities the price of bitcoin will come back volatile.

This is a very unexpected mention of bitcoin, especially in music and even such a famous performer. I think this will make bitcoin even more famous, as Eminem is listened to all over the world.

It is very cool that Eminem decided to mention bitcoin in his work, as it is our modernity, and its reflection in the music is quite logical. And it will also allow someone else to learn about bitcoin.

It's so interesting that bitcoin is mentioned even in songs. And it is unlikely that all listeners of Eminem know what it is. So I hope after listening to this track they went to Google what to learn what bitcoin is.

thanks Eminem, this is exactly the type of publicity we want now for the crypto space to thrive, yes and this will also help facilitate the much ANTICIPATED BULL RUN Roll Eyes. We need more celebrities to publicly endorse bitcoin. Thumbs up Eminem.

Wow this is amazing, top celebrities endorsing bitcoin thereby creating a fair play ground for the bull run, let other celebrities take a leave from this and throw their weight behind bitcoin and crypto currency, this is a step in the right direction.

Hey the extra positive attention in pop culture the better I say. People will be playing music for decades especially from popular artist, it's a nice reference for where bitcoin was at the time.popular

There's also a Bitcoin movie with Kurt Russell coming out.
I have seen some famous movies about Ponzi but never saw a film about Bitcoin. Bitcoin has been crazy over the past 10 years, and it has achieved a lot of success, but significant filmmakers have never published a film about it. I hope that in the future I will soon see it.

Always interesting to read such news, Bitcoin is indeed going to higher places. Music is a good way to promote any agenda in the world. I believe we need more of such from very influential individuals and  celebrities to project the values of bitcoin to the rest of the world. The world would soon appreciate the beauty of bitcoin when this becomes a reality.

This is what crypto and Bitcoin needs, more awareness creation especially from renowned public figures like Eminem. This will throw the challenge to most of his fans to study more about Bitcoin and eventually start patronizing it.

Maybe here Eminem wants to remind us all about the prospect of bitcoin going forward, we know that making song lyrics is not easy, it requires a lot of experience and knowledge. And here Eminem wants to show the world what bitcoin is.
