I'm curious, how will the exchange rate change when it gets listed on a good exchange?
At the moment, with the current market the course can be very easy to manipulate, even with a very small amount of money.

I agree, volume and listings are very slim right now on market.merit.me , but it's a safe escrow service. As the project grows so will the market.

I know the team is actively looking for a solution to an exchange wallet . It'll only be time until it's figured out 👍

In addition, I also like the concept behind it either i.e the three pillars which the project was meant to trigger but I don't know if you guys are planning to do an ICO in the future because I read through your site and road map nothing was said about ICO

Yeah, I was wondering about this.  I agree with the other comment below about how blockchain projects need a lot more funding these days to really be successful.

I see that there is at least one troll on the thread.  I won't quote their comments because that will just give them more air-time than they deserve.  One thing I noticed was that this person makes the claim that "invites" are at a steady distribution rate.

I, for one, actually read the bluepaper.  And in section 4.6, it clearly highlights how invites are distributed.  It's not steady-state at all.  There are three separate lotteries that distribute invites...

Again, I have voiced some concerns and open questions about this project earlier in the thread.  I'd still love to see those answered by a member of the team. 

But I don't think it is at all fair or appropriate to spread misinformation about the project.

I got few question in the whitepaper but all got cleared up when I started browsing the forum post.

There will always be thsoe who think its a pyramid or a Mlm, all we can do is encourage a little reading and point them in the right direction for the answers to their questions.
I had the same thoughts when i first saw it, almost all the people i have invited had the same thoughts when i introduced them.

They are are still holding the coin, as am I, we were convinced by doing a little research and digging.

It's pretty surprising how strong the community is.  I'm not saying anything bad about the coin itself, but with one of the core features being "referrals" on the bloickchain, I would have expected a lot of pure garbage.

Happy to see real users that are actually positive about the project.

Good news, the 1Mil (at least since the founder alluded to more internal funding available) - should take the team through most of 2019 according to an older AMA he did (link on discord- just ask in chitchat)

It's impressive to see how much movement is happening on the dev side knowing the runway and team size. They are showing how productive they can be with this. Very promising.

Thanks for noticing us real ppl  - it's a tough hill to climb when you say the word referral - it's usually a rather large turnoff for people. Add blockchain and it turns even more people off. But when you dig into the bluepaper (and whitepaper) it's clear to see they didnt just throw this together overnight- unique idea that's been well thought through - with a team willing to adjust as needed.

All  those factors + others really made me jump in (and Im not shy to say I jumped in the deep end lol)

I admit- I spied on the past posts I could find    -  I am not on the team BUT I am sure they are lurking and can answer . - is my recap of your open questions/concerns accurate?

1- Why did they decide not to do an ICO when they obviously have something that could have won big?

2- Why go straight to live- net when they could have used the time to dev and build hype?

3- What's the future plan for the market?

4- For Merit to win, crypto needs to win- the timing of this during bear market is risky

1 -  To get a vibe of the founder you can search "Adil Wali" on youtube and see him speak his mind on many topics. Check out this video called "

2 - I would guess they got live-net up to speed for a few reasons- get something usable out there to help the proof of concept to become a reality + improve the speed to market (no one likes a project that sits in testnet for 2 years or those dumb PC games now that are $60 for alpha release)

3 - I know you got a reply about the market (by me   ) -  but I know the core team has spoken about the market being a primary onramp. so other ALTs and Fiat to-be-supported. This would help the non-crypto get on ...while the other crypto ppl like us would eventually see MRT on other exchanges too

4- I think it's a great point that Merit has some nice usability features that push it ahead of other projects, but crypto as a whole needs to win and overall adoption of NEW users will launch Merit (and crypto) forward.

Don't mind him cause that's how people like him does they opened an alt account just to spoil a good project and no matter shit talk he said it won't affect the bullish of merit project. However, this was the exact thing that also led to the 51% attack issues and I wonder when the crypto currency community will start seeing each other as neighbor not enemies.

Hi, actually for GPU miners is a bad period, ASICs and very low coins value push to do a choice. I've mined on Nicehash for a lot of time but now the profit is negative and I prefer the mining for a project with good possibilities and serious developers (the wallet and the market have surprised me for example). I don't know if this is the right choice, but for me is surely the best. To see this project denigrated here on the forum is very sad... not to say anything else...
