Do the people buying this coin at $70 realise what they are buying?

How far to ride this train? when the bubble explodes how fast can you get out?

People are effectively choosing to subsidise with their own money a bail out for a bunch of people that have no access at this time even to BTC.

Those who dare to hold this up until the air drop really have got nerve.

Who is seriously getting on the train at this stage?

I am watching this with interest..... i mean the idea is different and interesting.

However who would have thought so many people would effectively wish to give their money to a bunch of strangers, in a country that is so anti crypto in the first place.

I really am watching from the sidelines with interest.

Seriously who would buy this coin at this point?  it if goes up further that would be mad.... but people going in now have big balls that is for sure.

Personally i WANT IT to explode, i mean to see 250M of crypto investment leak back into fiat is terrible.

However full props to anyone that goes in now and makes a profit. Never on here before have i seen such a risk as this. The flags are there for it not having a happy end....other than for those that will be given free money..... do investors know it will be coming from their pockets>

The entire premise relies on there being huge bag holders to pay for this... if everyone dumps before the drop it will look terrible on crypto... like we were teasing .... but who will hold the bag?

I mean do most people investing at this point even understand the concept?

But wow, ... actually it is weird i was told this would happen in PM buy a noob with 12 posts. Nice guy actually but when i went and took a careful look at the entire thing. I just decided people would not be up for 1 trusting the dev, 2 for giving a bunch of strangers their money.

How wrong could i have been.... grrr

But anyway fun to watch and you can't win them all ,..... even if had of bought in low i would have probably been out well before this point anyway...

But really for a copy and paste coin this shows it is the concept that counts not the tech or design of the coin.

This is doing a lot of publicity so that is a good thing.... however it if goes boom before the drop and they all jsut get few cents each or nothing.....it will look pretty bad.... those icelanders have heard of this by now and are probably rubbing their cold hands and spending this money in their heads ..... i hope they get something from it after all.

Good luck to everyone i like the idea..... how did i miss this from the start though....grrrr Smiley

If I were the dev and I was sitting on a good $700 million worth of coin, no matter how pure my original intentions were, there is just no way I wouldn't be quietly selling off the premine. Of course people will notice eventually, and the price would drop, but maybe I'd make 10 or 20 million in the process and be setup for life. Maybe the dev is an honourable guy, but there are few who would turn down that kind of cash.

Add to that the fact that the guy is anonymous. Where's the downside for him? Would there be any actually negative repercussions, apart from angry people in internet forums? I mean, if the guy actually follows through with the plan to distribute the coins, he's a huge sucker.

The Dev isn't going to just cold dump the Iceland shares it would destroy the price immediately. At any point on cryptsy there are only $100k in open orders. So what he gets 100k by dumping shares, would be stupid.

Also, there are only 100k or so coins that belong to anyone. So the current market cap is a fraud. That doesn't mean the coin is a fraud, but the valuation is completely bogus, similar to Ripple.

The valuation on coinmarketcap alone is driving the frenzy right now, mostly irrational thinkers. However, that was the appeal of Ripple as well and it is till hanging around.

The coin compared to Doge, LTC, BTC has a non-existent community and user base. The Dev has brilliantly designed a solution for this by targeting a small audience and promising them their coins.

So what are the likely scenarios:

1. Massive mining of this currently incredibly profitable coin will eventually catch up with hyper speculation and crash the price to where it probably should be.
2. Market cap keeps fresh blood coming in at a pace that holds off mining until the Icelanders all have their coins.

I am going with Option 2 as there are only 100k in circulation right now and there are far more speculators than buyers.

So I think the price will continue up and so will the mining power. THENNNNN at the airdrop.

After the airdrop I actually think there will not be a massive sell off unless the Dev is a complete scammer and dumps the premine, which I doubt at this time. Think of how long it will take for people to register their coins, get their coins, get a wallet, figure out how to sell them, and then sell them. Not going to happen quickly.

If Dev keeps his promise, we will see a world first as an entire nation has a signficant amount of value in new money. I would like to have seen the Dev program in a permanent distribution to Icelanders from fees.

I don't see there being enough coins owned by miners to dump faster than adopters....

I have a feeling that the Dev is a very rich guy who holds millions of BTC. If you have some btc to spare invest it now because it will be a billion market cap within this week. Remember don't invest your life savings.  Wink

This market cap is like ripple's, there are not 10 million coins, only 100k, so very limited coins with lots of paniced alt coin buyers. Also, the volume is very high right now, however, it is still not the most liquid market, if you wanted to buy 10 BTC worth of Aurora you are going to pay a premium, if you want to sell then look out....

But maybe Dev has solved the magic riddle, get on coinmarketcap with clever accounting, watch everyone buy like stupid sheep.
