They should at least only take their commission on the paybacks of each loans. At least this way, they would require more information and would actually care about the payback...

That should be obvious to everybody!

I'd say it's good for lenders. You just create a facebook account and can collect money from stupid "investors".
For investors, I lost 95% of my investment. First, half of lenders default. Second, you loan BTC but get back .... brazilian reals! which is not clearly displayed and you don't realize until your coins are gone.

Me too i had a good experience at my first try from this the lender i was dealed with was a good one and he repaid all his 13 btc debt although one payment was delayed but still repaid all. But sadly there has been no 2nd try etc because of many borrowers defaulted to pay wgat there obligations to pay.

But they will list the age of the accounts associated. It is not wise to loan to new comers or who has new social media accounts

It would be nice, but OP is a newbie who posted this more than 2 years ago. The guy has probably even forget his account.  Grin
But maybe an admin could change it (even if this is not a top priority)  Wink

If they dont make a reply then you are scammed and if you are always being ignored in everyway you did to reach then you should start a scam accusation on this forum against them to attract more opinions or suggestions and advice from other people that might help you on what you have to do.

btcjam has the most incompetent support ever!!!

could go on and on with telling why but i stick to one example:
i ve invested into a loan....the loan wasnt funded in time. so usually ou get reimbursement for the listing and the coins back to your account. so far so good. ive waited for days because the listing status was "processing"....i wrote support and asked when i will get the coins back...they answered: "it takes up to 30 min for transactions to appear and at least 3 confirmations bla bla and i need to check blockchain for my transaction" i was like "did you even read my mail...?"
so i explained it word by word like to a child...ok they tell me i need to wait because of the processing. my question about when i can expect the coins wasnt answered. anyway...at day 5 or so i had the message on the btcjam dashboard that ive been reimbursed for a listing that wasnt funded...i thought great, getting my coins back from the listing. checked the listing and it wasnt in status of processing anymore. but no coins arrived on my account...i checked the tranaction list of btcjam and there just is NO return from this listing. this was on june 16th!!!!!
im still waitng for the coins!

so i wrote btcjam support that i have this message about the reimbursement but no coins.....you wont believe they told me:
"it takes up to 30 min for transactions to appear and at least 3 confirmations bla bla and i need to check blockchain for my transaction"
yes really after a week of mailing they just answered like they did in the first mail...like nothing ever happened and ive not already been in communication about this issue. i was mad. its not about much coins its about the principle.

so i explained AGAIN what my problem is and that the coins just dont arrive at my balance/account. and why am i supposed to wait for weeks and still nothing. well then i commented question this on a listing...it was delated of coarse. not allowed to say anything bad about btcjam even if its tru they jut silence it and act like alll is good.

well now im still waiting on the coins and at some point when the transactions in the btcjam list increase it prob wont be able to proove or tell that im missing coins. they just streach it out til i stop asking. thats my opinion. im collecting coins and getting out of btcjam...i can only tell everyone not to join btcjam...terrible site and support. just a rip off!!!

may be my opinion and yes btcjam has alot of great users too so thats what is positive but all together with the new policy changes its Bullcrap

Sometime in March 2016 they stopped taking Americans, no official announcement from Jam though as they are a bunch of pussies and were afraid that most U.S. borrowers would stop repayments once it was official...which of course did happen!

i have bad experience with this site, i made some tests with small amounts of coins and sent money into 4 listings in different categories from A to D. after the first due date passed, none of the 4 has paid back the first share... as a bitcoin investor i don't recomment this kind of investments, probably other site can give better security to investors somehow, btcjam checks unfortunatly are not enough. i really like the idea of the site but definitly needs to provide more security to the investors.

as far as i can see in this thread and in other posts around the net, there are some persons that payback but the rate of paying is lower than the ones not paying so investor at the end don't make any money making the site worthless from investor pov.

that is just my 2 cents and the way i test the investments possibilities, i putted some money, didn't worked, i move on and don't put serious money on it as the site didn't passed the first test.

OMG it's pathetic. I have noticed that btcjam they were collecting proper documents for the applying the loan. I have tried once before. I got the mail stating that the documents or not enough to process the loan still I have forwarded more docs regarding that. But feeling unhappy they were doing non repayers but why not me.

I dont want you to take it the hard way. But it seems you are in trouble and you should be careful next time to not to give your personal document to anyone on the internet or even legit company since their database can be hacked so not safe too. If btcjam leaks your documents or they get hacked you may get problems.

I had used btcjam on the first moments i joined bitcoin and crypto world, but the way they work leads into several scams happening, even with id and some details confirmed no one will give back your coins, as most countries consider it ilegal. I had invested and roi, with luck  has i had 6 investments and 2 of them repaid the others took my coins away, soo my advice stay away of cloud companies as companies as btcjam working with loans.

im not sure if i understand you correctly but if you are asking if its safe to invest in btcjam well to tell you mate it is not. you are actually not referring to lend your money to btcjam or its own but to people who borrows btc using btcjam as the thrid party. so once the borrower who you lent money with defaulted to pay you, you will lose money and a high chances to never get them back. so its better if you dont try this.
